CARL WINSLOW WAS A GOOD DAD ON FAMILY MATTERS
Al bundy because hes funny
I would choose Jim from the office - I think he would be a fun and lead back dad.
Al Bundy cause we'd go to strip clubs and drink beer.
I would choose Uncle Phil. Rich, smart, and very supportive. I could turn to him for anything.
Homer Simpson because he has a good heart and is hilarious.
The dad from Family Ties, because he is a intelligent, kind, and liberal.
I would choose the dad from The Middle. He seems very competent and level-headed, even when his wife and kids do ridiculous things. I feel like I could depend on him.
There are so many to choose from! There are so many that I don't even know. I might go old fashioned, before my time, and say Andy Griffith or someone like that. A real old-timey father figure who teaches his children ethics and how to do practical things, often at the same time. A pragmatic and loving parent who knows when and how to be firm and set health boundaries, unlike many parents today.
Adam Braverman- he is loyal, loving, and respected. His siblings count on him for advice and wisdom, he is calm during a crisis, has a strong moral compass, follows his dreams, advocates and stands up for his children, is willing to take chances, and does everything in his power for his family.
probably James Avery from the fresh prince show because he seemed like he truly loved, cared and supporting his tv kids.
Uncle Phil from fresh prince of bell Air, he was real and he cared. I didn’t have a father growing up
I would honestly like Louis Huang because he is funny and he is similar to my own family.
Phil Dunphy (Modern Family) - He's goofy, but he loves his family and provides well for them. He's everything you would want in a father.
Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights because he was a good mix of characteristics.
Jack Pearson from This is Us. He clearly loves his wife and is dedicated to his children and meets each child where they are. He recognizes that each of his three children is different and consequently needs different things from him. He's the best.
Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99 (dad in the latest season). Overall, I think he embodies the kind of dad I would love to have. He is quirky, creative, and willing to risk it all for the people he loves. He is also downright hilarious!
Dan Connor, he worked hard for his family, he loved his wife and his family. They weren't rich they struggled but they still kept on keepin on.
Ben Cartright. Lots of money, brothers and hands to do all the work, a live in cook.
Gomez Addams from the Addams Family because he was always genuinely delighted by his children's hobbies and often helped them, had a passionate relationship with his wife even after 3 children, and was supportive of his mother as she grew older and invited her to live with them.
I would like Rick Moranis from Honey I Shrunk the Kids (1989 film) to be my dad. He really seemed cool and inventive. That mad scientist vibe is appealing to me as a prospective child in a future life.
Probably the brady family dad only because I grew up watching that show
I would choose Al Bundy because of how funny he is.
Do animated series count? I would choose Peter Griffin, the Dad on Family Guy. He is your regular all around Joe. He is very funny also, although I don't think he means to be. He would be my choice.
I would choose uncle phil from fresh prince of bel aire. He was cool, funny, and rich.
probably the dad from home improvement because he has a blend of technical and practical skills but also emotional intelligence with both his family and eccentric neighbor.
Cliff Huxtable was wise, wealthy, and fun.
I would choose Ben Cartwright on the old show Bonanza. He would do anything for his kids...and not spoil them.
I would choose Uncle Phil because he was a good and humane person. He was fun and also a guiding spirit. It was a great show and he was one of the best TV dads there were
I would choose the dad from Wizards of Waverly Place because he is funny. He would be fun but also teaches great life lessons.
Uncle Phil because he is a successful man that I could look up to and he has pretty good morals.
Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince because he would push me to be my best.
I would choose Carl Winslow because he was the best.
I would maybe pick Jerry Seinfeld's dad from Seinfeld because he's super laid back and super funny.
Phillip Banks. He was lienent but hard at the same time. He was very successful, and always was mostly positive with his family.
Wow, what a random question, lol. Ok, I'm old so don't be surprised that it is "Mike Brady" from the series "The Brady Bunch". He had to be the father to six kids, three of which were not his own, and he always seemed to give the best advice to those children. (Sad to say, 10 years ago, it would have been Cliff Huxtable, aka Bill Cosby. What a world, sigh.)
Ward Cleaver all the way. He was reasonable, would listen and had a calm demeanor.
I would pick Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother, since he always seems up for a wacky adventure!
Marty Crane from Frasier. He is a lot like my dad and my father-in-law put together. He has a sense of humor but can also be cranky. He gives good advice and he always has a dog!
Fred Andrews from Riverdale because he is very supportive of his kids
i would choose dan connor. bet he would be fun yet firm in discipling
Everybody Loves Raymond, He is well known and wellrounded.
