Follow-ups let you reach a specific respondent directly to ask for clarification or more detail on their answer. Each follow-up costs the same as your survey's per-response price and requires prepaid credit.

On your results page, find the written response you want to follow up on. Click the ⋯ (more options) icon on the response card, then select Ask follow-up question.

Type your follow-up question in the dialog that appears, then click Send follow-up question. The respondent will receive your question and has two days to reply.

If you use AI assistants like Claude or Cursor with the PickFu MCP, you can send follow-up questions to individual respondents directly from your AI tool — no need to return to the PickFu dashboard.

Once your poll completes, ask your AI assistant something like: "Send a follow-up to the respondent who mentioned price concerns and ask what price point would feel fair." The MCP will handle sending the question and can retrieve the respondent's reply when it arrives.

This is especially useful when working through results programmatically or when you want to probe specific responses as part of a longer AI-assisted research session. The same cost and two-day reply window applies.
