just a card in the mail
I gave a card that was very cheap.
Not getting a mothers day gift or even a card from my husband and kids because they forgot.
Makeup for your mom if you are a guy.
My friend gave his mother a pound of smoked salmon.
One of my friends received a floor cleaning machine from her husband for Mother's Day. She wasn't too thrilled about that.
I took my mom on a trip somewhere. She enjoyed that a lot more than me just buying something and giving it to her
i have seen people just give cash, or nothing at all
Getting a gift card to Walmart would be the most generic gift given that I have heard of. It shows little thought and though useful, I feel it's too easy and you don't have to think about someone to do that even.
Not giving my mom anything. I don't think I've ever done this. But if I did, I'd feel like the worst person ever.
Nothing at all, I would imagine. Or maybe hatred, itself
I received a pair of socks, it was just a terrible gift.
MY SO usually gets me things that HE wants for himself. I got a radar detector one year from him. I drive a Prius :D
I would think something like cash, it doesn't have any personal attachment to it, however many will find it ok
NOT GETTING ANYTHING
The worst Mother's Day gift I have ever received were some cheap jewelry that were not my style at all.
I tried to make a mint chocolate cake from scratch, even though I'd never made a scratch cake before. It was disgusting.
Someone I know got a vacuum cleaner, which was kind of demeaning
I think the worst, while thoughtful, was for my daughter to do my nails and toes. I just wanted to relax and that was not possible.
When my son was a baby, about 15 months old, he insisted he had to give me a toilet paper roll. As in the empty cardboard roll. My husband did not think he needed to get anything else because he thought it was funny.
Worst mother's day gift I've ever gave was just a card, my mom does a lot for me and just giving a card was disrespectful.
The worst mother's day gift I've heard of was a pottery ashtray for my non-smoking mother.
A hot pad, mom has enough of those and she doesn't want any more. She will tell you she loves it but she really doesn't, it's going to end up at goodwill eventually anyways.
Worst was a large number of flowers that I am allergic to
The worst Mother's Day gift I've heard of is something 'domestic', such as a vacuum. Even if your mother needs a new vacuum, I feel like the day should be celebrated by honoring her specifically, and not celebrated by giving her a cleaning tool.
The worst Mother's Day gift I heard of was from somebody who forgot about it and re-gifted something they had around the house last minute in a panic.
I have heard of Botox coupons being given out, or other gag type gifts that are rather inappropriate for a mother.
A whole day of quiet and relaxation
I heard someone give their mother a mop for Mother's Day.
flowers and a card
There are no bad Mothers day presents. That is just how I feel
Flowers that were delivered and died before they got to my mother.
A vaccuum cleaner
THE WORST I HEARD OF WAS BEING FORGOTTEN COMPLETELY ON MOTHER'S DAY BY YOUR CHILD
I think a hug. It is intimate but just way too an after thought or lacking effort.
I gave my mom a place rug to put beside her bed,bad gift !!
The worst Mother's Day Gift I have given was a case of Bud Light. I had no clue what to get my mom and didn't just want to give her flowers so I decorated a box of Bud Light beer and then slapped a card on it. She did not find it funny.
I gave socks one year because I was mad at her that week
a kitchen appliance
giving the mother a new vacuum cleaner
I think the worst mother's day gift I ever heard of was a friend of mine who got a set of tools from her husband. She was not happy!
My friend gave his mother a car for mother's day but it was a bad gift because she was very old and the car had a powerful engine she was not able to handle properly.
The worst Mother's Day gift to get is A Vaccuum Cleaner. I would rather someone pay for a maid so that I do not have to clean. I would always like something personal. I prefer a gift certificate to get my nails done or to get a massage, or flowers planted in my yard.
A fathers day card.
I'm color-blind for a few colors, so sometimes I think a color is pretty when it is not. One year I bought my wife a pair of khaki shorts and a blouse I thought was a pretty shade of yellow. According to my wife, the top was a chartreuse green that a road worker would wear to keep from getting hit by a car. Needless to say, she took it back abd exchanged for a suitable color.
A vacuum cleaner
a toaster
I think coupons are terrible. They are cheap and an excuse for a present when you don't really want to give one.
Chocolate covered pickles - like, why?
The worst gift I gave was just money. It is a lazy gift that requires no thought
