Would you or did you use a Honeymoon specific Registry as a gift option for your guests for your wedding?
60 Responses to Option A
I picked yes because I think having more options for guests is better.
As the average age of couples getting married grows, they have less need for traditional registry items like appliances and furniture.
I would use it. It gives quests good ideas for gifts, and it helps defray the cost of the honeymoon.
I haven't used one but I would consider it.
yes
I would much rather get something I would want rather than have people guess what I want or get duplicates of the same item
goa is comfortable for me
Switzerland is best for us
good
Good way to start out and nudge people in the right direction if they don't have an idea for a gift>
I will try to solve the question from my best
It's gift. So i accept it.
This way I receive more gifts that I need, rather than loads of useless stuff.
Yes, because it allows us to plan what we wanted to do on our honeymoon. It isn't like money, it allows us to figure out ahead of time, what we can do with our money on our honeymoon.
I did not use but I think this is a fantastic idea - especially as couples are waiting until later in life to get married - their needs may be less.
It maintain a good relationship between them
this is a nice gift
We have been living together for a while so the regular gift registry would be redundant. A honeymoon gift option would help us more!
it is looking nice choice
yes,i would prefer this option.
it is worthy
Wouldn't hurt to have one.
i think it is an amazing gift
very excellent gift only
cause i don't want to pay for my honeymoon
We wanted people to know some of the things we wanted.
this is a gift, so have to use it with pleasure.
When I got married, it seemed like a practical way for my wife and I to set-up our household and get the specific items we wanted, while helping the gift givers with suggestions of appropriate gifts.
Yes I would, because these contain memories that couples would cherish for a lifetime
I would get what I want
to avoid unwanted gifts
Because more options are better not everyone wants the same thing.
If we don't use it, let others use it!
i didgive gipt my wedding
Anything on the beaches .....
Taking a trip is more fun than normal wedding gifts.
yes.Because its a wonderful gift for every couples.
Avoid redundancy of gifts.
of course I will use that registry as a gift..
So That People Know What To Get You Instead Of Just Guessing!
I think it's very practical
I think it is great to use a Honey moon specific Registry as a gift option, so that the guests could decide if they want to experience good hotels or resorts for their romantic honeymoon.
because its free and for sure it will a nice and romanticplace they choose for us.
i am devi
It would give guests more gift options.
I am not married but I think that would be a good way to make sure you get exactly want you want for a wedding gift.
Best gift for newly wedded couple
It sounds like a cute idea.
To let people know what we need and to avoid multiples of a gift.
Yes I did, from my friend, because he wants to spend some amount on my wedding gift , and this is my best choice , so I asked him .
yes i used a honetmoon spicific registry as agift option. it's a thrilling.
Yes, if there is no specific amount required...this gives guests a wider range of options; today more people seem to like giving 'money'and this would be similiar.
They want to know what I want. If this is what I want, it'll make gift giving easier.
Using a registry would make it easier for guests to give gifts. That was my experience when I wanted to give wedding gifts to my friends.
I would like to get gifts that I really want.
1
that might be a good a option
it should be more convenient and easy to do
I would love to be able to make my honeymoon better and already have most traditional wedding gifts, so the honeymoon gift would be more useful
I would so that the guest have the option of helping you out on your honeymoon.

Why would I give my smart aleck friends an opportunity to know the details of my honeymoon?
I simply cannot fathom asking for money for a wedding present, especially for a trip.
Feels far too much like directly asking for money.
didn't go on a honeymoon
The honeymoon is not their responsibility.
i dont like it
Married in a foreign country--we followed local custom and held a feast and invited entire village/barrio. Guests brought food to share.
I would like a real gift.
I would prefer to only include household items on my registry because I feel they would be more useful to us.
I only asked for household things.
This has no appeal for me.
We didn't because we didn't really plan on a honeymoon that would be huge. So we went for things for the house.
