I like seeing the varitey bette than the package

A

I like choice A better. It shows more detail of all the products offered, especially the patterns of the design.

A

A clearly shows the patterns on the burp cloths and draws me in more than B

A

I like this one because I can see all the patterns and it's laid out nicely for the most part.

A

IT shows what is inside and I wouldn't even have 5 pack on there anywhere. It's pointless as people can count how many there are

A

You can see more of the product

A

This one better shows each pattern and helps me visualize all of the cloths.

A

I prefer A over B because I can fully see all of the designs. I would leave the 5-pack circle because it makes it 100% clear that 5 cloths are included in the package.

A

I prefer A because B seems misleading. The tote on B seems to have another cloth inside which would be more than 5 so it seems like you are getting more than you are. I would keep the circle on A but make it smaller. I like the emphasis on the number you will receive.

A

I like the design that has a deer and trees in it. It's a cute cloth for any gender.

A

i feel it's a bit more variety with this design. I would leave the 5 pack so consumers know how many are in the package

A

The 5-pack circle is fine - just as long as it partially obscures the product because it looks like it's associated. Otherwise it seems separate and less applicable. Overall, this product layout is preferred.

A

I would select a 3rd option which will show all 5 different cloths like option A but showing a packing with the baby's picture.

A

i like how A shows more

A

I only like that you can see more of the pattern in option A. But it does help to know what the package looks like in option b.

A

Seeing the products spread out is more easy on the eyes than seeing the packaged product

A

A lets you see the patterns of each burp cloth more clearly.

A

I prefer choice A because it gives me a better idea as to what the product looks like.

A

I prefer the fuller view of the product on this, I don't really need to know the packaging if it takes up space for displaying the actual design I am buying.

A

I like how you can see all of the designs better. Also, the phrase "baby burp" with that picture of the baby is literally making me want to vomit myself.

A

I like it without the packaging showing so you can see the designs of the products better.

A

I like this because it focuses on the designs and it is easier to decide if I like them and more appealing to look at overall. The packaging is a distraction (in my opinion).

A

I like being able to clearly see what I'm buying

A

Choice B's image seems lacking; it has a lot of empty place. I'm not a huge fan of the baby/mommy image, either. It seems kind of cliche and not desirable. Choice A's image is more spread out, and it gives a full view of all five cloths in the pack. I'd leave the circle on the package; it's a helpful indicator.

A

I prefer A due to the its orientation being correct versus option B (upside-down). Also, I prefer seeing the cloths spread out versus bunched together. I would leave the 5-pack circle on, as it helps the consumer understand exactly what they're buying and its potential value.

A

I like this image better than the other.

A

Closer picture of the designs accentuates the softness of the material. The packaging is just a distraction. I like the 5-pack sticker because it makes it clear what you are getting, and makes it sound like a deal.

A

I think the cloth designs stand out more in this one and I would keep the 5-Pack circle because I would want to know what kind of a deal I was getting by comparing the price to the amount of cloths.

A

I like seeing all the designs instead of the packaging

B

I like B because even though you can't see the whole product, you can see what the product is by the packaging.

B

Shows designs as well as how it is initially packaged, thereby giving more information about the product

B

More descriptive. Leave the circle to show quantity.

B

i like that it shows the bag it come in

B

I like that you can see all of them and the package

B

I like that in the picture it says exactly what it is in Option B. They are burp cloths but the other picture could look like blankets. I would leave the 5 pack circle. Again, I think the more info the better.

B

Choice B is better because it makes clear what the product actually is.

B

it's good to see the full package of the product

B

I feel l get a better idea of the whole product.

B

I love this because it shows exactly what you are getting and what the packaging product looks like. I love the designs of each burp clothes. I really like the color schemes and the designs as well.

B

Definitely leave the 5-pack circle. B looks a little better, I like seeing the packaging

B

I can still see the design but also know what the product is.

B

I like that the image shows the packaging that shows the contents

B

presenting the case with the product looks better to me and is very convenient.

B

I like that it shows the packaging, which seems to be high quality. I would leave the 5 pack circle, just to make it clear what you're getting, and it adds nice visual interest. The color of the circle matches the product very nicely also.

B

The packaging being shown in B is more attractive and appealing as I determine the design of which I like. The 5-pack circle is necessary to keep to show people that they get 5 cloths in a pack.

B

I would definitely leave the 5pack circle. Even though each picture shows them all it is always nice to have the clarity and assurance it is indeed a 5pack. I like the picture in Choice B because it shows the packaging while still showing all five patterns.

B

I like to see the packagaing, and yes, it is nice to know how many are in the package.

B

You can tell what the product is.

B

I like B because it comes with a cute bag to keep the cloths in.

B

Option B is packaged nicer and has a better overall appeal for consumer selection.

Survey Analysis

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

  • Assess how important stacking capability is relative to other functional benefits in various contexts such as home storage versus travel convenience.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
