Which title is more appealing for a platform game? Plankton has stolen the Krabby Patty recipe and locked up all of SpongeBob's friends in Bikini Bottom!
Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 26 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
B | 46% 23 votes | 52% 26 votes +3 |
A | 36% 18 votes | 48% 24 votes +6 |
C | 18% 9 votes | Eliminated 9 votes reassigned |

Important to make it clear SpongeBob is involved, and I like A the best.
I think option A is fun and relevant, I think option B is a great play on words but not as exciting as A. C seems dull.
Adding the word "epic" makes it seem very cool - something different and worth experiencing.
first one sounds exciting! Like an episode title. Second one sounds video gameish. Third one does not inspire excitement
For C, you don't even realize it's about Spongebob. A is very straightforward
I don't like option B, seems to long.
A sounds the most exciting. C is the worst as it doesnt specify SpongeBob, just sponge.
I think A does the best job of describing what the game is about and it also makes it sound more exciting because of the term epic. C also uses terms well but does not sound as interesting.
Epic rescue.... my nephew would love that! C and be wernt too bad either.
I like option A the best. I think the title sounds very interesting.
I THINK A SOUNDS THE BEST
The title makes SpongeBob the hero even before playing the game.
I chose A first because the title is clear and descriptive.
I like A best, because Epic Rescue sounds exciting and is feels rioght for the show. C is OK - sort of a shorter version of A. B is less motivating.
option A sounds more adventurous than the rest, suggesting that the episode airing will probably the most action packed along with couple twist to keep the viewers entertained until the last second of the episode.the word "epic" is very eye catching as well. i think most of us are always in search of the next thrill or what brings joy, so seeing the word epic would intrigued viewers to tune in.
Epic Rescue sounds like what it is rescue all the people in Bikini Bottom and Plankton Pursuit means you will be after Plankton which you are and to the Rescue sounds plain
i like the to the rescue part
If they deal with Spongebob it is all good.

As a fan I think those are the best in that order
The first one is the funniest and most on brand
B is the clear choice. Short but Detailed name really makes a good sounding title.
"Pursuit" evokes excitement and is the best, and "epic" is one of my favorite adjective. "Rescue" is a little bit cliched and boring.
Sounds the most fun and accurate
I think that it seems more appropriate to have it called "Plankton Pursuit" since that is what you are working toward. Sponge to the rescue doesn't sound that great and doesn't make sense without SPONGEBOB: in front of it.
I like how option B gives you a little more detail into the adventure you would be taking part of. SpongeBob's Epic Rescue is a great as well but since the game has to do with Plankton I would use option B. I did not like option C at all and would not use it. Even SpongeBob: Sponge to the Rescue would have worked better.
Options (C) has no indication of SpongeBob the character, and (B) uses nice alliteration and mentions two characters.
I like the alliteration of "Plankton Pursuit," and it sounds the most intriguing and descriptive
Alliteration in video game titles is a common and popular trope. Hence the choice B.
it's very catchy and i can visualize the game by the title
B makes it clear that it's a SpongeBob game, and has a clever alliterative subtitle.
B would be my first choice because it accurately describes what the game is about plot wise in a few words while A does this to a degree its not quite the same as B and C is mediocre at best.
I like B and A because they state SpongeBob, otherwise, I would have no idea.
2 and 3 (A and C, respectively) are both kind of derivative. 1 (B) has the sound and feel of a spongebob game. It's an easy choice, and probably the best one too
Option B is first because everyone loves plankton and with him in the title everyone will want to see it. Then C is last because its a boring title and you need SpongeBobs name in the title to get all the fans to be interested.
I like the play on words
The first two are my main choices and are close. I chose "Plankton Pursuit" because it sounds like it is the most action packed. The last option is my least favorite because "Sponge" is confusing.
B has a catchy title with repeating letters. C doesn't include SpongeBob in the title
Plankton Pursuit is a fun and whimsical title. C doesn't mention Bob, so I think of a kitchen sponge and not sponge bob.
Option B is perfect. Plankton Pursuit is exactly what you are doing. And it is very revealing in just three words the goal of the game. Option A is also a good choice but makes me think SpongeBob will be rescuing others instead of retrieving the stolen recipe. Option C doesn't stand out as a SpongeBob game. It makes me think that just a sponge is saving person/places/things.
I don't like C because it just says "Sponge", not "Spongebob". I think Plankton Pursuit does a better job at describing the game, since I assume there are multiple games in the Spongebob franchise, whereas Epic Rescue sounds a lot vaguer.
The more names of the characters in the title, the more recognizable it is
9 Responses to Option C
I went with these names in this order because they made sense to me.
C sounds exciting!
Sponge to the Rescue sounds better I think. It's more attractive overall to me.
The first choice just sounds like something I would want to know about in a heart beat.
Sponge to the rescue immediately caught my attention and my daughters attention. The title encapsulates the plot line of the game. It just fits in with the SpongeBob world and it is easily identified as a SquarePants game.
IMy choice is "C" because I feel that it is simple and to the point. The "A" is okay, but as refined and "B" is kind of out there with it's meaning - in my opinion.
My first choice is expected and straight to the point. My second choice is more detailed on the issue at hand by naming the two.
The title is broad enough to allow the game to take alternate paths, if needed. So it isn't locked down to a specific plot.
"Sponge to the Rescue" just had the most light-hearted feeling to it that seemed to make it the most appropriate.