Too expensive
I had a very simple, inexpensive wedding and I didn't go on a honeymoon.
We didn't use any gift registry for our wedding.
30 years ago this was not in style!
We left it open to what guests wanted to bring.
I'm not sure I would be comfortable with a Honeymoon Registry.
i don't like to go honeymoon. so i don't registry as a gift option for my guests for my wedding.
good
i not married. so i choose it B.
I wouldn't have gifts for guests at my wedding.
Because Honeymoon is like a personal one for their couple or his family so we are not interfier in this.
I feel that a Honeymoon registry would be too tacky and forward for my guests at the wedding. I invited them to be a part of my special day and not to get free stuff.
Quite frankly, I would feel awkward asking guests to contribute something like that.
we had a small wedding and the showe we had only had about 25 people
I do not like the thought of honeymoons.
That's not personal.
i never bring gift only cash
I don't think that service is available in my country
I think gift ideas should come from the person. It's the thought that counts, and is usually better than a registry.
Never heard of a Honeymoon specific Registry.
I dont know about it...
They weren't around when I got married - I would rather get stuff off of my gift registry anyway
tacky
It was too pricey
They did not have the internet when I got married nor do I think I would use it
friend and family could not afford
I'm not sure what a "Honeymoon specific registry" is.
Didn't even think of putting honeymoon stuff on registry. Probably wouldn't have.
I didn't know they existed.
We thought that by having a registry, people would feel preasured to give a gift.
It's tacky - people should be giving you things to start your life together, not go on a holiday!
We wanted to keep our wedding simple, & allow guests to choose based on their hearts.
Beacuse i'm not married.
Do not intend to get married
seemed tacky
Dream honeymoon is very expensive
because i havent heard about it
We did not have a wedding. We got married before a judge.
I would want those giving wedding gifts to focus on things that would be practical in every day life.
It seems a little greedy and unnecessary to make a list of desired objects for guests to choose what they want to give. Guests should think of presents by themselves.
I think registering for money to pay for a honeymoon is tacky
I was not aware there were Honeymoon specific registries. We created a regular gift registry consisting of common household/kitchen items that we needed.
no need
No I didnt. Frankly, the reason is that I did not know these kind of gift ideas
i will not do that . i fell at the time of my wedding i will be ending enough to finance my own honeymoon. there is one more reason in my opinion we should not ask for gifts
no i wont use a honeymoon specific registry as a gift for my wedding, i prefer any other gift more worthy
i don't know what is it
No, i did not . because i don't like to
I funded my own honeymoon so did not need it.
tacky
I preferred cash instead.
We have not taken our honeymoon yet. Not enough money to do so.
I wasn't aware of honeymoon registries when I got married. Also, my husband arranged our honeymoon as a surprise for me.
I would not want a honeymoon specific registry as a gift option because I would rather save up the money to pay for it with my fiancee & have those who give us wedding gifts just purchase items they think we would like or that we have registered for. I think a honeymoon specific registry seems like it would leave quite a bit of uncertainty until the last minute about how much would be taken care of by friends & family, leaving me not sure of how much my fiancee & I would be left to cover the cost of.
I don't really think rregistry's are good.
It would make me uncomfortable to ask my friends or family to pay for my honeymoon.
don't think there are much advantages.
I would like people to make charity donations instead.
I'd prefer cash which could be used for honeymoon, or for any other purpose as well
I would not use a further registry during my wedding. It can be hard enough directing attention to the main registry. If I really needed Honeymoon specific items, they would be folded into the main registry anyway.
We took a simple honeymoon, so no reason for a honeymoon-specific registry.
I did not think a registery would be useful
I never married!
I prefer going the route of the more practical items that are on registries at the usual stores for wedding registries that provide products that we can use in our day to day lives for a long period of time, rather than things that will be used for what will equal up to only one vacation and one week or so worth of time.
Totally TACKY! Come to my wedding and pay for a trip I want to take?????
