This one catches my attention better and is the shorter text.

It's short but effective.

The first line instantly drew me in faster, as well as the shorter and more concise formatting kept my attention longer

It feels closer to a first person retelling, insight rather than all of the "theys" and such in option B.

I prefer option A out of these 2 options as it is a bit shorter and more to the point than option B overall. I also like that the first line really draws me in saying that "it's hard enough just staying alive".

I thought option A was easier to read and understand. It kept it more concise which I liked.

B is too long and the extra content is not helpful. I think both could be shortened somewhat but A is better.

This one appeals to me immediately with the first sentence - it is relatable and exciting.

A is shorter, so it's automatically more appealing, but it's tag line also draws you in. The details give and better worded in A, but I would try to slim it down just a bit more. Example Savaged by dreams of disaster, but harboring bright hopes for the future, Shadow knows she must rise above the turmoil to help her pack survive. Three sentences into one. Make it quick, but informative. Too much information will turn people away and give away too much of the plot.

Option A sounds really intense. I actually would be interested in reading both. I think this sounds like a really fun book.

It grabbed my attention more. If staying alive is hard enough it makes me want to know what other challenges they will face and how they manage to overcome it. Will it be a happy ending?

Option B needs an editor, BADLY. Option A uses a mix of sentence types and doesn't explicitly state everything for the reader.

I chose option A because it gets to the point of the book before going too far off track. Option B has too many analogies and is too long winded.

It's short, sweet and to the point. I like the way this reads much more.

I think it tells you a good bit of what you are reading without getting lost in the details of the story.

I like the way A is written better. Although both A and B say similar things in similar ways, the order of A seems much more natural and the transitions flow a lot better.

The first line of A is more "grabby"

A is more clear about the plot and what the story is about. I would remove the part that says "Click the BUY NOW button to enter Shadow’s world today." in both of the descriptions. It ruins the immersion.

The writing is better.

A - though clearly both are describing the same novel, this is just a more exciting description. It hooks with a better first line, and makes more of the character of Shadow.

The description is shorter and has more of a hook. From the first couple of sentences it made it clear that the book is a fantasy told from the viewpoint of a wolf living in her pack. Option B reads more like a non-fiction documentary book for the first half of the description, and is far more dry. Option A makes things sound more interesting, and a bit more urgent, highlighting the danger and stress that Shadow is dealing with as she tries to navigate leading her pack. It makes the book sound more like an interesting read.

The paragraph breaks made the description easier to read. I found myself skimming less can I did with the other description.

The it's hard enough to stay alive really makes it seem deep

I prefer this one because the first sentence draws me in and then I find it interesting to find out what is going on with the wolves and Shadow.

Option A gets the point of the book across without being as lengthy to read.

I don't particularly like either of these descriptions. They both take too long to tell you that the main characters are actually animals and not people or a paranormal style book. As well as the fact that they give far too much away while also saying absolutely nothing about the book itself. Giving a Warrior Cats nod is good, but what makes this book stand out or even get to be counted in the same area? C.S Lewis is also a really odd choice to include there as the other choice. Were you thinking more of Brian Jacques of Redwall?

The description is so good to read that it didn't take me as long as i thought it would and the word structure in B is more sophisticated.

I feel like B is more straightforward on the plot versus A even though it is longer.

I like B because even though it appears longer, by breaking up the summary into smaller paragraphs I felt that it was easier to read.

I think that this one, though it's longer, gives a little bit more background and sets up the story a little bit better

Even though it was longer, it didn't have the comical first-person narrative that the other option had, was more realistic and honestly something I would rather read.

This description really drew me in a lot more. It sounds suspenseful and exciting.

I like B over A because it includes drama of Shadow.

Both of these passages are too wordy and give away too much of the plot. I think B is less awkwardly worded. I like the comparison to similar authors because that is often how I find new books to read (but Erin Hunter in the same category as CS Lewis? REALLY??)" For Shadow, the increasing pressure of responsibility weighs heavily, and her path forward is unclear and often frightening. Savaged by dreams of disaster, but harboring bright hopes for the future, Shadow is torn by irony. Still, she must overcome." this entire passage does not need to be there. The paragraph that follows could also be edited down.

B is better because it establishes the world and the history at the top. It also describes the main character more clearly than A's blurb.

B seemed better constructed, written, and descriptive. I read it as more interesting.

B instantly tells you that the story is about a wolf, and gives more details than A. I would be drawn in by B!

Choice B reads better and weaves in information through phrases more smoothly than choice A does.

I chose B because it gave more exposition before going into the protagonist's story. Setting the tone and environment is important so readers can get a sense of the world the protagonist has to work in. Too much about the protagonist early on wasn't interesting to read in Choice A.

Option B explains things more clearly and is very easy to understand. I don’t really like the first line of Option A because it’s so generic.

Choice B is more descriptive of what the book features in the story, it grabs the attention more.

B just sounds more serious so I prefer thos.

I like how both excerpts started the same way and ended with a question. I think choice B explained things more which made me want to read it because I was not confused about what the person was saying or what the book was about.
