The PickFu AI chatbot is an intelligent, context-aware research assistant that lives in the sidebar of your dashboard, project pages, survey builder, and survey results pages. It understands what page you're on and helps you analyze results, plan tests, and explore your team's activity in plain language.
Where to find it
Look for the PickFu AI tab in the sidebar on your dashboard, project pages, the survey builder, and your survey results pages. Click it to open a chat window where you can type a question.
What it can help with
The chatbot adapts to the page you're on:
Analyze results – "What did respondents like most about Option A?" or "Which demographic preferred the green packaging?"
Build better tests – get suggestions for writing clear questions, choosing the right survey type, and picking effective audience targeting
Understand team activity – ask about recent surveys from your dashboard or project pages
Learn best practices – ask anything about PickFu surveys and research methods
Responses stream in real-time, the chatbot remembers your conversation context within a session, and responses often include links to relevant help articles. Click the pen-and-paper icon at the top of the sidebar to start a fresh conversation.
Give helpful responses a thumbs-up and unhelpful ones a thumbs-down. Your feedback directly informs how we improve PickFu AI.
Tips for working with the chatbot
These habits get you better, faster answers from the chatbot.
Be specific
Vague prompts get vague answers. Instead of "tell me about my results," try "what were the top three reasons respondents preferred Option B over Option A?" The more focused your question, the more usable the answer.
Lean on the page context
The chatbot already knows which survey you're looking at and what's on the page. You don't need to paste in your question or describe the options — just ask about them directly. "Why did Option C lose?" works fine.
Use follow-up questions
The chatbot remembers your conversation. After an initial question, ask follow-ups like "drill into that for the 25–34 age group" or "summarize the negative comments." You don't need to re-state context for each question.
Break complex questions into pieces
If you have several things to ask, ask them one at a time rather than stringing them together. You'll get clearer, more useful answers and can adjust direction as you go.
Ask for actionable output
The chatbot is at its best when you ask it to recommend, plan, or compare — not just summarize. Try "suggest a follow-up survey to run," "compare what respondents liked about Option A vs. Option B," or "what should I change before I retest?"
Verify before you act
The chatbot is a research assistant, not a decision-maker. Spot-check important claims against the underlying responses, especially before making a launch decision. If something feels off, ask the chatbot to show you the specific responses it based an answer on.
Example prompts to try
What elements of Option C did respondents dislike most?
What were the three most recent surveys my team published?
How should I phrase my question for a packaging design comparison test?
What survey should I run next based on this feedback?
Summarize the comments from female respondents aged 35–44.

Does the chatbot remember past conversations?
The chatbot remembers context within an active conversation. Starting a new conversation (via the pen-and-paper icon) clears that context.
What data does the chatbot use?
The chatbot uses the data on the page you're currently viewing — your survey content, options, responses, and demographic details. It also references PickFu's help center to answer your questions and provide additional information.
