Where do you get the majority of your news?
37 Responses to Option A
TV is always on in my house.
I enjoy watching the evening news, both local and national..too much to sift through online.
When I'm on the internet I'm either working on mturk.com, playing games, or checking my email, I only watch news updates when the television happens to be on a news channel. Usually I'll never go out of my way to watch the news.
I am accustomed to conventional reading!
MSNBC, Bill Maher
I get most of my news from the tv or the newspaper.
we can get the news very quickly
as no active participation needed we can here while doing other work
I am dependant on Traditional media outlets for news
primarily on the radio during commute
Effortless, no worries, and very convenient.
Its a day-to-day activity and we would know it on TV, News papers and Radio.
I get some news on the internet but prefer to read about news n depth in the paper.
I like to listen to the news while doing other things, like making dinner, cleaning the house. Reading the paper or internet doesn't interest me.
I stil prefer to read anything substantial in print. I use the internet for just headlines, ideas, things to look up later.
The variety of new networks with people actually talking, and my not reading what they've said is more interesting to me
Watch the news every night from 6 pm to 7 pm
I get most of my news from HLN or CNN and my local news shows. Internet would be a close second.
Because there is no enough time to spend on searching the news in Internet
I get the majority of my news from watching the evening news broadcasts on television, everyday at 6:30pm.
TV is best to watch news
I prefer more emphasis on local news, by writers I know.
internet isn't always local or reliable
I perfer to get my news the traditional was because it seems to be better researched. When you get your noews over the net it's a bit to chopped up. I perfer full coverage when I get my news not sound bits.
Traditional media outlets are more credible.
I get most of my news from the newspaper.
I generally sont't get that information from the internet
I get my news from morning local channels, Sunday paper, and news radio. The "news" I get from the internet is mostly entertainment news.
I like to hear the commentary the pundints provide.
"Most" is difficult to identify. I spend about the same amount of time on both, but I guess I get news about more different things on A.
I don't like reading froma screen.
I get the majority of my news while reading the paper while taking my lunch during the day, then watching the news (occasionaly) at night. When I'm at the computer, it is for work.
I get news from many sources, but primarily from 24 hour news channels.
Sometime when I read something, my comprehension of the material is not wholesome. That is why I like to hear someone announce the news to me so that I don't misunderstand the news. I'm very gullible because I'm quick to believe what people say. That is because I believe that people are smarter than me.
I listen to the radio all day at work including news radio. I also read the Metro free daily newspaper on the subway on my way to work.
I receive the majority of my news from conservative talk radio station, KFYI, AM 550, in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I prefer to hear news from a source which shares my conservative values.
I rarely use the internet for more than e-mail, so TV is when I watch the news.

Traditional media outlets have become partners with the obama administration.
The news on the internet is right after it happens. The other like tv take a few minutes to come in.
Although I do watch the local new on tv, and read a local paper if available
The internet is major source of quick and fast news. It is an information superhighway. It is latest and fastest media
You can go straight to looking at what you are interested in more quickly.

It's a lot more convenient.
I prefer the internet because the news is available when I want to read it and it is free.

it is faster to scan through and i get better news coverage online.
I'm online all the time, and you have to watch a lot of crap you aren't interested in (Madonna adopts African baby) on TV news.
more accessible, seems to have fewer "personalities" associated with it.
the internet gives better news with bigger choices
It is easier to get news from an aggregator such as google or yahoo, instead of flipping through multiple newspapers and magazines.
I see the news articles every time I log into AOL mail.
I actually use both but the internet gives a broader variety.
On the Internet, I can easily browse through the news categories that interest me without having to wait for the story to appear during the news hour. I can also read the news stories on multiple websites so that I get both the left and right spin, and hopefully everything in between. Plus, online, I can keep the news story window open, open a new window, and do my own research and learn more.
I find the internet allows me to more easily find the news I'm actually interested in.
It is easy to acquire it through the internet and also because I'm more familiar with the internet than any other media provider.
Because it's cheaper, updated and available anytime.
The internet contains more current news and I can choose specifically what news i want to see.
It is what I have access to the majority of my time. Whereas a paper or tv or radio are only available during certain hours
