Q: How much would you pay for this course?

Star Rating

I am a university lecturer, and clinician with 10 years experience. I am designing an online course targeted towards health professionals (doctors, nurses, chiropractors, nutritionists, dieticians, osteopaths, naturopaths etc). This content is not currently covered in great detail within university courses or in post-graduate courses, so I am filling a gap in the market. I have done previous webinars on this topic and have had good interest and feedback. This online course will cover 5 topics within a speciality of functional medicine. I have spent hundreds of hours researching and developing this course over many years. The content will be of comparable to what students would receive in an undergraduate degree subject. Each topic will be professionally presented (by me), recorded by a videographer and include high quality lecture material / infographics and peer reviewed e-book. I will have recorded interviews with other health professionals and case studies available as part of each topic. The attendees of the course will learn information about how to better assess and treat their clients. They will get better results and feel more confident in an area which is currently lacking during their university training.

I would learn from a lecturer anytime.

I wouldn't pay much for this because it seems very average. Personally as a prior nursing student, we learn a lot about client treatment and assessment so I can't see many people needing this, it feels fairly pointless.

I am not sure how much a standard package of this kind of class would cost so based on that I'm not sure the exact dollar amount. However I would pay above average for this type of information.

I would not pay for it. It just doesn't apply to me and I don't thin it would be worth any cost. Sorry.

I would pay about 30-60 dollars.

I would not pay anything for this course. I don't see myself interested in the topics described.

I would pay between $500-$1500 for this course.

Should reorder the content. Say what the course contains first. Then justification later. Push the differences and tools/skills learned.

There is a lot of writing there that explains absolutely nothing about the class. Your only clue is "five topics of functional medicine". I do not know what that means.

$200 This sounds like it cover a lot of missing gaps that regular courses do not.

This course seems like it will really make the job of a doctor easier and will give the ability to provide more accurate information to the patients.

The course cost should be commensurate with other classes that are delivered in this manner. I do not see any reason to have this cost inflated.

Maybe $100 at most. Should have more specific information. Such as a breakdown/timeline of the course. What topics would be discussed, how long each topic is to be discussed and how long the overall course is to be.

For me, up to $199 USD depending on the length of the course.

It sounds like it would be very useful for someone in the alternative medicine field. I would say that with all that it covers, it is probably worth about $500 to take the full course.

If it was a course that I thought I needed, I would pay $80. Although this description isn't very specific in what people will learn from it.

i quess some people have to be taught these things, but i myself would not use this service

i think this would be interesting, i would pay maybe about $150 for this

I probably would pay around $500 for this course. However, I am really not sure about the effectiveness of an online course. Face to face classes tend to have more interaction so this lecturer would really need to be good with tailoring experience to the students. Other than that, I am not sure if they stand out but they do seem competent.

$60 a lesson

I would pay the equivalent of what my university charges for an undergraduate course. I was initially skeptical, but the information regarding the hundreds of hours of research swayed me to believe that it is a credible course to take.

I think if it was pay by subject it would be better. The individual can get exactly what they are looking for without wasting time. If that was done, depending on the length of each course I would pay up to $100 per topic, especially if it is giving quality information that is not covered in regular course work. If not I would pay $500 for the total course

I would probably spend around $75 for such a service.

I would pay 50-75% of the average college class at this school. At the local college I attended a regular class costs around 350.00 in that case I would pay around 250.00 for a course such as this one just because they stated that things taught in this course helped later on with your career and were often not taught in a regular medical class.

I imagine that 50 dollars would be a reasonable price to pay plus any additional course requirements, up to an additional 20 dollars for fees.

I'd pay $300. This might save a malpractice lawsuit, or at least make better relationships with my patients.

I would pay $500 for a class like this if it could be considered continuing education. It seems like it would be unique information and useful to the target audience.

75.00, up to maybe 175.00 depending on what other information I can get about it It's fairly vague in the description, so at the low end, I'd pay about 75, but higher if I found out it was more valuable.

It looks really involved, I would say around 200 dollars based on the information present.

It would depend how long the course lasts, I would think around 100 dollars is how much I would pay based on the very preliminary information given.

I would need to know how many classes and how long each one would last. If it were maybe an hour or two and included the e-book I would spend between 75 to 100 dollars for each class.

I think the class offers something that is useful, relevant and would make people better employees. However, with any lack of added benefit to job recognition, degree status, etc, it wouldn't be something I would invest a ton of money into. The return wouldn't be as great as say taking classes for a certificate or masters degree, etc. I think the class seems useful and beneficial, but I don't think people would spend top dollar to take it.

I will try out a free trial. Then if it is worth my while, then I will probably pay $8-$15 per session.

Not sure what more people in these medical fields need that they didn't get in school. As a nurse I would want to know what the 5 topics are.

I wouldn't really be involved with this.

There is not really any detailed description of content. If you are presenting a course to professionals at a undergrad level, then you better tell them exactly what to expect from the course.

I would be willing to pay up to $300 for this course. I feel that it would be interesting, informative, and convenient to participate in. I would, however, first be interesting in more information about the specific topics included in the course of study.

would want more info and to read reviews of past ayyrendees, but may be willing to pay $100 or so

I would not pay for it because I do not need to learn about these skills.

I would pay no more than $75.00 for this course. From this description there are a lot of words, but would like more examples or bullet points of what is actually covered with quantified results, "better results" and "feel more confident" are a bit subjective. While the background of the instructor is very clear, I am left with knowing more about the teacher than the course I am paying for.

I currently don't have a need to take this course but it sounds like an amazing one to take if it would benefit you to be able to talk to patients more and have a better understanding of their clients

There is really no detail about what is going to be discussed, just how.

I do not know how much courses usually go for but I am going to estimate a minimum of $100. The course is very vague however still though or I would have given it a higher rating.

it is good and interesting

I would pay anywhere from $700 to $1000 dollars. It looks like an interesting course and one that offer a lot of benefit! Overall I would give it the 5 stars!

I would pay $99 for the online version of course on the five topics. I feel that the presentation materials will speak to the quality of the product. So if there are good reviews and results can be seen for the practitioners, it would be well worth its money and more. If it is an actual course to meet up with, I would pay at least double that and think it would be a great way to understand the material better and interact more. Think it might be a great way to get different healthcare professionals involved with functional medicine more.

I would pay 70 dollars on the course, it looks interesting . I would find it useful to know about this Information .

This does look like an interesting thing and I would be interested in this if only the topic of study was included, which is why I gave it a 3 star. Not very impressed by a vague and general description of a course with no topic details.

If I were a doctor I think that 299 would be a good price to pay. It would depend on the number of hours though. Maybe 299 for 3 hours, and price up from there?

The lecturer/clinician establishes his bona fides and seems to have thought of everything regarding this online course, including guest lecturers and supplemental materials. If I were a health care professional and knew the exact nature of the course, I might be very tempted to enroll!

Survey Analysis

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

  • Assess how important stacking capability is relative to other functional benefits in various contexts such as home storage versus travel convenience.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
