A tagline differentiates you within your industry and sets you apart from your competitors. For everything else, there\u2019s MasterCard.<\/strong> This two-sentence slogan captures a larger idea behind the MasterCard brand. It doesn&#8217;t focus on selling the card, but rather on the benefit the card will bring to the user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Melts in your mouth, not in your hands<\/strong>. The M&amp;M\u2019s slogan immediately gets to its core proposition: chocolate that\u2019s less messy and thus, more convenient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Quicker Picker Upper.<\/strong> Bounty\u2019s tagline taps into our brain\u2019s attraction to repetition by using consonance, or similar sounds in close proximity. The tagline was so effective, the company used it for more than 50 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Betcha can\u2019t eat just one!<\/strong> With this tagline, Lay\u2019s essentially dares us to try its product, assuming we can\u2019t resist the crunchy, salty snack. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to succinct messages that conjure up the image and essence of a brand, these companies got it right.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-do-you-write-a-tagline\">How do you write a tagline?<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Writing a tagline can be a fun and creative challenge, but it\u2019s not a task that should be rushed. Put time and thought into these four steps and you\u2019ll land on a tagline that packs a punch.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-write-your-company-description\">1. Write your company description<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Before hammering out a tagline, you need to know exactly what your company stands for: its mission, vision, and values. Write it all out in a paragraph or two. Read it over. Edit and remove anything that doesn\u2019t quite fit. <\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-trim-the-description-to-one-sentence\">2. Trim the description to one sentence<\/h3>\n\n\n<p>Simplicity is key to this task.
