Which name do you prefer for a business that provides innovation, leadership, and consulting services to small, mid, and large companies?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 26 votes after 3 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

Marcus Group is the best name. I do not care for the others
Short and sweet is best if you want people to remember the name. Lyell is hard to pronounce, Marcus is just an easy pleasing name to see and say.
I prefer A; it's simple and clear. C is also pretty good. E and B are just ok. I don't like D; it's too long and cumbersome
I prefer the option A name because the Marcus group sounds like a leading consulting company and has many good staff on hand to solve problems. I chose options B and C second and third because the and company name suggests it has more resources than the unlimited name, which sounds artificial. I chose option E fourth because the consortium sounds more interesting than the innovation institute seen in the option D name.
I think if the founders' names are Marcus and Lyell that they should both be included, but perhaps "The Marcus and Lyell Group"?
The last three are pretty bad and stuffy sounding.
I think option A is really the only choice for a name of an consulting company. Option A is my favorite choice by far.
I chose option A. It is very nice to see and umbrella of help out there. I like the name, "The Marcus Group" the best.
I like option A, I like traditional sounding names and The Marcus Group sounds completely legit.
Some titles kind of remind me of a legal firm. I picked the options that sound like a consulting firm
A makes the most sense. It has the sound of a business that knows its business. One that you would think is knowledgeable in the area of consulting. B does the same thing just not as powerful as A. As for the res i think they sound over complicated for what you are trying to do. Keeping it simple can and will get the message across.
I picked the names that sound the most professional here, I think that keeping it simple with 2 of 3 words here is the way to go
A sounds professional, C a little boastful but still professional. D sounds made up and B requires you to know who Marcus Lyell is.
I prefer this option the best. This seems easy to remember plus there is a benefit that many services can fit under this umbrella. BTW, the name with 'Institute' sounds more like a school rather than a consulting firm.
The Marcus Group has a nice professional and classic sound that seems trusted.
A sound the most professional to me.
I chose by options that sound professional and helpful and also approachable.
I think Option A is the clear winner of five choices. I think Option A sounds the most professional and reputable. The Marcus Group has such a nice ring to it and it looks appealing too.
I much preferred the names that were simple and easy to pronounce. The more complicated the name was perceived, the lower I placed it in the rankings.
The Marcus group is very simple and easy to remember. I think it stands out the most
I think that A is easiest to say and remember. D and C sound modern and forward thinking. Consortium in E may be hard for some to say or spell. B isn't as relatable or pertinent for me.
I like they ones that have the name Marcus in it. Marcus sounds like a more premium, top shelf. established brand.

I like this it makes them stand out more to me and shows that they are a great business, I like the name it makes them sound more professional.
Option A is 1st Because if this name is used then the name will not need to be changed if more people are accepted or join. A is 2nd because it's like B, but it does not include both of the main names in the name. D is 3rd because the name is good but not as good as the previous 2 names. C is 4th because unlimited is kind of vague as to what the purpose is. E is last because some people may not know exactly what consortium means.
I chose B because, of all the options, it sounded the most professional and well-established.
My choices are based on the name I like best and would attractive me to this type of company. My top choice is Option B. I like the name, it fits well with the mission of the business.
"Marcus Lyell and Company" is really good. It gives off the impression of professionalism. Same type of feel that a law firm has. so yeah, I think option B is a great fit. I think it's just right.
I like the sound of the names in B and A the most. Others look good too but I'd rather not use the name in C.
I prefer option B the most because this sounds professional yet simple, has a good flow and balance in name.
I prefer the simplicity of b and a — the names of d, e, and c sound sort of convoluted and less trustworthy than the more straight ahead names.
B sounds the most professional. It has a nice, elegant sound to it.
I like the straight name with the company.
3 Responses to Option C
Most of the options are clear-cut in their purpose with only a handful being limited or vague. Overall, the brands seem trustworthy as presented and mostly suitable being comprised of several appropriate words.
I like option C the best followed by D, A, E and then B.
I piked the easiest title that flows off the tongue the best
7 Responses to Option D
D is a strong name that works well. Very dominant for the market!
I feel the Lyell name is needed to separate this from the others. I would use "The Lyell Institute of Innovation" as the best name to mention exactly what this is for. I think option D is the best sounding name. "The Lyell Consortium" in option E also has a nice ring to it. I think the full name for "Marcus Lyell and Company" would make for a good third alternative.
It's memorable and you know it's about innovation, that is the best one by far. Other than that the more simplistic and flowing the better.
The last one e sounds a bit goofy but all of these are just a person's name. Marcus or lyell. The Marcus group or the innovation institute.
I feel like choices D and B are both professional and unique sounding.
I am a supportive of innovation so this choice is my pick. It is very insightful and appealing to me
Option D is hands-down the best option. E isn't too bad, Lyell has a good ring to it.
8 Responses to Option E
I've always loved the term "consortium," which sounds so masterful and exclusive, impressive, so Option E is my strong first choice.
I like the unique and professional names best, the more generic sounding ones less. Best luck!
More straightforward and to the point, easy to remember as well
A consortium sounds well established and as if it staffed with very experienced advisors.
Option E with consortium in the name makes me think of an extensive team working on my brhalf.
I like surname first
Option E because name implied that a multiple of services were being offered
I like the implication of the word "consortium", so E is my top choice.
