I chose A because it was more professional in its wording.

I think "Independent work made simple" clearly expresses the company's goal - to simplify a sole proprietor's business by taking care of back office functions allowing the business owner to focus on his customers. Also, I think this phrase just sounds better than "Empowering independent work". Empowering is a word I feel is overused, and I'm not sure one can empower work; empowering workers would make more sense.

People are always looking for an easier way to do things. Whether it's apps on their tablets or phones, or other short cuts they can take in life. Telling them the site makes things simple will draw more people to it. They are already doing the independent work, but this tells them it will be easier for them.

I like this one better because it really gets down to the nitty gritty. Who doesn't want to be empowered while they are working?
