Which restaurant name do you like best?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 31 votes after 5 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

Because this business concept has many facets and different experiences, I think the use of the words, "culinary" or "gourmet" in the name is appropriate and fitting, which is why I ranked options A and E the highest. The use of the year 1972 was unimportant, which is why I ranked options B and F last.
I like A the best. Lucas Culinary Kitchen represents this concept better than the other options. B, E, D and C are next. F is last.
Lucas Culinary Kitchen is the best looking and sounding name. Sophisticated and love the idea there. Lucas Gourment Kitchen is close as well. Good name for that too. The 1972 numbers are not bad either. Cafe Lucas and The Gourmet Kitchen are a bit generic here. First two work best I feel.

Lucas 2972 culinary kitchen implies the restaurant has been around and has stood the test of time. Culinary kitchen implies highly skilled chefs at eork.
I chose option B, Lucas 1972 has a bit of character to it. It certainly stands out from the rest, and that's what you're looking for.
B is simple but sounds great, it portrays authenticity with their names. In the game for a long time.
I like the names that are more descriptive as to what customers can expect.
I ranked them based on how high quality I think each one is. I like the touch of 'Lucas 1972' with the additional description underneath.
I like having the date along with a small tagline the best, plus it's easier to google.
I like B because it feels like Lucas 1972 is the name of the establishment and is a restaurant, and "A Culinary Kitchen" reflects the non-restaurant attributes of the place.
I like B. The amount of text gives a weight and gravitas that the others do not have.

I like the name in option C the most, so that is the one I would choose.
i think a shorter yet more personable name would do this sort of place well
I like using the chef's name. It helps with the name recognition. I like the names that make the restaurant seem like it is a high quality, five star restaurant
I prefer option C. I prefer a simple name. I like to let the simple name come to represent how good the experience it going to be.
I'm a big fan of keeping it simple. Simple is good. So, with that in mind, I like option C, "Cafe Lucas". Everyone will understand that it's a cafe. Beyond that, I'm always mixed about putting years in titles. I mean, are you trying to imply the brand has been around since 1972? Or are you trying to just imply the brand has heritage and history. If no one has heard of it before, then the year won't really mean anything. I'm always dubious of a brand that tries to imply it has heritage, when it doesn't really have any. Besides, your products and services will speak for themselves. So, if it was me, unless you really have been operating since 1972, then I would leave the year off of the title.
The names of my top choices are more broadly appealing.
Option C does a great job at giving it more of an upscale sound. I would assume that everything is fresh, and gourmet based on the name alone.
Cafe Lucas is short and memorable. It's not too generic. It really makes me wonder who Lucas is. Is he the head chef?
I thought C had the best feel and sentiment to it, and it was the best fit for the description. I also liked F and B.
B was too clunky and D was too generic. I liked that C and F felt the most unique and memorable.
Cafe Lucas or The Gourmet Kitchen sound the best and make the most sense I think.
A beautiful space full of greenery to transport you to an Orchard. The Orchard Cafe Lucas
The simplest and most direct name works best for me
I prefer option C because it gives off the most high class vibe while also being a straightforward and simple name.
I chose C because having the word "cafe" in the name suggests that the restaurant will be serving small plates.
Option c has the persons name and the word cafe can mean many types of different restaurants.
My first choice for restaurant name for a restaurant concept to attract local customers and out of town tourists option is C because Café Lucas sound personal and a place where food is served and it sends the concept of not a large establishment.Second choice is option a because Lucas Culinary Kitchen which sounds inviting and interestingThird choice is option d because The Gourmet Kitchen Which sounds like a verityFourth choice is option b because Lucas 1972 A Culinary Kitchen Which sounds personal and a skillFifth choice is option e because Lucas Gourmet Kitchen sounds goodSixth choice is option f because Lucas 1972 is not a clear concept or meaning
I feel that cafe Lucas gives off a personal vibe.
I like the shorter name plus it has a outdoor european cafe feel to it.
8 Responses to Option D
The term gourmet gives a quality vibe. The term kitchen encompasses both the restaurant kitchen and the home kitchen.
D sounds the best to me, the others have a real air of pompousness to them that turned me off.
I think the word Lucas sounds trashy and does not match the caliber of the restaurant. This is why like option D, without the name Lucas.
I like D through A nearly equally, and don't care for neither B nor F as much.
The Gourmet Kitchen has a really nice ring to it and sounds like a must-try for foodies, and I expect high quality from it. A and E were nearly the same for me, but Lucas Culinary Kitchen hints that it's more than just a place to eat. Whenever there are numbers in a restaurant name it comes off a little pretentious to me, which is why I ranked those two towards the bottom. Cafe Lucas implies to me that it's just a place to eat.
Option D sounds better than every other option.
Option F doesn't give any information. I think that option D is short, sweet and to the point.
I’m not sure I really like the name Lucas for a restaurant, so this is the best option here. It tells me that his gourmet, which I really like, and the fact that it’s a kitchen makes it feel more like home.
5 Responses to Option E
Really like the first two. Not a big fan of B and D though just think they are to long I guess also the 1972 is a little confusing, I like it but not sure if that is when you were born or when the place started. I am thinking the former but not 100% sure. Either way good luck on your business.
I’d keep Lucas in and the year out. That noted, I think Option E works best.
I like option E the best because "Lucas Gourmet Kitchen" is simple and to the point. I like that it has the name in front of "Gourment Kitchen" because that it makes it sound like a family run business.
I like using the name Lucas and I also think that three words is a good medium length
The name with Lucas in the name is the best with the text font used along with the culinary kitchen and gourmet alternatives.
7 Responses to Option F
F I feel is the best name as it is able to be unique, stand out, and draw my interest to it the most.
F Lucas 1972 I like the way it sounds and I think people will remember it too. C Cafe Lucas sounds like a good name. B This name is alright with the main name and sub-name. A The name is alright. E The name is ok. D The name needs to stand out more than this. Anyone could call it this. **** Your place sounds unique, make sure you give it a unique name.
Option F & C: Shortest restaurant names and the catchiest in my opinion.Option B: I like the name and think it's unique, but "A Culinary Kitchen" seems redundant to mention if people already know it's a restaurant (especially if it were to get popular and well-known)Option A E & D: "Meh" names. They're ok, but didn't stand out to me and they're the longest ones. Selected in a random order.
F and B are my top two choices. They're the only two that feel original and are memorable. The others - I wouldn't remember, they don't stand out and there are dozens (if not hundreds) of other restaurants with those names.
I like f. Stands out and is easily remembered.
Option F because the name is short and simple to people to remember
I picked F because it's a name that seems long standing and authentic.
