The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office requires that designs seeking patents must be unpublished. If I run a survey, will it be recognized as public disclosure?

Our position is that the survey would not constitute a public disclosure. However, PickFu cannot give legal advice, and you should seek your own legal counsel.

If I run a survey, is there any risk of leakage for my trademark or appearance patent?

PickFu cannot give legal advice, so we encourage you to seek your own legal counsel on this matter.

Do respondents see the survey results?

No. Respondents do not have access to the survey results. Additionally, all respondents on the PickFu Panel agree to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before answering your survey. They are required to “Keep all information and assets confidential — do NOT record, copy, save, share or discuss these materials anywhere.”

Who has access to view my survey results?

At checkout, you can choose the option labeled “Add your survey to PickFu’s online gallery to save $5”. If you choose this option, your survey may be displayed in PickFu Examples, our public survey gallery, and used in PickFu marketing materials. To keep your results private, leave this option unchecked. Once your survey begins, your URL may be accessed by anyone with whom you share the link. This shared link is the only way others will see your results. Your survey will not be crawled or indexed by search engines.
