# Poll sample size tips

> Guidance on choosing a poll sample size, from 50-respondent panels to 1,000-person studies, with a goal-based chart and AI analysis tips for surveys.

Over the years we’ve tested many sample sizes - from very few to hundreds - and found that having a panel size of 50 consistently yielded good, high-quality feedback. Having a group of 50 people is a good balance for price, quick turnaround on answers and a non-skewed audience, especially for iterative testing. With that being said, there are some instances where we suggest going bigger and there are customers who require a larger sample size for tests and that's why we offer the range that we do.

The addition of our AI highlights (available on all polls) makes analyzing all those responses incredibly easy and insightful, saving you time and resources (especially for those large sample sizes).

* In **AI sentiment**, you'll get a breakdown of overall likes and dislikes for each option/image shown.

* To get next steps or drill down on additional insights from the responses collected, you can use **AI labs** to ask questions about your results.

If you're new to market research, we typically suggest starting smaller because you'll be surprised how quickly you get results and even if you start with 50 and at the end decide you want more people, you can always expand your sample size to add new people to your same poll without having to rebuild it.