I would choose Stan Smith. He's the main character from American Dad, which is an animated TV Series along the lines of the Simpsons or Family Guy. He's a top secret CIA Operative who's got a ton of skills that would be cool to learn. He's got an alien and goes to war with Santa every year. Overall I see him as just a well rounded man who takes care of his family. Of course if he was real, he wouldn't have all those crazy adventures and whatnot. He has plenty of flaws but is true to himself and those around him (usually). I would probably only choose him if he was sort of toned down in real life and take him at his core rather than everything else, if that makes sense.
I would choose Walter Nichols from Drake and Josh. Honestly, his goofy character and kind nature reminds me of my own dad.
I would choose Bob Saget from Full House to be my dad. He was always funny and really talented and sweet. He also lived in San Francisco which is really cool. I think his combination of nice and cool would make him a great dad!
John Dutton. To be raised on a farm with family values and to know that family is worth fighting for.
I would choose Phil Dunphy because he’s super supportive and an adorable dorky dad.
Peter Griffen, because he would make my life full of funny antics.
Fred Williams from the tv show Hazel. He was the next door neighbor and had a personality that was interested in his child's well being and academics.
I would have Danny from full house as my father. He seems very involved in his kids lives on the show and really cared about any problems they had and what was going on in their lives. He gave really good advice.
Murray from The Goldbergs. He is funny, laid back and not involved with anything his kids are doing. He has a good heart underneath it all but he is a bit standoffish. But you could basically wrap mom around your finger and get away with anything because dad would never know what you were up to.
It may be because we just finished watching the series, but Mike Heck in The Middle is one of the best dads out there. He's kind but stern to his kids, very intelligent and calm and can usually figure out a way out of any situation. I'm not a fan of shows where the mom or dad are portrayed as dumb or crass.
Tim the Tool Man
Coach Taylor, from Friday Night Lights (TV -- NOT THE MOVIE). Mostly because he loved and respected his wife, the wonderful Tami Taylor, and they were PARTNERS. And they were good parents to their own kids, but also incredible supportive to the kids they taught.
I'd choose Homer Simpson to be my dad! I feel I resonate the most with him and we'd have a great time!
the guy from heartland because i would live on a ranch
I would probably pick Danny Tanner from Full House because he's very wholesome like and seems to put his family ahead of himself. He seems selfless and just a good dad quality.
Mike Brady, probably because he's the one I spent most of my childhood watching. He did seem to care about his step-daughters a whole lot and seemed to be a very grounded individual. Plus he also loved his wife. I liked how Mr. & Mrs. Brady were in love and physically affectionate. The fact that he didn't seem to favor his sons over his step-daughters was also a nice touch.
Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. He may be strict but he knows how to get you to be successful in whatever endeavor you want to get in to.
Would choose Alan Thicke which is my favorite personality and amazing person
I would choose Dan Connor, he has a heart of gold
Chris Cuomo because he is a good worker and a tv star.
As far as the TV dad I liked Mike Brady. He was an all-around good guy who genuinely cared about his children and was interactive with them.
Probably Bob Sagat from Full House. I like his sense of humor.
Hank Hill from King of the Hill. He may not always understand, but he's always there.

PRobaly the guy from full house he seems really caring.
Charles Ingalls on Little House on the Praire, he was hard working pioneer and kept is family safe and secure and taught them to grow up to be honest and fair
George Lopez and why is because of how funny it would be to have someone like that close to you
Tim the toolman. Seems like he'd be the most normal that comes to mind.
Philip "Uncle Phil" Banks from The Fresh Prince, because he was quite funny and really smart, he knew when he had to be tough but also knew when he had to be a loving dad.
Homer Simpson, dummy that always provides a little comic relief but is still a loving dad.
I think that I would choose the Dad from Leave it to Beaver. He always seemed like a neat kind of dad.
Keith Mars from Veronica Mars, he is very witty and responsible. he would also teach me to be a detective
I would choose Jack Pearson. He seems like a nice, level headed, kind but firm, dad.
If I could pick a TV dad it would be Rob Petrie from The Dick van Dyke Show because he had a great sense of humor. Just ask his son Richie!
i would choose al bundy because he is really funny and he still loves his family
Mr. Ward Beaver. He was gentle and kind
I would choose Tim the toolman Taylor. He is funny and down to earth.
I would choose Sandy Cohen from The OC because he seems like a fun dad to hang out with.
The dad from Growing Pains because he was very funny and infinitely patient
pretty much any are better than the father i have, but i would think someone Boothe from Bones would be interesting. law enforcement and military to make an interesting combination
Al Bundy. Because he is one cool dude!
I would pick Danny Tanner because he was the best and always clean
Gomez Adams. but i guess that would make me Pugsley but that's ok. He was just real cool and I still love that show.
