That\u2019s a lot of kibble and chew toys, not to mention competition on pet store shelves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a aria-label=\"good tagline (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/how-to-write-a-tagline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">good product tagline<\/a> cuts through the fluff (or fur). Who better to weigh in on a tagline for a pet health supplement than the people who buy them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <a aria-label=\"this PickFu poll (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/business\/business-names-taglines\/which-tagline-under-the-brand-logo-appeals-more-to-you-for-a-pet-health-supplement-brand-WVUIDJ1G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">this PickFu poll<\/a>, the user presented four tagline options under the BestLife4Pets brand logo to an audience of 50 dog and cat owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the taglines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Option A: Because Your Pets Deserve The Best<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Option B: They\u2019re FAMILY<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Option C: Helping pets be happy and healthy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Option D: They\u2019re not pets. They&#8217;re Family \u2014 with a final tally of 31 votes and a score of 62. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Option A<\/strong> came in second with a score of 38, followed by <strong>Options B<\/strong> and <strong>C<\/strong>. (In case you\u2019re wondering, here&#8217;s <a aria-label=\"how we count votes in a Ranked poll (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/help.pickfu.com\/en\/articles\/4733975-how-are-the-scores-calculated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">how we count votes in a Ranked poll<\/a>.) Let\u2019s take a closer look at the results.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"all-in-the-family\">All in the family<\/h2>\n\n\n<p><em>They\u2019re family<\/em>. That phrase in Options B and D resonates because, well, according to respondents, it&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPets are family, and I love that the brand states that fact,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, Options D and B were the favorites <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/business\/business-names-taglines\/which-tagline-under-the-brand-logo-appeals-more-to-you-for-a-pet-health-supplement-brand-WVUIDJ1G#ftraits=(age-range~!*45-54yo~*55-64yo)~\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"among respondents ages 45-54 and 55-64, respectively (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">among respondents ages 45-54 and 55-64, respectively<\/a> \u2014 the prime age range of empty-nesters who probably miss having human family members around the house.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1335\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home.jpg\" alt=\"Two dogs and a cat on a sofa\" class=\"wp-image-7508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home-449x300.jpg 449w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home-970x647.jpg 970w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/welsh-corgi-dogs-and-british-longhair-cat-on-sofa-at-home-1536x1025.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2000px) 100vw, 2000px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">What wouldn&#8217;t you do \u2014 or buy \u2014 for your pets?<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>So why did Option D end up the winner? To some, Option B (They&#8217;re FAMILY) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/business\/business-names-taglines\/which-tagline-under-the-brand-logo-appeals-more-to-you-for-a-pet-health-supplement-brand-WVUIDJ1G#ftext=generic\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"sounded more generic (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">sounded more generic<\/a>; Option C (Helping pets be happy and healthy) got similar feedback. <a aria-label=\"Respondents mostly agreed with Option A's sentiment (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/business\/business-names-taglines\/which-tagline-under-the-brand-logo-appeals-more-to-you-for-a-pet-health-supplement-brand-WVUIDJ1G#ftraits=(options~!A)~\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">Respondents mostly agreed with Option A&#8217;s sentiment<\/a> that pets deserve the best. Still, it wasn&#8217;t as &#8220;personal&#8221; as the others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimately, Option D did the best job of expressing how important pets are to their owners. BUT. It could be better, some respondents said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This panelist said it best: \u201cI like [Option] D best but I\u2019d change it a little. I\u2019d change it to \u2018They\u2019re not just pets. They\u2019re family.\u2019 It seems weird to have <em>pets<\/em> be in the name and right under it say they aren\u2019t pets.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"other-highlights\">Other highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>40% of male respondents preferred Option D<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Female respondents were more evenly split between the four taglines: Option A (20%), Option B (25%), Option C (25%), Option D (30%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only 16.7% of respondents who earn more than $101,000 a year voted for Option A, Because Your Pets Deserve The Best<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"970\" height=\"263\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pickfu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart-970x263.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7665\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart-970x263.png 970w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart-470x127.png 470w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart-768x208.png 768w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart-1536x416.png 1536w, https:\/\/blog.pickfu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/chart.png 1772w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 970px) 100vw, 970px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The results filtered by respondents&#8217; income level.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-they-said\">What they said <\/h2>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI liked [Option] D and how the tagline states that they are family. [Option] D sounds more welcoming and inviting while keeping my interest. [Option] C sounds too generic and could be used for anything to make it sound special.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI care about my animals more than most of my family. I chose [Option] D. I like this slogan as it is very correct to pet lovers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI really like Option A, the tagline almost rhymes as well which makes it more memorable to me. Option B I think is the worst one out of the bunch. It just sounds too generic for me to pick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOption C is straightforward without being too cutesy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-takeaway\">Key takeaway<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The family bond between pet and owner is powerful. Pet parents are passionate about their pets.
