I would click on A because it makes it most clear what it is. C just looks too messy as a product image and B is hard to read.

A
B
C

I prefer option A because it clearly marks what they product is versus option C with just a bunch of random items spread around.

A

C

Very good think and quality of the way.

I like the box it makes me feel like i'm getting good value for my money

A

I think option C - showing all of the items is really overwhelming. I do like the colorfulness of option A and I like the fact there is a child playing with it on the package. Option B is colorful too but I choose A as the top

A
C
B

I like A the best, because you can see how it's neatly packaged, and the box is very clear on what is inside. C is nice to see everything out, but I do like seeing the packaging in images too. I think B looks generic.

A
B
C

I like option A the best because the color and design of the logo on the product stand out to me the most and catches my eye.

A
B
C

Option A is the most attractive listing and would make me want to click on it. The packaging of the product looks high quality compared to option B which looks cheap. I dislike how in option C they display all of the contents at once; it looks messy and cluttered.

A
C
B

The package in A gives me a lot of information and some confidence in the quality of the product inside. C gives me good visuals of everything included but I tend to be more suspicious of a package with a lot of little things in it. B gives the least information on the package but the hamburger caught my eye and interest.

A
C
B

Would like to click on option A based on the image listing which is appealing, kids friendly, highly recommended

A
B
C

A has the biggest box and so I wonder what all is inside of it. B is just a bit smaller, and C already is showing me everything I would get.

A
B
C

I would click on the OPTION A listing. The image is beautiful and adorable. I find it appealing. My children would love it.

A
B
C

I would choice option A first because I love the storage container; it would be nice to reuse to keep the contents organized. I chose option B next because my daughter loves making food out of clay/play-doh. I chose option c last because all the little parts looked like a pain to store and like it would quickly become disorganized.

A
C

B looks weird and would probably stay away from that in my opinion as it doesn't really interest me much. A has a nice box that works well and C is fine but don't think I need to see everything out of the box

A
B
C

The best option has the words "modeling clay" clearly visible. The second choice has the words but harder to see them. The third choice id unclear that clay is the product so not preferred.

A
C
B

I like option "A" as an adult because it is provided with a self contained box. Option "C" seems to have a good selection. Option "B" does not have enough design excitement to motivate a purchase.

A
B
C

I like the versions still in the boxes that show the overall goal and experience, and I really don't like the version with everything shown individually, but I would like to see that image included with the listing in order to get a sense of everything included.

A

I like seeing it look nice and neat in a tub so I know it can be cleaned up.

A
B
C

I based it on the visual appeal

A
B
C

I chose A as my first option because it says exactly on the box what it is, modeling clay and there's 36 tubes. I chose B as number 2 because it says modeling clay, but has less options as A. C is the last choice because it doesn't say exactly what is it.

A

C

Has the best most vibrant and beautiful colors.

I like these better in the box. It looks too chaotic out of the box. I think that hamburger picture is the most appealing between all of the choices

I would choose C. I like that it has 36 different colors to choose from.

I want to see as much detail in the main image as possible. So, Option C lets me see how many cups, what color and what tools are included. Option A let me see the box, like I would see it on a shelf. Option B, did not have enough information in it and I would scroll past it.

C
A

Choice C was my ranked #1 because, along with 36 colors of clay there were accessories to work with. Choice A was ranked #2 for me because it did have 36 color choices. Choice B was ranked #3 for me due to the fact that there were only 24 colors to work with.

C

I liked choice C because it shows everything that is in this package. Choices A and B weren't as appealing since they showed nothing of what was included in the set.

C

I liked seeing everything displayed that came with the set. The worst one was a picture at a terrible angle - I couldn't even read the words.

C

I would click on Option C because of the way the product is presented to the buyer. All of the interior items are exposed. It is nice to be able to have a visual of all the riggings that would come with the purchase and it is intriguing to click on it.

C

I like the bright colors of option C, they really caught my eye. Option A looks bigger than option B, which is why I then prefer that.

C

All of the colors from choice c are really eye catching and it also looks like I'm getting a lot of stuff. the packaging in choice a is a nice color. Choice B looks a little outdated.

I like to see the actual product and option C does the best job of that. I like the design and colors of option A better than the packaging that option B comes in.

C

I like option C because it actually shows what is inside the packaging to give me a better idea of what I will be working with. Option A as a more durable looking box than option B.

I like seeing what is included with my purchase, so this would certainly be the first image I would click on.

Option C looks to have so many different things to do. I would click on it first to see the possibilities. Option B would be my next choice. It does seem limited but could be fun for a quick visit with my grandson. Option A is very clear in what is in the container and I would certainly look at that option if I wanted an add-on for my first choice.

I would click on C first because I think that it is the most attractive option. I think it has the best layout and the best color scheme. I think A is close behind it for the same reasons. I really didn’t like B though, probably wouldn’t click on that.

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
