In the survey builder, upload images by clicking the upload icon or dragging and dropping files into any option slot. PickFu accepts most common image formats up to 10 MB per file.
Ways to add images
There are several ways to get images into your poll:
Upload from your device — Click the upload icon in any option slot, or drag and drop an image file directly. PickFu displays a preview once the upload is complete.
Import from an Amazon ASIN — If you're testing Amazon product images, enter the ASIN to automatically pull in the listing's image. This works for your own products or competitors'.
Test full image stacks — If you want to test a main image plus supporting images together (e.g., a full product listing gallery), use Image Sets instead of individual images. See How to test image sets with PickFu for a full walkthrough.
Image specs at a glance
File size: 10 MB maximum per image.
Dimensions: At least 500 pixels wide is recommended. Larger images are resized to 500 pixels wide for display, and respondents can click to view a larger version.
Aspect ratios: If you're comparing two or more images, use similar aspect ratios so the options look balanced and respondents can focus on the content rather than the framing.
Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, PDF, and many more. For the complete format list and per-poll-type image requirements, see What are the image requirements for PickFu polls?
Step by step
Start a new poll from your dashboard.
Choose your poll type — Head-to-Head or Ranked for comparisons, Open-Ended or Star Rating for feedback on a single image.
Upload your image — Click the upload icon or drag and drop your file into the option slot.
Add more options if needed — click "+ Add option" for up to 8 options per poll.
Preview and launch — Check that your images display correctly, then pay and launch.
Tips for better image tests
Use similar aspect ratios and image quality across options. If one image is crisp and another is blurry, respondents may react to quality rather than content.
Test one variable at a time. Say you're comparing two packaging designs – keep the product name, colors, and overall layout the same, and change only the element you want to test. This way, you'll know exactly what drove respondents' preferences. If you're testing entirely different creative directions, however, you can ignore this tip!
Use Image Sets for full product galleries. If you need to test a main image alongside supporting images (lifestyle shots, infographics, etc.), use the Image Sets option type rather than uploading a single image.

FAQs
What if my images are different sizes?
PickFu resizes images to 500 pixels wide for display. To keep things fair, try to match aspect ratios across options so all images appear at roughly the same height and width.
Can I test more than 8 images?
Each poll supports up to 8 options. If you have more variations to test, run multiple polls and take the top performers from each into a tiebreaker round.
Can I test a full set of product images instead of just one?
Yes — use Image Sets to test a main image plus up to eight supporting images as a single option. See How to test image sets with PickFu.
