# Does PickFu offer audience pre-screening questions?

> PickFu doesn't offer pre-screening questions, but you can screen respondents with 122+ audience targeting traits or add screening questions to surveys.

No, PickFu does not currently offer pre-screening questions that filter out respondents based on their answers *before* they take your poll or survey.

# How to screen your audience

Use **audience targeting traits** to screen respondents before they see your poll or survey. Select from 122+ demographic, behavioral, and geographic traits in the audience targeting step of the survey builder to ensure only qualified respondents in your target audience participate. If you don't see the trait you need, select **Request a trait** in the survey builder or submit the [trait request form](https://forms.pickfu.com/trait-request).

You can also use **demographic questions** to collect additional data about respondents for (such as their age or income range) to help you segment and analyze your insights based on specific audience traits.

# Can I ask screening questions in a survey?

Yes, you can include screening questions as part of a survey. However, respondents will complete all questions regardless of their answers – PickFu does not support branch logic or conditional filtering that removes respondents mid-survey based on their responses.

For example, you can ask "Have you ever purchased a wireless speaker?" as your first survey question, but respondents who answer "No" will still see and answer the remaining questions. You'll evaluate their screening answer as part of the complete survey data.

If you need to exclude respondents based on specific criteria, use audience targeting traits upfront rather than relying on survey questions to filter them out.
