I like this for the main product pic, "B" would be a good inside pic to show what is in the box.

A

I like how this is laid out, but I think along the sides you should list all of the things it includes like 4 glasses. show a pic of one pair of glasses with the number given of each item

A

I LIKE THE VISUAL WITH THE "TREASURE" PILED.

A

I chose A because the purpose of the image i believe is to showcase the treasure box and not what is inside it so basically it would be more realistic to look at image A where all the toys and random stuff are scattered just right in front of the box compared to B where it seems like its individually showcasing the toys which is misleading because the purpose is to market the box and not the toys.

A

The pile of toys makes it look as though there are more and it's more fun to potentially dig though.

A

The mixture of items in the image allows you to see them while still providing some mystery. The spread out image doesn't leave anything to the imagination.

B

I like that you can see the contents clearly

B

I like everything spread out so I can see what it is so I picked B

B

You can see the items better.

B

The organized pic is better suited than the messy one

B

I really like seeing all the stuff out like this and plus it fills out the image better.

B

I can see what's in the box more clearly in B.

B

I like seeing each item spread out; it makes the amount seem larger.

B

This image gives a better picture of what is included in the treasure box. Plus, I also like the neat layout, it's more appealing.

B

It gives a much better view of all the different kinds of things that are included

B

I like seeing what your getting. Other image too cluttered

B

I chose B because it looks as though you get a lot more stuff compared to the other one.

B

I like the organization and ease of understanding exactly what is going on here as a result

B

Laid out to see all the items.

B

B better showcases all the parts.

B

I like the product display at that style

B

I like being able to see the full contents if the box

B

I like B because it's easier to see what you're getting and that's important to a lot of people. A just kind of looks like a pile of random stuff.

B

This option has everything that it comes with laid out clearly.

B

I like seeing it all laid out likethat

B

i can see how looks like every items .

B

With all of the pieces laid out, it is much easier to get an good idea of what is included in the treasure box.

B

You can actually what and how much you are getting

B

Seeing the items organized helps me see exactly what is included in the box

B

This is kind of an obvious one. It looks much nicer to see all the pieces laid out so you can see what is included. A just looks like a pile of junk.

B

No question here. Knowing what's in the box and whether it's worth it is key and this image shows that. "A" was just sloppy

B

I like that I can see exactly what is coming in the box. I like that it is organized and tidy.

B

I can see both the box and the individual pieces better.

B

I always like to see more of what I am considering buying.

B

You can clearly see all the toys included.

B

I like how it's spread out, and that you can see everything that's in it. It gives a much better visual, and a little bit of assurance, at least on my end.

B

I choose B because it is clear to see each item is actually included in the treasure box and just as important is how many of each. I can imagine buying this for a young kids birthday party as a prize for a treasure hunt. If there were more than one of a particular item there would be less fighting to get the best prize.

B

this gives a much better view of what is actually in the box

B

I like the way the toys are displayed. It's easier to see what all is in the box and how much of each.

B

I like this one more

B

B shows the contents more clearly.

B

It gives a clearer representation of what you're getting

B

I strongly prefer "B", it has a better image of all the items, it is a lot more organized and I can see what is in the package a lot better. I like the fact that it looks more professional too, like someone took the time to arrange the items for display.

B

I like this a lot better because one can see what they can expect in the product line

B

Definitely like choice B more because I can see exactly what is going to be in treasure box. I wouldn't want to buy it not knowing exactly what will come with it.

B

I like it being neat and tidy. It allows you to see exactly what you are getting.

B

This one is much better. It's nice to see all the aspects without them being piled on top of eachother

B

The other option gives me anxiety. The chosen one looks so neat and in order. I would order that one over the other one.

B

On Option B it's easy to see what all the different toys are.

B

The items are displayed in a much more organized fashion so you can actually see exactly what types of items are in the treasure box, how many of each, etc.

Survey Analysis

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

  • Assess how important stacking capability is relative to other functional benefits in various contexts such as home storage versus travel convenience.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
