Which name is better for a site that helps you remember to keep in touch with people in your network?
12 Responses to Option A
Ticklr sounds more technological
Remindr does not sound at all related - it sounds like a calendar app. Ticklr sounds like a fun website.
It makes me think of something I would do to someone, a happy interaction
"Ticklers" are commonly used systems to do this for business, and makes it a bit more clear what the site is for. The other name isn't terrible, but Ticklr is a bit more memorable and distrinctive.
Remindr is too straightforward; Ticklr has a bit more mystery
it sounds funky and cute and does its work of tickling our brains of the site.the other is kind of boring.
It has not failed me before.
sounds dirty, rememberable for most
Ticklr is shorter, more catchy and easier to remember. Remindr is boring.
Option A is a more unique reference
Option B does not sound as well as option A, that is why.
the tickler is the famous term for reminding people on the professional level.
38 Responses to Option B
this one tells you what it does "remind you", the other one doesnt sound at all like the service.
Option B sounds just what the service is, I'm not sure what Option A is referring to, it honestly sounds like an adult web site.
Because the site is going to remind you of something
Remindr is close to the word reminder, it makes more sense
keep in touch-a reminder!
Option B is a more descriptive name. Option A could be used for the name of a humor site.
It explains excatly what the site is about: reminding.
Remindr is based on the word remembrance, whereas ticklr? It doesn't seem to capture an idea for a site for keeping in touch with a network.
ticklr doesn't make sense, it sounds like you're going to tickle somebody.
It sounds more like what it does
brings to mind reminders!
network and reminders sound simular
It tells you the point in the name. The other one does not.
It sounds more logical and the name sounds like it belongs with keeping in touch or remembering.
It just sounds better.
because it is named remindr which is like remainder.
Ticklr doesn't sound like remembering to keep in touch with people. It sounds like tickling someone. Remindr is the only obvious choice.
More intuitive name. Other sounds like Twitter.
Remindr is a very clever name. Ticklr doesn't even make sense.
Option A does not bear any resemblence to what the site is intended for.
Much more direct! Easier to remember
ticklr sounds very sleazy
I associate Remindr with staying in touch. Ticklr is cute but not really relevant to staying in touch.
Ticklr sounds dirty
remindr the name itself reminds everything..hence selected this option
I associated a tickler file with office work, not people.
Sounds better it reminds you to keep in touch
It's more professional.
This is because it has the word remind in it.
Ticklr reminds me too much of Twitter. Remindr sums up exactly what the site if used for: too remind people.
I think Option B would be better because it would be easier to remember.
reminder is only set when you have forgot something the name will be appropiate as it will help me to meet some of the friends whome i might have forgotton.just like a reminder
Ticklr (as in tickler file) might not be as widely known. And tickle might have a negative connotation.
Serves the purpose of the website - easy to remember
Ticklr does not make sense. "Remindr" reminds you to do something.
Remindr is the term we can remember easily.
the other option sounds innapropriate
I know instantly what remindr is about. Ticlkr is cute, but I'd have to think about it more.