We went to Vegas & got Married.
it would make me feel like everyone had to pick certian gifts and shop at a certian place.
The honeymooon should and will be a decision decided and provided by my wife and I and we would not like anybody else to have any influence on it.
I do not consider gifts as an important part of getting married.
Not married
We needed household items more.
I did not give my guests gift options.
I don't like
single
I feel like a registry is almost like a shopping list. I would rather give guests freedom in choosing a present.
I didn't have a wedding yet, I'm only 12!
Because the tradition of giving wedding gifts is to help the couple set up a life together rather than have a vacation together, I would not use a Honeymoon specific Registry as a gift option.
I believe that the brides's father has to fullly pay for the honeymoon, so i wouldn't burden my guest with that registry.
I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on a honeymoon. I'd rather use money for a house.
It sounds in poor taste
It is because I didn't think of that option before and once I knew it, I don't think it's good for all gift purposes.
not that efficient for me or easy
I think it is enough to provide a registry just for wedding gifts alone. Providing a honeymoon registry seems a little greedy and over the top to me. Couple should be responsible for the honeymoon cost...
seems unlikely to have enough options although I would have to look anyway.
I don't think it should be honeymoon based
i don't know what that is
because optionn B is sample of option A aswellas option A is sample of option B,it links directly to option B,therfore answer is B
Just not into that, kinda prefer the old ways.
no
i'm not married and have never been married.
I would feel embarrassed about having wedding guests buy honeymoon related gifts.
I didn't need anything specific and thought it is rude to use a registry
I would like to keep my privacy and to decide whom to disclose this kind of information
I decided not to
I would never look it in
Wasn't available when I was married
I never got married
I dont know what is honeymoon specific registry
There were no guests at our wedding. Weddings are not about getting gifts.
I would like to plan the wedding the traditional way
I didn't have to
We need more gifts for long term use, rather than for vacation.
I never got married. I am dating a lady right now but never considered getting married yet. I not even got to the planning stage yet.
It will be cool to gift an attractive article rather than a honeymoon registry.
We didn't use any sort of registry-- our wedding was informal.
I do not want to use a gift option for honeymoon.
We asked our families to give us a little money instead of gifts.
Honeymoon specific says that givers are to give to the celebration of the wedding, not to the celebration of the marriage itself. Gifts for the use during the marriage, more traditional gifts are preferred.
Do everything on my own
That seems to be a lot of money to ask of one or two people.
There aren't specific things you'd need for a honeymoon to require a registry. The registry should be for the wedding itself.
i choosed option b because i dont have enough money to give this big gift
No. I'm not married yetm but I am engaged. We aren't planning on having that sort of wedding. I think registries are a cheap way to get more gifts. In other words, it seems a bit greedy.
I think it is rather tacky. The Honeymoon is something that the couple should have planned before the wedding. They should not wait to see the gifts to know what they are going.
I am not sure what a Honeymoon specific registry is, we used gift registries at several stores.
I choose option B. Because i think to take my wife for honeymoon in my money. But that gift tells that it is a free gift from others. And the Honeymoon is not happy one. That's why i choose NO for this type of question.
that our own choose
Have not been married and have never heard of Honeymoon specific registry
Because I would rather choose things for my household not related to my Honeymoon.
i feel that asking guest to help pay for your honymoon is just not right in some ways yes its a nice idea but regesties are for chinia silver house stuff i would fell guily asking guest to help pay for my honeymoon
Useless.
Even though it helps so that you don't get the same thing, I think it is very tacky and inappropriately puts stress on the guests
I think it is slightly rude to expect guests to pick gifts from somewhere picked by myself. I should be happy with whichever gifts I'm given from anywhere the guest may choose.
Wasn't going on a honeymoon because of pregnancy
i just wanted a regular one
I dont know what a hunnymoon regestry is
I would not use this because I don't know what it is.
It should be someone's choice to give you a gift.
