1
The title with the background color stands out to me more.
2
I like the red color better.
3
The blue is lighter to me and brings focus to the title.
4
Red pops out more than the bluw
5
They look the same but A pops more
6
To be honest, I like both. Option A caught my eye first. I think the lighter text box over a darker background just naturally makes the cover pop a little more, but other than that, my preference is very subtle.
7
I like that particular red for the cover, it's a nice red.
8
i like the blue background best.
9
The use of a red background makes the image appear more action-oriented which I enjoy.
10
The color scheme is more appealing and eye catching.
11
The colors just make the text stand out more on this one. Makes it more eye catching.
12
I think that having to much blue like B hurts my eyes. But A has just enough blue to catch my eye.
13
The Option A cover is more pleasing to the eye. I'm not sure why. Perhaps the largely red color is easier to read background text on.
14
I think that the red looks more dramatic and the lettering stands out better.
15
Looks a bit better, stands out more
16
A stands out more
17
I think that the smaller white letters show up better against the deep red background than they do against the blue.
18
Option A looks better to me overall.
19
Blue background looks more professional and serious.
20
Both are good, but I slightly prefer Option A because I think the title and graphics on the front pop more against the darker background. I think this is especially important if someone is viewing the cover in thumbnail size.
21
The title seems to pop more in Option A. The maroon background with the blue under the white text is more vibrant than the other option.
22
the owl color makes it stand out with the red
23
Like the darker background
24
Since the only difference is the color, I prefer the darker color.
25
seems to stand out more
26
The blue background makes the page stand out and catch your eye more to draw initial attention to the title.
27
The blue speech bubble better attracts the eye to the larger text, while the red for the rest of the picture doesn't make me want to look away. Option B pushes the eye away and makes me don't want to read the picture at all.
28
I prefer the red background.
29
I like the maroon background. It makes it look smart.
30
I prefer the red color to the blue. Looks more eye-catching.
Responses to Option B
1
I like the cover color better.
2
I think the blue background looks cleaner.
3
just makes sense
4
Blue is a more sympathetic color and visually appealing
5
Either is fine, but I slightly prefer the color choices on B
6
They both have a off putting color scheme, it looks to make like the old 3d color scheme, but this has less red then the other.
7
I happen to like blue better but only slightly.
8
blue background more attractive.
9
i prefer the blue background, it is easier on the eyes
10
I like these both, but it seems it works better with the red as the highlight color.
11
My eyes were drawn to this one first.
12
The blue background makes it easier to read the text.
13
The blue background is more eye catching than the burgundy one. I think I would be more likely to pick up this book if I saw it in a book store.
14
The color scheme is easier to read than option A
15
Blue color is much better
16
I like the blue better
17
I like the blue, since it popped out much more for me.
18
Easier on the eyes and still it stands out more.
19
The white font of the main title contrasts better with the red than the blue.
20
Like the blue background better.
21
I prefer the blue background, makes it pop more
22
There seems to be less red in that cover, A seems to have more in the background. I would rather and important message (title) be in red.
23
the blue tone frames the red better and feels more natural
24
I like the background blue mainly because it looks better compared to red.
25
The red box over the blue background looks nicer, and the red box stands out better.
26
It is easier on the eyes
27
I like better the blue background, the title stands up better with the red background.
28
like the colors this way more
29
I cannot be too descriptive here because the content was identical except for the color, so i had to choose which was more appealling to the eye
30
I'd much rather buy option B because the red looks better on the blue background than the blue on red in option A. A is harder to read and kind of offensive to the eyes.
31
I like the blue background better on this book, and so would probably pick it over the other one.
32
The red acts better as a highlighting agent than a flat background color.
33
I think the blue background is a little more energetic, more awake.
34
I like the blue better, it is more inviting.
35
The red on blue stands out much better.
36
I like that background color as it would pop a lot more in a business section. Most of those books are white with maroon or red lettering. The blue really stands out.
37
Option B contrast is more appealing
38
it is more visually appealing.
39
looks more confident and reliable
40
I like the dominant blue on the eyes.
41
I find the blue background more inviting
42
I think that the white on red makes the title stand out more.
43
colors just catch my eye better
44
The majority of blue is more welcoming
45
This color combo is more attractive to me.
46
I like the blue background it looks good.
47
I much prefer the color combo/contrast on B. The red background on A looks dated, like it maybe has been fading in a back room somewhere.
48
I like the Blue background better then the red. It stands out more to me.
49
B is more eye catching, which is really the only thing someone could judge from because they are exactly the same, use the same colors- just the colors are arranged differently.
50
Both colors look a bit weird, maybe a bit cheap, but if I had to choose between those two, I would pick B. Option B looks better because of the calming blue color. Option A, just has too much Red,and looks a bit intimidating. Also all the red color on option A is disturbing my eyes a bit.
51
This book looks more appealing in terms of its design to me.
52
the blue cover is more appealing, IMO
53
I think the red background behind the title is bolder and stands out more.
54
the red with a blue back ground stands out mroe to me
55
I think the way the coloring in B is done makes it stand out more.
56
My preference is not strong, but if I had to choose I would go with the blue background
57
The blue background and red square look more appealing than the other way around.
58
The blue background is more inviting.
59
the blue color on title is better
60
I like the colors better.
61
The red is really bright so it's better if there's not too much of it.
62
These two covers are pretty similar from a design standpoint but giving the edge to the blue primary color in fhe background. It provides good contrast against the red.
63
The color contrast fits better.
64
I think the blue background is more cheerful and attention grabbing, at least it is to me. That's why I chose B.
65
The blue background seems cooler and calmer than the red
66
Both images are quite similar. However, I slightly prefer B. The color scheme appears brighter in image B. The blue background makes the maroon cube with the white writing in it stand out more than the maroon with blue in image A.
67
Strikes my eyes slightly more
68
I like the background blue color of option B better. The red background color in option A seems "angry" or too "loud". The blue background gives a calmer feel, and makes the book more pleasant to read.
69
The color scheme is much better than Choice A.
70
I prefer the blue on the outside, red inside. It looks less intimidating for some reason.
