Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 16 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
A | 50% 15 votes | 53.33% 16 votes +1 |
B | 33.33% 10 votes | 33.33% 10 votes |
D | 6.67% 2 votes | 6.67% 2 votes |
E | 6.67% 2 votes | 6.67% 2 votes |
C | 3.33% 1 votes | Eliminated 1 vote reassigned |
I prefer headlines that sound less like clickbait
A is the most compelling, as it sounds impossible. B and E are also interesting. C and D are somewhat generic as there are many rising stars.
I would be most likely to click on option A because I think that it is the most interesting and intriguing headline out of the five options above. I know that it is probably click bait because it's too crazy to possibly be true, but I don't care, I would click on it anyway.
A seems more uplifting and positive.
These are all very good I would click on any of them. I chose option A. This was a dream I had at that age.
A kid (essentially still a kid, anyway) being a pro basketballer is definitely newsworthy and interesting!
Having the age in there makes it much more interesting since it's so out of the usual for a 13 year old.
I prefer Option A as it highlights the specific and intriguing event of a 13-year-old making a professional basketball debut, making it the most compelling choice.
Knowing that the player is only 13 makes the headline very enticing, so I would go with option A.
i think seeing the young age and the word professional really make the story sound very compelling.
Emphasizing the fact that the boy is only 13 makes the headline more clickable and choice A is the best option because it is saying a 13 year old is making a professional debut.
Options A, B, and E are more likely to draw people's attention because it's highly unusual for a 13 year old player to be eligible for the NBA or be considered a professional player. My only concern is that these types of headlines are very click-baity and could turn some readers off. Options C and D are too vague and generic: you don't get any indication of the player's age, so there is no "shock" value to the title and most people would just skip over it
Most straightforward and least clickbait-y headline.
I prefer headlines that are descriptive of the content in the article and aren't just clickbait. I think I would probably just skip over D, B, C, and E.
Option A is the best option because it emphasizes the incredible story of a 13-year-old boy. The other options are not as clear as option A.
The fact the person is 13 should be a huge headline so options B E and A make mention of this.
B I feel is the best title as it gives me the best perception of it.
These headlines emphasize the boy's age and make the story seem more sensational.
All of these headlines are dreadful, as is basketball itself. B is the most compelling because it is factual without being too gimmicky. E is expected, cheesy, and awful. C tells me nothing. D also tells me nearly nothing. A is factual, but too choppy.
I think emphasizing the age, and where he is going to reach stardom... example the NBA, is more compelling and makes it more interesting.
B is full of suspense, everyone would really like to know who the boy is, which step has he taken and how far he is in his journey to the NBA. It sounds interesting and thrilling.
i like the action packed title in b. i like the emphasis on growth in d. i like how straightforward a is.
They all work fine, but Option B and D do the best job of providing more details.
The young age makes me want to read more about this story. I find it interesting and would want to check it out more.
I find B and E to be the more creative headlines as they invoke a mental picture.
i think the one in option C is compelling because it sounds interesting and new
'Rising star' looks more appealing than other titles.
I like Option D because of the rising star aspect of it. It made it seem more successful and motivational overall.
I like the slam dunk for a basketball metaphor, nice.
E has a better hooking headline it leaves the readers with the urge to know more about the boys story.
