The black background provides a better contrast with the pictured objects and make the entire cover more attention-getting.
The black background color allows you to see all of the objects in a clearer way.
I usually prefer lighter based covers, but this dark cover fits very well and looks professional in my opinion.
I like how choice A has a darker and emboldened darker background with a much more solid font.
Option A image has better contrast and visibility
I like the darker image better. That is why I chose A.
The black background made everything easier to read on the cover. On the white background, I had to squint to read some of it.
I prefer the black background for the book cover more than the white background.
stands out more and looks more luxurious
the background looks much better to me
I think the darker cover is easier to read and books less pieced together and photo shopped.
I like option A the best because I think the black background with the white lettering really jumps out and makes everything else on the cover stand out more as well.
Much easier to distinguish notable items from the rest.
The dark background blends better with everything else in the picture. The white background looks unnatural and tacky.
Option A. The dark black background makes everything else that is on that page stand out vividly. It is easy to read and look at.
The color contrast is more eye catching
I CHOSE A BECAUSE THOUGH THE COVERS ARE SAME, A LOOKS MORE ATTRACTIVE AND BRIGHTER COMPARITIVELY AND WHEN A DARK BACKGROUND WITH LIGHT LETTER IS GIVEN, IT IS ALWAYS ENHANCED AND HIGHLIGHTED.
The title stands out so much better in this one.
I think A is the better book cover. To me, I think having the black background really makes the gold coins shine. As the book is about investing in art and collectibles, I feel it is a good idea to have the gold coins really stand out, since we're talking about making money.
I chose Option A because the dark background makes my eyes focus more on the title and the subtitle, to know better what this book is about.
THE BLACK BACKGROUND LOOKS MORE ELEGANT AND BLENDS IN BETTER WITH THE REST OF THE AD
I chose option a because the dark cover contrasts nicely with all of the items that are spread around on the cover. The items kind of blended in with the lighter color in option B.
I think the white on black lettering pops more and makes the book cover more noticeable.
I like the writting in white to help make it stand out with the black background.
The black background makes it more luxurious
I prefer the black background... it looks better designed and allows the gold coins to pop off the page more.
I like the book cover in Option A better because the contrast of the colors on the black background is much more appealing. With the darker background the other colors and the lettering stands out much more and grabs the attention of the consumer. The bright yellow color and gold tones stand out more and are much more pronounced.
I like the darker background used in Option A a little better than the lighter background used in Option B.
The white letter on black background are much easier to read that the opposite.
I think the darker background makes everything else stand out more and makes the image really pop and catch the eye and feel more exciting
I chose A because I find the dark background more appealing.
The dark background appeals more and us nice.
I chose A because I thought the darker background was sleeker and more modern. I felt it did a better job drawing my attention to the cover and emphasizing the interesting portions of the overall cover artwork.
the black background really stuck out. cool stuff
I like the black color better. It helps to make the images pop out more on the cover.
I think the white font on dark background stands out a lot more so A
I like Option A background better than B. The darker background looks more rich and luxurious. The lighter background looks too much like a magazine.
I chose A because I like the color scheme better than the other option.
I like the black cover. More attractive
The background color gives more contrast and draws the eye to the collectible objects which I think gives it greater appeal.
I like the dark color because it's easier to see the title and background pictures. Selection B looks like a magazine cover, to me, rather than a book because of the lighter cover.
The colors contrast better. It also looks more formal and offiicial, whereas the white background seems too plain a nd boring to really get anyone's attention.
I like the black backgrounds as it makes the words just pop out more. I think that makes it more attractive and catchy.
I like the dark background in the display
The dark background is far nicer!
The black background makes everything else on the cover pop out more and stand out more.
I think the black background draws the viewers attention better. It feels more professional and invokes a sense of confidence in the financial advice being offered.
I think option 'A' looks better for a book cover. The black background blends well with everything in this cover. It looks more transparent and sharp compared to the other option. Option 'A' caught my eyes instantly.
The black background is ver striking. It caught my attentiion immediately. White backgrounds are not effective
The black space gives me a bigger chance to use my imagination.
With the black background, all the items of the photo stick out more. It’s easier to focus on the picture and pick up what’s going on. Choice A is the better cover.
The black background, at first glance, comes off as more detailed and interesting.
The black background is crisp and makes the title stand out. The strange coin pizza doesn't makes sense but the black cover is the better looking cover as the floor fades nicely on the horizon line
i like a because the black background is bolder. also, the title letters in a are NOT shadowed, as they are in the white color background. the shadows in the letter make me feel like it was done in word and feels very amateur.
I like A - the black background makes everything else stand out more on the cover.
The dark background makes for ground elements pop
Each of the images stands out better in A. Additionally, it looks like it is done professionally.
