The PickFu Slack app is in Beta. Behavior may change based on feedback.
The PickFu Slack app puts the same agent that powers Ask PickFu — the chat on the /home dashboard and the in-app sidebar — into your Slack workspace. Mention @PickFu in a channel or DM the app to create polls, check results, and iterate on findings, then get delivery-time updates back in Slack as respondents come in.

Who it’s for

The Slack app is for teams who want to run consumer research where their conversations already happen. Reach for it when:
  • You want to spin up a poll from a Slack thread without switching to the web app.
  • You want the whole team to see results as they land, without sharing a login.
  • You already use Ask PickFu in the app and want the same conversation continuity in Slack.
It’s the same agent under the hood as Ask PickFu, now channel- and workspace-scoped. Everyone in your Slack workspace can talk to it once an admin installs it.

How it works

Installs are per Slack workspace. An owner or admin of the PickFu account installs the app once for the team, and everyone in that Slack workspace can then use it. Polls, file uploads, and delayed result deliveries are all scoped to the Slack workspace that installed the app.

Install the Slack app

1

Open Integrations settings

In PickFu, go to Settings > Integrations.
2

Install the Slack app

Find the Slack card (labeled Beta) and click Install. This opens the PickFu install URL at phoenix.pickfu.com/slack/install, which starts Slack’s OAuth flow.
3

Authorize in Slack

Choose the Slack workspace you want to install into and approve the requested scopes. Slack redirects you to a PickFu confirmation page that reads PickFu is connected to Slack, with an Open Slack button that jumps you back to the workspace. If the install fails, the same page shows a Try installation again button.
4

Invite the app to a channel (optional)

Add @PickFu to any channel where you want the team to be able to invoke it, or DM the app directly.
You only need to do this once per Slack workspace. Reinstalling into the same workspace reactivates the existing install.
Organization-wide Slack installations aren’t supported. Install PickFu into an individual workspace.

Use the Slack app

Once the app is installed, anyone in the Slack workspace can talk to the PickFu agent:
  • In a channel — mention @PickFu with your request. For example: @PickFu run a poll comparing these two headlines: "Ship faster with X" and "Ship less, ship better".
  • In a DM — message the PickFu app directly for private conversations.

Sign in the first time you talk to the bot

The first time you mention @PickFu or DM the app, PickFu sends you a Slack DM with a Sign in to PickFu button that links your PickFu account to your Slack identity. The channel thread only shows a short breadcrumb pointing at that DM. The sign-in link is private to you, so don’t share it. If you leave the DM sitting for a while and mention the bot again, PickFu replaces the earlier prompt with a fresh sign-in DM in place rather than stacking a new one, so you always click the most recent link. The agent can do everything Ask PickFu does in the web app:
  • Draft, publish, and stop polls.
  • Attach images from a Slack upload as poll options.
  • Check live results and read AI summaries as responses come in.
  • Iterate on wording, options, or targeting based on what the panel says.
Because the agent is workspace-scoped, delayed messages — like a poll result notification that fires after respondents finish — are delivered back to the same Slack workspace that started the conversation.

Cross-surface continuity

The Slack app, the /home dashboard chat, and the in-app sidebar all run the same agent against the same PickFu account. You can start a poll from Slack, refine it from the dashboard chat, and pull results from the sidebar — the agent understands them as one workflow.

Uninstall

To remove the PickFu app from your Slack workspace, use Slack’s built-in flow: open Apps in Slack, find PickFu, and choose Uninstall. PickFu marks the install as removed and stops delivering messages to that workspace. Reinstall from Settings > Integrations at any time.
