Which sounds like the name of a Fire Ant Pesticide
43 Responses to Option A
Diatoms sounds more scientific and tested.
Option B sounds like a fruit snack
actually I really don't care for either one of them
Sounds very scientific and effective.
It is simply easier to say - less syllables
It sounds like die
THIS ONE SOUNDS MORE LIKE ONE
Option B sounds like something fruity
The other sounds like something else entirely
it sounds more fierce
Totally sounds like a bomb for bugs
I am able to figure out what it says, the other one is just too hard to pronounce.
Not too sure about Diatoms, but I know for certain that "Frustules" sounds like a joke and is therefore inappropriate for a serious product name
They both sound terrible, but I guess Diatoms? I have no idea
Easier to pronounce
I just couldn't really figure out how I would pronounce B, so Option A seemed like the better choice! Dia- diabolical -- is another reason, because those red ants are assholes.
Not sure what either word means, but option B sounds more like a cereal.
i dont know, the other reminds me of fruit
This one sounds peppery and hot.
frustules reminds me of frost
I can pronounce this one. I don't know how to say the other one out loud.
It sounds scientific in its own way.
I'm taking A for Atom Ant. Simple as that.
The other one sounds like a snack for humans.
The other one sounds like some kind of math symbol.
Frustules doesn't sound appealing. Frustules sounds like a part of a body (I think it's because of the -ules ending).
The first syllable sounds like "die".
i seem to have heard of these before, the other one, never.
A is easier to pronounce and sounds more like a dangerous insect killer.
Not so much that DIATOMS does, but more that FRUSTULES sounds like some particle that causes frustration.
sounds more descptive
DIATOMS sounds like a substance that will kill insects when you say the name aloud. It sounds powerful, simple, and to-the-point.
I don't really understand option B and option A actually sounds like it makes sense
Diatoms seems easier to pronounce, although I didn't care for either choice.
The first word seems awkward, the second sounds more scientific
I think I've seen that word before and it looks easier to say.
it just sounds more appropriate. i don't like either, but A is better.
Choice A sounds like it was derived from diatomaceous earth and I like it better, so I chose this one.
Sounds like a pesticide.
these are equally abstract and strange to me.
"Diatoms" sounds like it's really going to kill things.
I believe option A is a little more fitting to a pesticide name. Option B just sounds like nonsense.
Neither one sounds like a pesticide to me, but Option B sounds like something Dr. Suess would make up. At least DiAtoms sounds vaguely scientific.

B sounds more appropriate
I only chose this one because the other one is already the name of a microorganism.
Both names sound weird to say, but I prefer saying this name.
Starts with F, like fire
Can Punchy from Hawaiian Punch be the mascot? Or are their copyright laws against such things??
Because fire ants are frustrating. It seems to fit a lot better.
They both sound weird, but diatoms sounds more like a "sciency" term and not a pesticide.
