its kind of annoying
I don't like any type of email after the fact, it would have to be a very good offer to get me interested
I really dislike automated emails. I tend to not read them even if they are important.
As long as I could let it go to spam, I would be okay with it. I get plenty of emails but I guess I could check once in a while to see if there's anything interesting.
i delete them and never even read it usually its just spam
As long as they inform me that they will send me an email, and what that email to contain, I don't care. If an email sounds formal or it has a lot of mistakes it tells me it's automated. Also if it has a lot of advertisements
They usually have generic titles/subjects. I don't usually read these e-mails to be honest so they don't affect me.
I GET ANNOYED SOMETIMES AND NOT OTHERS. I PREFER THEM ONLY WHEN I ORDER SOMETHING OR THERE IS A SALE OR SOMETHING. I ASSUME ALL EMAILS FROM COMPANIES ARE AUTOMATED.
I like the email after signing up because it makes me feel like a valued customer. The generic email is what alerts me to the fact that it is automated.
I really hate them. These kind of emails are worthless spam with no useful content. The tone and content of the email gives it away that it's just a form spam email.
I dislike spam. I particularly dislike emails that try to pretend they're something they aren't. I don't believe a CEO is sending an email to me and only me, and I feel lied to when an automated email pretends it's a personal message.
I don't want them. I get too many emails as it is. Only a notification in case there is a problem not more marketing stuff.
the email is fine - though it does depend on the company. the automation is obvious in that it is non personal
I am okay with it. You can not reply to the email itself but usually has a link within the message.
Automated emails are never good to receive. They always feel like spam and an annoyance. The clue that they're automated is the speed and time that they arrive and how general they feel.
I do not like receiving automated emails from apps i think they should ask first. I am alerted by the email notification.
The fact that the CEO is sending it directly to customers, it is unlikely they have time to hand write every email.
I would like to get emails from the CEO only
It irritates me to get automated emails, except for a confirmation. I can tell when an email is automated because of the format used. After the initial confirmation of sign-up, I don't want to be enrolled in getting more automated emails.
The language used or the email source often tips me to automation.
I like emails that come from a CEO. It shows thoughtfulness and true appreciation for the customer. However, an email that is too cookie cutter and generic is pointless.
Honestly, I do not like automated emails and often they do not opened; however, I think there is an opportunity to catch someone's attention as well as make the customer feel appreciated. It is easy for me to spot when they are basic/generic, the subject line is not catchy, and/or when the email goes straight to the junk folder. Despite this, receiving an email from the CEO or support team would make me feel appreciated as if my business was valued. I think the email should have a unique format whether it is the design, the text, and the message. The more personal, the more connected I would feel. Go beyond just thanking the customer for signing up. Have the CEO write a few personal messages that could be sent so there is some variety. Use the first name only and offer a information where the customer can give feedback and/or info where they can get more support if needed.
I'm not a fan of automated emails in general.
How do I EVER feel about automated emails? Not good. Annoyed. Bothered. I am alerted to an automated message because there's nothing about me in it except my name.
I feel like the automated email is just a step in someone's marketing plan. A message from the CEO doesn't impress me.
I HATE THIS!!! If I sign up for an app, I want to use the app only. I don't want ANY additional contact. I don't want you to thank me for trying your app. I don't want tips on how to use the app. I want you to trust that I know what I want, and leave me alone to do it. (If I have questions or need help, I will contact YOU, tyvm.) I am alerted to automated emails generally by language, sometimes they will indicate in the subject or header, or by content.
I tend to ignore those emails and delete them right away because I don't really care about them. I can usually tell that they are automated because they come very quickly and aren't personalized at all.
I hate automated emails that occur after app signup. I almost immediately unsubscribe. I work in the tech industry and have implemented several automated email solutions myself so I recognize email automation easily. I don't want you to email me unless I specifically opt-in.
I don't think that's necessary. I think it's rather annoying actually. What does it matter if a CEO has an automated email to me, it's not like they're communicating with me directly, it's the same thing as getting a robo email. Pointless.
I can't stand them. It just happened to me today. You can just tell they are automated.
I don't like automated emails unless they have asked permission to send them first and if they contained useful information. I think a way to tell it is automated is if it has a general tone and is not personalized.
I absolutely do not read them and don't spend anytime on them. They are usually filled with a lot of fakeness tend to be annoying with too many thanks that is not sincere.
Automated emails are usually impersonal messages that can be annoying if they are more than a one off welcome message. Regular messaging of this sort over time becomes tedious and spammy. Usually automated emails are labeled as such in their headers or in some fine print in the email with wording to the effect that it's automated and the recipient cannot reply to the message.
I don't believe receiving an automated message from a companies ceo is necessary or effective
Good idea, everyone always seems to get along with the people at the coffee shop they regularly go to. Its once of those businesses where people seem to have a natural connection.
I would appreciate one, but no more. Multiple automated emails are annoying and clutter. I would be sorry I signed up after a while.
I don't want to receive any emails period
It makes me feel decent to get a confirmation email I suppose, but it doesn't need to be from anyone in particular
Sometimes helpful, depends on the app or platform. You can tell its automated by the timing (if it comes quickly) or at weird times.
I hate automated emails, it just feels like i just get thrown into some queue that is never going to be looked at or even cared about, and I usually know it is because they always sound vague, it happens practically immediately into my in box and use vague wording like "you customer" or "your commitment to our company"
I feel ok receiving an automated email if I have signed for an app. However, I don't like automated emails trying to get me to sign up for an app. If the email is very impersonal that alerts me that the email is automated.
I do not like automated calls. So, no.
I think it is pretty obvious when an email is automated. I would rather not receive an email, unless it contains a really good coupon code or something like that. Otherwise, it's just clogging up space and just one more thing to sift through and delete.
I don't really know how you can tell if an email is automated. But, I do get auto notifications from several apps I use, and they are very annoying because they give me unnecessary information. If you're going to send an automated email, at least include some interesting information in it. Like Poshmark sends a notification several times a day, and I don't think it's as annoying as others because it is usually an interesting quote.
Automated messages are annoying unless it is meant as a one time introduction. Some company's do automated messages repeatedly if they feel you havent read their email. I couldnt care less if the message asked me to review their app. If I enjoy their app, I will rate it, otherwise if they send me a automated message in hopes ill review their app, i'll be less likely to do so because of the annoyance. Catching automated emails is easy as the word choices look generic, even if they try to personalize.
I won't mind. I can either read it or not.
Anything from the CEO is automated. No CEO is going to write a customer personally. I don't really like getting these types of emails. They should wait until they really have something to say before sending an email (i.e. sale, coupon, etc.)
When I receive automated emails from a company's CEO or support team after I signup for their app I feel good knowing that when I signed up for the company's app, the company received my information and they acknowledged it. I appreciate that the email itself is just an automated email, so there is no obligation on my part to respond. After I read the email, I can just delete it so it doesn't take up space in my inbox. When I receive an automated email from a company's CEO or support team I am alerted to this fact because there is usually a message at the bottom of the email that states that it is an automated email and to not respond because the company will not be able to reply to me.
I do not like getting automated emails after signing up for an app. The emails are intrusive and clutter up my inbox. I notice they are automated because they occur after signing up and have no relevance to anything in my life.
I would have no use or need for this option. I already receive too many emails, and delete as many as I can without feeling the need to open them. This sounds like it would fall into this category.
