The results of this PickFu poll were a close call. It seemed that the 100 potential customers liked both of the packaging options, although Option B came out slightly ahead.
Respondents said that Option A’s lighter colors were friendly and appealing. But more agreed that Option B’s brighter shades were more likely to convince them to click on Amazon.
What respondents liked about the brighter palette
When explaining their choices, respondents shared insights like:
- “I like that the package for Choice B is brighter. I like how the colors of the rainbow blend and is generally more realistic. I also like how it’s also rainbow-colored on the back. I feel like since it is brighter it would stand out better, and it also makes the package easier to read.”
- “[Option] A is more attractive to me because it looks more calm and soothing. It makes me think it will be softer and more gentle on my skin. I think it would look better on my bathroom counter with all of my other products and not draw too much attention, too.”
- “I chose [Option B] because the bright rainbow pop of colors pulled me in and made me look at it a lot more than the more muted second option. With no black border, it is also easier to read the writing on the package with the bright and bold background versus the lighter colors in the second option.”
- “Even though I prefer pastel colors, the packaging for [Option] B appeals more to me for makeup wipes. I feel like if the product seems more vibrant, it will work harder to remove the makeup. I know it’s the same product, but bold colors seem more appropriate!”
The women noted the brighter colors were both eye-catching and more practical, making the white text easier to read. Additionally, brighter colors gave some shoppers the impression that the wipes would be more effective.