Tim Allen because he goes with the flow, doesn't take things too serious, is kind-hearted and of course is funny. And he kinda lets his wife be the disciplinarian.
I would choose Danny Tanner from Full House. He's a great dad who cares about his kids, has a strong support system and cleans.
I would choose Jor El because that would mean I would be on earth with super powers from the sun. I could be a super hero.
vizio my dad says it is real good
Gomez Addams. I know that is bizarre because of the creep factor, but Gomez was a loving husband and father. As an Addams, he always supported the children's ideas and projects and was concerned when the children (and Uncle Fester) didn't act like an Addams. Plus it would be fun to blow up toy trains. LOL
I'd choose the dad from Breaking Bad
I like Dre on Blackish. He's real and that's what I would have wanted in my household.
No, TV dads were like my dad, but if I had to choose one I would choose the dad from Home Improvement because he was caring and funny.
I would choose Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec. I think that he would teach me a lot of hands-on knowledge that would be useful later in life.
tim allen from home improvement. i chose him because he is fun and unpredictable. he would be a dad that you could have a lot of fun with playing in the backyard or wherever. he would be the kind of dad to take to the toy store because he would buy whatever you asked for.
Rick from Rick and Morty. Because why not, it would be awesome to have a dad that can go anywhere in space and time. Traveling through dimensions and seeing all the alternate realities. At the end of the day he cares about his family and even though sometimes it gets really rough, he always comes through.
Danny Tanner, because he's funny.
petter griffin because he is hilarious.
I’d pick Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights. He seems like a firm dad but also a fun one and a great coach. Clear eyes, Full hearts!
I think if I had to choose one dad it would be John Goodman's character on the Rosanne show - Dan Conner. He is strict but yet laid back at the same time, which is cool.
Kevin from Brothers and Sisters. He is financially stable and fun, and there would be tons of aunts and uncles around
Probably Martin Crane from Frasier. He may be tough on the exterior, but he has good morals.
DR HEATHCLIFF HUXTABLE HE SEEMED LIKE A PERFECT HE WAS FUN BUT WAS ABLE TO DISCIPLINE HIS CHILDREN
Aaron Hotchner from criminal minds because he seems to be a very caring, dedicated, and mindful person.
Phil Dumphey.... from modern family. He is loving , caring and hilarious
I think that I would choose Peter Griffin to be my real dad because he has a good heart, and even though he's not really that bright, it means I can take advantage of him and get him to do things that I want.
Tim Taylor. He's smart and fun and keeps things interesting.
Bob Belcher, he loves his kids a lot and he also enjoys being around them. He has special things he does with each of the kids which I think is important in a parent. He also jokes around with his kids but has boundaries and sets rules in a good balance. He also doesn't have high rigid expectations for his kids and lets them be themselves which is something I find really really important in a dad, not only that he supports them and does ridiculous things for his family to show his love even though they drive him crazy sometimes.
Jay Pritchett from Modern Family because he has lived and always has good advice.
The Dad on "Eight is enough" he seemed compassionate and relatable.
There are a few. Jack from "This Is Us" is the father who tells their kids he's proud of them, while tough on them, he's soft to make sure he's always there for them because his dad wasn't their for him. Danny Tanner from "Full House" because everything will be super clean and always put together. Then you need the comic relief of Homer Simpson from "The Simpsons" that he's the father you like to joke around with and have no problem admitting he's your dad.
I would choose Homer Simpson, while he is portrayed as an idiot, he has shown throughout the series that he cares for his family.
I would choose to be Peter Griffin from family guy. This is because Peters days always seen to be to be filled with adventure and problems. I feel having Peter as a father would always be exciting. However, there is a softside of Peter that often gets overlooked. Peter sometimes has these moments when he realizes how important his family is to him and he would do anything to support them.
Martin Crane from Frasier. He is really funny and down to earth, he has good morals and knows how to have a fun time
Homer Simpson because he does everything he can to take care of his family despite being less than perfect.

I would choose Raven Backsters dad off of that's so Raven. I like him because he is comical and still a good dad.
Danny Tanner, hands down. He was super kind, silly and supportive.
Don De Fore on Hazel, (George Baxter). I think he idealizes the near perfect Dad. This character also upholds high standards in his role. He is a redounded Attorney but does not flaunt this fact.
I think I would choose Mr. Universe from Steven Universe because although he is unconventional, he treats Steven with respect and cares about him a lot. He lets him go on adventures with the Crystal Gems but also emphasizes the importance of education and staying true to yourself.
