But in a crowded marketplace like Amazon,  how do sellers capture the attention of their parents?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sellers understand that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/amazon-listing-optimization\/\" class=\"ek-link\">perfecting an Amazon listing<\/a> can boost the chance of making a sale. Amazon optimization requires getting every aspect of that listing right, from the name of the product to the images featured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" class=\"ek-link ek-link ek-link\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/ecommerce\/product-images\/which-design-is-more-usable-BWDP8ZY3\" target=\"_blank\">In this PickFu poll<\/a>, a seller asked 100 people to shine a light on which product image was most attractive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"5075\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-1.jpg?fit=500%2C500\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=5075\" class=\"wp-image-5075\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"5077\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-2.jpg?fit=500%2C500\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=5077\" class=\"wp-image-5077 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/light-2-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Which option do you think won?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:200px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"which-one-won\">Which One Won?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Though the two main images are similar, there was one crucial difference. Option A shows the nightlight in action, helping it to win the PickFu poll by an almost 2-to-1 margin. Respondents felt that Option A would help them to make a more informed decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s some of the feedback that the seller got from the poll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>\u201cI chose Option A as the design that is more usable because the image shows how the product is used, and the design looks more durable overall.\u201d<\/li><li>\u201cI think that Option A displays the product in a better light because it shows it in use and how it would be used if purchased. I think I could be confused as to what the product was if I only saw Option B, so for that reason, I would surely be more likely to click on Option A and think that the design shown in Option A is more usable.\u201d<\/li><li>\u201cI chose Option A because it looks a whole lot better than Option B, and it shows what the item is for. Option B looks confusing with the way it is pictured. I like that Option A has the socket depicting that this item plugs in. Option B doesn&#8217;t have a clear picture that gives consumers an idea of what this product is meant to do.\u201d<\/li><li>\u201cIn my opinion, design Option A is more usable because I can see how it&#8217;s used in a real outlet and how it would work if it were plugged in, so it gives me an idea of how to make it work in my home.\u201d<\/li><li>\u201cThey look the same, just different angles. The one showing the functionality is more helpful.\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Customers felt that both pictures were \u201cusable,\u201d as the seller asked. Both images adhere to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/amazon-image-requirements\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Amazon image guidelines<\/a> and look professional. But to then, <strong>Option A <\/strong>prevailed because it showed the product in use. Additionally, the second picture left some people questioning what the product was. <\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"shining-a-light-on-your-customers\">Shining a light on your customers<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/choosing-the-best-product-image\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Choosing the right main image<\/a> for your product listing can be a difficult choice.
