For most PickFu polls, upload images at least 500 px wide with consistent aspect ratios across options. Specific poll types (Click Tests, 5-Second Tests, SERP Tests) have additional requirements — see the specs below.

Head-to-Head, Ranked, Single Select, Multi Select, Star Rating, and Emoji Reaction polls

  • Minimum width: 500 pixels
  • Recommended width: 800–1,200 pixels for optimal clarity
  • File formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and 15+ other formats
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image
  • Aspect ratio: Keep aspect ratios consistent across all options in the same poll
Consistent aspect ratios prevent one option from appearing larger or more prominent than others, which could bias respondent choices.

Image Sets (2–9 images per option)

  • Minimum width: 800 pixels per image
  • Recommended width: 1,200 pixels for best quality
  • File formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
  • Images per set: 2–9 images
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image
Keep all images within a set at the same dimensions. Maintain consistent aspect ratios across all sets being compared, and order images logically (e.g., main product image first, then detail shots). Amazon A+ Content layout

  • Recommended dimensions: 970 × 300 pixels for basic A+ Content, 1464 × 600 pixels for premium A+ Content, and 600 × 450 pixels for mobile modules
  • Images per option: Up to 6 A+ Content images
  • Layout: PickFu stacks wide images vertically, renders them at equal width, and adds white space padding so each option displays consistently

Click Tests

  • Minimum width: 1,000 pixels
  • Recommended width: 1,200–1,600 pixels for accurate heatmap generation
  • File formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB
Higher resolution images produce more accurate heatmaps. If your image is too small, click coordinates may cluster and reduce the precision of your results.

5-Second Tests

  • Minimum width: 1,000 pixels
  • Recommended width: 1,200–1,600 pixels
  • File formats: JPG, PNG, GIF
  • Maximum file size: 10 MB
Since respondents only see the image for 5 seconds, clarity matters. Use high-resolution images so details are readable at a glance.

  • Product image: Square (1:1 aspect ratio) recommended
  • Minimum size: 500 × 500 pixels
  • File formats: JPG, PNG
SERP mockups simulate Amazon search results, so your product image should look the way it would on an actual listing.

  • Use consistent aspect ratios across all options so they display evenly side by side.
  • Minimum 500 px wide for standard polls. Larger images get resized down; respondents can click to zoom.
  • Max file size: 10 MB per image.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP, TIFF, SVG, PSD, HEIF, ICO, JPEG 2000, AI, EPS, PDF, DjVu, FLIF, JPEG XR, raw files (.arw, .cr2), and TGA.

If your images need resizing, use free online tools like Pixlr, Canva, or Bulk Resize Photos. The goal is matching aspect ratios across options so they display evenly side by side.

My images look blurry in the preview — what should I do?

Upload higher resolution images. For standard polls, aim for at least 800 px wide. For Click Tests and 5-Second Tests, use 1,200 px or wider. Respondents can click to zoom in, so higher resolution always helps.

Can I upload animated GIFs?

Yes. Animated GIFs are supported across all poll types and will play automatically when respondents view your poll.

Do images need to be the same exact size?

They don’t need to be pixel-identical, but they should have the same aspect ratio. Consistent aspect ratios ensure options appear at similar visual weight and don’t introduce bias.