Mr. Epps from Numbers because I think he is a very understanding father
I would choose Leroy Jethro Gibbs from NCIS. He is tough, no nonsense, but caring. The way he is with everyone, he treats them like family. His door is always unlocked so they can come to him anytime.
Tim Allen. Because he's funny and good with tools, and a caring good hearted guy.
I 'm going to choose Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. He is compassionate, understanding, and sometimes willing to take the extra mile for his children. This is the definition of a true father. It's a dad to turn to whenever you need help.
carl winslow because he was a cop. he was funny. you could put things past him.
If would not be anyone as they are all just actors and not real.
he watch CNN news because he is like news and everyday watch details about COVID-19
very nice one to see and really nice one
I would like to have Wayne Szalinski from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" as a dad, as he cares very much for his family and comes up with lots of zany inventions. It would be a lot of fun to see what experiments he comes up with, especially since the TV series expanded on this and he even invented things like time travel devices with Disney watches as the method to return to their time.
I would choose Marty Bird from Ozark because he is willing to do anything for his family.
I would pick Bob Belcher from Bob's Burgers. He's hardworking, loves his children (even if they're crazy), and there would always be good food. He's family oriented, and his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, which I really love about him. He's loyal to friends and can easily be talked into an adventure.

Chuck Connors as the dad in The Rifleman. He was always honest, upstanding and treated his son with respect. He was firm but understanding and nothing seemed to get the better of him.
Stan smith from American Dad just because of the sheer amount of patriotism.
I would choose Hank Hill. He is a caring man who does his best to be the best dad for his kid. He isn't so close minded that he won't admit that he can make a mistake, but he'll stand his ground. I know he would do his best to support me in the ways that he could.

A tv dad for me would be Marty Crane from Frasier. He says it like it is, but is down to earth and warm hearted. He would be my favorite.
Al Bundy because he told it how it should be!
Right now my choice would be Johnny Rose. I just love how he loves and accepts his family no matter what. He adores and supports his crazy wife LOL and accepts his children without question.
I would probably choose Jesse from full house because he is kind and caring and very protective of his children.
Herman on Chicago Fire. Not only is he a brave fireman but he has great integrity. He really cares for his at home family as well as his work family.
I would choose Ross Geller because he is fun.
Danny Tanner from Full House. He's level headed, caring, funny and intelligent.
Mike Brady from the Brady Bunch. He was always there when his kids needed him, always there for his wife too. All problems worked out in the time slot and everyone was always happy, at least at the end of the show.
Jack Pearson from This is Us. He always seems to know just what is needed by his kids in different moments. His analogies always make sense, and he is calm with his kids when it matters, and encouraging when needed.
Phil Dunphy from Modern Family. He seems like a dad who is fun to be around but also truly cares about his family. He I think overall is what people think of when they imagine an "average" dad.
HOMER SIMPSON - HE WORKS HARD FOR HIS FAMILY, HE'S FUNNY, HE ISN'T AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES OR LOOK SILLY
Archie Bunker reminds me of my own father, even though he's got some problems with the way he deals with people who are different from him. My father has passed away, and I miss him. Archie is a real bigot but he loves his wife and family. I feel like he can learn to be a better person. He strikes me as more real than other TV dads.
I would choose Andy Griffith, because he was always down-to-earth, never over-emotional, very fair, and very trustworthy. Andy Griffith also had a very good sense of humor and was very likeable.
Homer Simpson because he reminds me of a real person with flaws and all
Andy Taylor had a lot of good advice for folks.

Carl Winslow - He was kind, strong, and gave great support and advice to his kids and Steve Urkel. Also, he had a great marriage with Harriet, and a good marital relationship can be a big factor for a happy home for kiddos.
I will choose Bob Belcher Sr., Bob's Burgers because he is loving, kind, and always willing to go above and beyond for his family.
Oh, wow, this one is hard. I'd have to say Fred Andrews in Riverdale. He sticks by Archie even after his mom leaves. It was really sad that Luke Perry passed away, but I am glad they decided to retire his character in the show instead of replacing him with another actor. Luke Perry always seemed like he would be a good guy in real life, too.I guess that's the best I could come up with.
Homer Simpson, no matter the trials or tribulations he goes through as a person, he always puts his family first, and is just extremely lucky.
Apple. It's symbolist, modern, popular.
Charles Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. Closest I could think of, but still a far cry from how perfect my dad was. I think a dad needs to be strong but soft protective but also let their children grow and learn.
Tim the tool man Taylor. That guy could build anything and he had good morals and ideas. He was the man and a great role model.
A good dad in a show I watched recently was the lead character on the show Longmire. He was very supportive of his daughter and her career and her difficulty with her mother's death.