I chose A because black background helps other things to be outstanding.
I like A because I feel the black background helps the other items on the cover stand out. The contrast on A is just beautiful. The gold coins really shine and I think it looks more luxurious .
For a book cover I definitely say that option A looks more sturdy and stable and on this subject, the black background seems more legit. Black usually means like a stable base that is not going anywhere and the Mona Lisa and the baseball cards stand out more with the black background. In option B, the pictures sort of get lost, and it is harder to distinguish what is what. I like option A and would probably pick it up to see what this is about.
This one looks less busy with the background and more trustworthy with the information
I really like the darker background best. I feel like it makes the words pop more. I'm intrigued by this book.
I feel like all of the collectible items on the cover stand out more on the black background.
The coins and paintings stand out much better against the black background.
The black background in my opinion really makes the colors of everything pop out far more. It's more defining. The bright bold white words are easier to read on choice a and that makes it catch the eye before the choice b does. It looking at a shelf my eye would be drawn in on the bright and bold of choice a instead of the more dull choice b.
I think A is more interesting due to the dark background. It also seems richer and more sophisticated. The subject matter of the book is intriguing.
I like the black better.

The white background is less sinister
the other black background is a bit too dark. I like the contrast here.
I dig the white background a lot more.
I like the lighter color, it just seems more cheerful and positive.
The color contrast makes the information in the text easier to read. Small text in white on a black background is too hard to read, so I prefer black text on a white background in that context.
White color gives it more positive look
Dark backgrounds are hard to read. I wouldn't give this one a second glance.
The white background blends better with the objects on the cover namely the nintendo.
I think the black hides the pictures more than the light background. The light background allows them to stand out.
I mostly prefer Option B because I think it makes the other images pop out and stand out more (e.g., the images of the baseball card and Mona Lisa). I also think that it seems more optimistic and hopeful though too, in the same way that a room full of natural light feels hopeful. The black background kind of feels like a dark void, and it doesn't seem to have the same potential that the lighter background does, if that makes sense. I think the lighter background is much more inviting and would cause me and many other people to be much more likely to pick it up and browse the book.
I like the lighter color scheme better.
The white seems to be a better contrast. I like it more and it feels more transient between each item. So I would go with that as the better choice here. Great looking ad for art investing!
The background was way too dark in the other option for me. Usually I like contrast but the objects in the for ground were not bright enough.
I chose B because it catches my eye more quickly than A. I actually think that A is easier on the eyes, but if I were browsing in a bookstore or shopping online, I would notice the white cover first and be drawn that one right away. Being brighter, I see it faster.
The lighter colors in Option B make it seem more positive.
The lighter background is more attention-grabbing and draws the eye more to the collectables in the image, which flows well into the title of the book. The dark one is too dark and too much detail is lost.
A black backdrop looks worse
B because it actually highlights the items in the image. I feel that in A the images kind of just blends in with the black background. B is definitely more easy to look at and pleasing to the eye.
I feel the white background makes the title of the book stand out more and is more eye catching than just a black background.
the lighter color makes it look more like an image from a fancy museum. White walls with artwork scattered all around
I think the graphic elements (i.e. painting, car, comic book, baseball card, etc) stand out better on the lighter background. Some of the coins are blurry and none of the coin edges are crisp.
I prefer the white background over the black background it's easier and brighter to see and it shows up nicely on my iPhone.
I much prefer the white background as it helps the remaining objects stand out much better. The black background shrinks the perspective of the supporting objects on the cover and takes away you wanting to run your eye up and down the cover for details.
I think the items "pop" more on the white wall of the book cover, but I do think the color is a little stark. I would do a lighter shade of tan or khaki.
B - the white background seems more credible. The black one reminded me of a casino in Las Vegas at night for some reason as a first impression.
The white background allows the Title and graphics to stand out more. Also the light color seems hopeful vs the dark and gloomy color.
Much much better with the white background. Everything else on the book cover stands out more when the background is white rather than black. The black version just looks boring because nothing stands out.
The one with the black background is too dark and makes it hard to see all the elements
The lighter color is more compelling
Both covers look nice but I like the lighter color because it makes it seem more authentic.
The lighter color makes me think more that this is art that could be in a gallery and more prestigious.
I chose B because the cover appealed to me more. Having the font with the shading on the white background made it appear more 3-d and appearling versus the plain 2-d white font on the black background in Option A. I think overall the white background makes it look more professional and like a book while the balack background in Option A looked more like an advertisement poster.
The main difference between the two covers is that Option A has a dark background and option B has a light background. For the topic of investing in art and collectibles, I would say that the lighter background elicits hope and is more positive. IN addition, the characters are clear and it stands out.
