What types of content can I test with PickFu?

An overview of all the content types you can test in PickFu polls: text, images, Image Sets, mockups, videos, audio, and URLs.

Updated over a week ago

PickFu supports testing text, images, Image Sets, videos, audio, URLs/links, and Amazon mockups. All options in a single poll question should be the same content type.

Text

Type directly into each option field. The maximum length is 5,000 characters per option, and 1,000 characters per option are included in the base price of a poll (additional characters are prorated). HTML and rich text formatting aren't accepted.

Text options are great for testing taglines, product descriptions, ad copy, naming options, or any written content. If you need to test a specific font or text style, use an image instead.

Images

Upload images or animated GIFs by clicking the camera icon in the option field or by dragging and dropping the file directly. Your image will start uploading right away.

PickFu accepts JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and many other formats, with a maximum file size of 10 MB. We recommend a minimum width of 500 px for clear display. Respondents can click to zoom in on images during the poll.

For detailed specs by poll type, see What are the image requirements for PickFu polls?

Image Sets

Image Sets let you upload 2–9 images per option to test a group of images together. Respondents can swipe or navigate through all images in each option, making it ideal for testing Amazon listing image stacks, A+ Content layouts, or product photo series.

You can also enter an Amazon ASIN to automatically pull the product's live images into an Image Set. This is useful for competitive testing or importing your own listing's images without uploading them manually.

Image Sets are available on most poll types (except Click Tests). For more, see How do I test sets of images using collages?

Mockups

Mockups let you test how a product looks in a realistic Amazon context without using live listings. There are two mockup types:

  • SERP mockup: Simulates an Amazon search results view, showing your product image alongside a title, price, star rating, and number of ratings.

  • Listing mockup: Simulates an Amazon product detail page.

You can customize the product title, price, star rating, number of ratings, and product image. You can also enter an ASIN to auto-populate the mockup fields from live product data.

Mockups are great for testing how your listing competes visually before going live, or for running competitive analysis against other products in your category.

Videos and audio

Upload video or audio files directly as poll options. Video polls include an additional cost because respondents need more time to watch and evaluate the content.

Video options work well for testing ad creative, product demos, explainer videos, and trailer concepts. Audio is useful for testing voiceovers, jingles, or podcast intros.

URLs/links

Paste a URL into the option field to send respondents to an external page. The URL becomes a clickable link that opens in a new tab. If you add other text alongside the URL, the link won't be clickable — keep the option field URL-only for it to work.

URL options are good for testing live landing pages, web designs, product pages, or any content that's best experienced in its real context.

FAQs

Can I mix content types in one poll?

No. All options within a single poll question must be the same content type. If you're building a survey with multiple questions, each question can use a different content type.

What's the max file size for uploads?

Images have a 10 MB maximum file size. For video and audio limits, check the upload interface in the survey builder for current specifications.

Can I test PDFs?

Not directly. Convert your PDF pages to images first (PNG or JPG), then upload them as image options or as an Image Set.
