I would use a higher quality image if possible, the current one is a little grainy. Maybe add some color to the site as well. I don't think anything needs to be removed
I think what you have already is good. I would not add anything to it.
Looks good but I would add in a small image of one of your favorite art pieces.
Add more more pictures. I think need to take away the pop up.
I think you should add some more pictures. I definitely think you should add some more color to the webpage to grab peoples attention a little more. I don't think there is anything you necessarily need to take away.
I think that you need to replace the picture with one that is a little bit more high-quality and less grainy/blurry. Maybe add some examples of your work. There are also a few grammatical errors that should be fixed, mostly just capitalization issues (i.e. "Large Prints" in the third paragraph).
I think that it is laid out in a very nice way. The description is great but the only thing i would change is to a less blurry picture.
Add some color, it's all grey on white with different shades of grey and black. You need a LITTLE more color even if you're aiming for a sparse theme.
I wouldn't remove anything looks like a very good about me page
The bio is great but you should get a clearer picture!
I think adding how long you've been painting would beneficial. However, don't think your educational background is important in this instance especially since it's not art related.
I think you need a better picture. The size is fine but it is too blurry. The logo is blurry too . The font color needs to be darker a little, because it is hard to read. Everything else looks minimal and great.
I would add some color to the background, all white is tough on the eyes.
I think you don't need to take anything away but I would add maybe one example of your art that you are the most proud of.
I would take a higher res photo. Reduce the white space between About Me and John Lambert. Actually, making the picture smaller would reduce that excess white space.
The information itself is great, but it could use a lot more color and a much more modern theme.
Get rid of the part about selling prints. Add more about your inspirations.
I think your educational background should be in the first paragraph. You should also have a link to some of your work. Also your photo is very bland, maybe and some color to your shirt to add a little life to the photo.
I would add more detail on the educational background.
I like all the information that you have personally and always think more info is better! I like that you have a picture and would even welcome a video clip of you speaking so we can get to know you more as well as maybe a darker font so that it is easier to read.
I think showing a couple of small works or maybe a shot of you working on a project would be nice here, there's a lot of description of your process, which is great! But seeing a little visual representation of it or the result of it, even on a page like this, would tie things together nicely I think.
with you being an artist, why not have some more color? some splashes of color or even a watermark with one of your paintings, or even a low-res gallery would be ideal. never mind, i found them after clicking the link at the top. maybe consider some small icons to add a splash of color rather than just text would add more interest and engagement. it would also showcase some of your work on the front page.
The first thing that jumps out at me is that your picture is blurry. That isn't a good look. The second thing is that the text is too light, it's hardly readable, and should be much darker.
The page itself needs a layout overhaul so the viewer feels comfortable reading the information about you. Most of the text is aggregated to the left side of the page beside your photo which doesn't look very appealing. Maybe adding something in the background of the page might help create a more unique experience
Can you get a sharper image of yourself? The current image is blurry. Also, maybe an image or two that demonstrates what your work looks like? finally, some thoughts on how your artistic style came to be?
I don't think you're lacking a lot. In a relatively brief passage, I'm getting a lot of useful info. I think it's just right. I get some useful info without having to read a novella. And, just saying... your artwork looks amazing.
The only thing I see is the poor quality of the photo. It is slightly fuzzy and given modern photographic technology it should be an HD picture.
The "about me" page may want to highlight the past experience in the area of painting. A list of experience in reverse chronological order may be useful to showcase the capability of painting.
I think it is fine but it could be organized better. It jumps around a bit. I would have an editor take a look at it to see if they can help you make it flow better. The picture is nice and the sentiment is nice as well. It just needs fine tuning. Hope this helps.
First off, I love your message of connecting with the nature since we do live in this beautiful place called earth and we get to see the beautiful nature of it. Second, I love how you offer original work since it is hard to get a copy will make it more valuable and personal for the customers. There is really nothing to take away but I think you should add the awards you have won and the year.
I love how personable it is. I would maybe try to clear up the photo a bit that you are using, but other than that it looks great!
It looks great but I personally don't like the pop up newsletter, it just ruins the first impression
Oh gosh. I can't think of anything to add or take away. I like the degrees and the family and the location at the bottom. Would putting in what your did to earn a living be useful? Can it be linked to your art in some way? That's the only element that might POSSIBLY be missing for some folks.
I think the their is too much blank, white spacing between where it says about me and where it mentions your name. I think that the wording is good but I would make it a darker black color as opposed to the grey it currently is. I would also change the image on the page. Make it so that it is a better and more HD photo of yourself.
I don't think you need to add or take away everything. I noticed all of my questions were easily answered in seconds by clear navigation and organization. But put your art on the front page rather than your face.
This is an excellent page but I would like to see more samples of your work and simpler overall graphics and design.
I think the image is nice but it would be nice to see more images. Maybe some of you at work or even a picture of when your just at leisure.
On the about tab, there are 2 buttons for about the artist. You should remove one. You should add an option to view art for sale by price, high to low, low to high.
Maybe change the photo as it doesn't look recent nor professional. Add a slash of color instead of doing a white background. Maybe do a painting fading in and out in the background.
I honestly thought it was fine. It was informative and not too long, I wouldn't change anything
I like the information on this page. There is nothing that needs to be taken away. A reader gets the sense of what inspires the artist, their perspective, and that is important in art. I think adding information about the kinds of art that inspire the artist is something that could be added. I think a better photo of the artist is the most important change I would make.
I would ditch the middle section, TBH. I don't think "I knew, when I was young, that words and images go together. We need both! "Tangling Words and Images" is how I think of my work. My painting and work are part of a story, or description to evoke a response. I grew up surrounded by books, music, and study. Having won a few local awards at art fairs. I began painting more, first for myself and now for others." doesn't really need to be there. I would add a LinkedIn account as well, if you have one. If you don't have one, it is worth making an account (free) as it can be beneficial for professional networking.
The bio is nice. remove the vitae details about degrees. Add what draws you to scapes of all kinds, nature, etc. You want me to feel what you do. Perhaps add an example from the get go.
I think the page is too white. If it's an artist's page I would think I would see some color or some art. The page itself isn't very interesting. The artist's image could be more clear. I don't think there is anything that needs to be taken away. I don't like pop up when you first enter the page but the discount is beneficial.
I like the layout and appreciate that you take the time to explain why you create the art that you do, but I would recommend using a darker color font, the light gray was a little difficult to see and read
it's perfect the way it is
100% get rid of the "newsletter sign-up" pop-up. I would never return to any site that has this feature.
I suggest that you change the picture. I feel like a clearer, less blurry, picture would be better.
I would swap the second and fourth paragraphs. The fourth paragraph is actually what caught my attention the most so I feel it should be higher up in your 'about me'. The second paragraph needs to be capitalized. I would suggest a clearer photograph for this page as well, the current one is a little too grainy. Your art is very beautiful by the way.
The photo is blurry and should be smaller. It would be better to showcase your art on the first page too rather than a head shot.
