Option A looks a lot more modern. Option B looks like it's a fiction book, and likely a fiction book for women.

Option A seems more reflective on improving yourself, and making yourself a better husband. Option B doesn't seem very self-reflective.

I think Option A portrays a better image of a man looking for this type of book. The mood better portrays most men's marriages and doesn't imply a rosy picture of running through a meadow. Option A is more realistic and would give me a better sense that the subject matter is more useful and realistic for things I could use in my own marriage. Option A would definitely be more likely to get a second glance from me than Option B.

The man on the road appears troubled, like I'm sure the men looking to purchase this book are. The road symbolically represents the book in offering the man a path on which to follow to resolve his marriage. This image resonated better with me than option B.
