Daily mini-polls give PickFu+ subscribers instant access to free, quick consumer feedback every day. With these 5-person polls, you can test ideas, settle internal debates, or run quick experiments without using your account credits.

Prerequisites

  • Active PickFu+ subscription (annual plans starting at $999/year or monthly at $99/month)
  • PickFu account in good standing
New PickFu users may also have access to the daily mini poll during their 7-day PickFu Plus Lite trial. One free poll per user, per day: Each team member on a PickFu+ subscription receives their own daily mini-poll. This means larger teams can run multiple free mini-polls each day across different users.

How to create a daily mini-poll

Step 1: Access the daily mini-poll

  1. Log in to your PickFu account
  2. Click the Free daily mini-poll button on your dashboard
  3. The survey builder will open with settings configured for your mini-poll

Step 2: Build your poll

  1. Write your question in the question field
  2. Select your poll type (Head-to-Head, Ranked, Open-ended, etc.)
  3. Add your options (images, text, videos, or URLs)
  4. Optionally add question context to provide background information to respondents
Best practice: Keep your mini-poll questions focused and simple. With only 5 responses, you’ll get directional feedback rather than statistically significant data—save complex testing for larger audience sizes.

Step 3: Confirm your audience

  1. Your audience is automatically set to 5 respondents from the general U.S. audience
  2. Demographic targeting is not available for mini-polls
  3. You can add optional demographic questions to see how different groups responded

Step 4: Review and publish

  1. Click Preview to see how your poll will appear to respondents
  2. Review your question, options, and audience settings
  3. Click Checkout to proceed
  4. Verify the poll is free (if your daily mini-poll is available)
  5. Click Publish Poll to launch

Understanding your mini-poll results

Once your 5-person mini-poll completes (typically within minutes to hours), you’ll receive:
  • Vote tallies: See which option received the most votes
  • Written feedback: Read detailed explanations from each respondent about their choice
  • AI Summary: Get an automated overview of key insights (included free on all polls)
  • Demographic data: View how different demographic groups responded (if you added demographic questions)
Need more data? You can easily increase your sample size after your mini-poll completes. Click the Increase sample size button on your results page to add more respondents and get deeper insights.

Expanding your mini-poll

Starting with a mini-poll and want deeper insights? You can easily add more respondents to your existing poll:
  1. Review your 5-person mini-poll results on the results page
  2. Click the Increase sample size button at the top of the results page
  3. Choose how many additional respondents you want to add (15, 30, 50, 100, 200, or 500 total)
  4. Review the pricing and confirm your selection
  5. Your poll will continue collecting responses with the new sample size

How often do I get a free mini-poll?

Each PickFu+ user receives one free 5-person mini-poll per day. The daily allowance resets at midnight Pacific Time. If you don’t use your daily mini-poll, it does not roll over to the next day.

Can I use my mini-poll for any poll type?

Yes! Daily mini-polls support all PickFu poll types, including Head-to-Head, Ranked, Open-ended, Single Select, Multi Select, Star Rating, Emoji Reaction, Click Tests, and 5-Second Tests.

Can I target specific audiences with my mini-poll?

No. Daily mini-polls are restricted to a general U.S. audience with no demographic targeting available. If you need to target specific demographics, age groups, or other traits, you’ll need to increase your sample size to 15 or more respondents, which will use your account credits and unlock targeting options.

If you’ve already used your free daily mini-poll for the day, creating another 5-person poll will use your account credits at standard pricing. Your next free mini-poll will be available after midnight Pacific Time.

Yes! After your mini-poll completes, you can click the Increase sample size button on the results page to add more respondents.
