Which book do you want to read?
26 Responses to Option A
The lighting for A looks more professional than the oversaturation of B. However, I think it's good to include the word regency on A
I think A would better spark my interest and would seem more legitimate.
I like her looking away from the camera. Makes it seem more mysterious.
A is my top pick because of the image and the tagline, which intrigue me.
I would rather read option A because the subtitle tells me a little bit about the book so I'm interested to know about the details that it mentions.
the image on A looks more real and its more captivating and enticing.
I really prefer option A as I think the woman in option A really represents the description as well as the book title and just meshed really well together.
I like this one the most because I enjoy seeing the cover and how it feels more natural and realistic. I like how she is not posed and how the sky is full of clouds. It feels more like she is living in that time.
I want to read Option A book sounds good then option B
Although I like the girl on choice B, I would choose choice A because of the description off the book.
It's a little weird the model in B is looking directly at me, it feels out of place.
This was a better picture for me. It was a bit more mysterious in my mind.
i would want to read the book in option A more because it's more rustic and antique looking
Option A, the book cover as well as the introduction is mor intriguing
A very tough decision because they are both great. I went with A because of the subtle smile.
The woman in A is better integrated with the background than the woman in B. The woman in B just seems like she was photoshopped into the photo.
The subject description tells what to expect from the story without being pretentious and comparing to an iconic author.
I would choose A because I never read Jane Austen.
Optoin A, i prefer the tale of heartbreak, courage and love, over the regency romance line on the title. The image of the girl is how I would envision a young lady during that time period, pleasant but not a bit reserved.
I prefer Option A because the model is looking away. It makes me think there's a lot to the story.
b looked very fake looking and it was off putting
I choose A because if the description of the book, B refers to it being written in the tradition of Jane Austin, if you did not like her work you may not look further at the book.
Option A is the book that I want to read because it has more interesting details in the cover which makes it more attractive.
I like A for the eyes not looking at the reader directly
She looks a little older in A, and mentioning Jane Austen does not make me want to read the book.
The book title is more interesting along with the description. Also, the picture of the girl is much better on option B.

She looks more old fashion
I like Option B's tagline better. By stating the book is Austenisk, makes it more desirable to many readers and those who love Austen and Austen type stories will be tempted to check this out. I also like the dress and color of the ribbon on the hat on Option B better.
This option featured a more engaging character looking more directly at the audience and the pink color tones were more feminine.
I would read the book with cover B. The womans face on choice B is turned towards the reader drawing them in. She has a look of being "up to something" in her eyes. I did not like cover A because the woman the woman has a strange expression on her face that I really can't place. It could be smug or it could be worried. I'm not sure.
The girl on the cover looks like she's going to have an adventure (yes, I know judging a book...) also "in the style of" gives me an idea of what I'm in for literature wise
I chose option B because it looks more natural. The photo is more engaging and I can imagine reading it.
I think B the girl looks a bit more modern and attention getting. Also it lets you know the book is written in the "tradition of Jane Austen" so if you like that type of book, you will know, and in case you don't you can rule it out.
I strongly prefer everything about B including the picture. I love Regency romance and it looks like a happier book.
Since I love Jane Austin I would read something compared to her
i like option B and would pick it up and inspect it. I like how the photo is of the girl. SHe looks a lot like the actress, Jenna Coleman, who plays Queen Victoria in the PBS Series, Victoria. She also looks like the actress, Laura Donnelly, who plays Jamie Fraser's sister in OUtlander. I like how it says that it is in the style of Jane Austen, and that makes it sounds more mature and it tells you right away it is a romance novel. Option A sounds like it is generic and written more on a 6th grade reading level than a more educated one. I like the girl's hat and dress, but she seems to smart for a romance book.
The closer pic and the direct eye contact from the woman is a more attractive novel than in choice a. She seems more confident.
I like the more upbeat description and the clever looking heroine on the cover.
I like the somewhat more modern cover and the wording on the title appeals to me more than the other picture. Plus I like the model on the cover more.
Jane Austen is my FAVORITE author! That line hooked me immediately! However, I was already drawn to the image on the cover of the book before I read that line. I like the way the character is looking into the camera--it makes me think she is a force to be reckoned with. She reminds me of Elizabeth Darcy--a woman who can think for herself and isn't just going to go along with something for the sake of propriety. I'd love to have more info on this book!!! (I just added this to my Amazon cart--I can't wait to read it!!!)
I like the B cover. It is more clear and vivid. Also, the cover model is more attractive.
I think the photo creates more of a draw to attention than the other. Also, Jane Austin has instant recognition. Mentioning her on the cover creates instant standards for the book
This one I like that she is looking me in the eye, I feel like she has something she needs to tell me.
The photo in choice B is more effective and capturing the image.
I like the closer up picture better.
I like the image better because the background is interesting. I think the outfit is nicer with the pink ribbon. The dress is better. I don't particularly care for the subtitle. I prefer A for that but at least it gives me a feel for the type of novel.
What can I say? I am a Jane Austen lover and would rather pick up a book that is in that style if I were given the choice. I also like the cover photo of B in that the young woman, though dressed traditionally for the times shows a little bit of sparkle in the way the hat is worn, and not quite tied, and that look in her eye. She could cause problems.
bs face looks more natural
I like the cover illustration a lot more. It is a bit more upbeat. A is much more depressing, from the dark clouds to the woman's face, to the shadows behind her. I would prefer to read a book that at least looks like someone is going to have a happy ending.
It was hard to choose. The costuming in choice A seems more historically accurate I I like that, but ultimately the expression on the woman in choice B looks kinder so I chose B.
