Which cover do you prefer for a book about dealing with anxiety over heading to retirement
17 Responses to Option A
I chose A because the cover is more modern and much more pleasing in terms of the color scheme. In B, I don't think the leaves add anything in terms of giving the idea of "retirement" or ease of anxiety, so I think the calming/moderness of A is superior to B.
The cover with images such as a leaf seems more idea and appropriate given the subject matter of the book.
I do not like the leaves. What do they have to do with anything?
A i found appealing.
The second one looks like a book that prepares someone making funeral arrangements.
The leaves on B seem a little out of place to me. I prefer the more basic cover A.
the colorful words make it seem easier to grab and look at
I would pick choice A because I think the color splashes on the cover are soothing colors and gives a calming vibe which would be appealing in a discussion of anxiety and retirement.
Option A is definitely the best with the way the coloring and title are presented.
i think option A is easier to read with the highlighted words on a black background - also the cover of B doesn't really look like a retirement book, maybe more a gardening or outdoorsy type of book
The color catch my attention quickly an interest me in picking up the book.
I like the leaves in A, but they don't relate to the subject matter in my point of view. I like aesthetics that make sense, and leaves don't relate to anxiety or retirement.
The book would stand out more to people and get their attention.
I like the colors and layout in option A. That seems inviting and very positive. I would keep that around as the top cover for the book. I do think option B is nice but option A stands out more and feels bolder.
The choice i picked was more relaxing and seemed to bring me in more.
I like these colors the most of all
I prefer the more simple look.

I think that the colors in B are a lot more calming and I like the leaf motif.
i think its calmer and a little less emotionally driven than the other cover
I chose B because the colors and the leaves on the cover are more relaxing and inviting.
This book cover makes me feel relaxed already, so I think this book could be useful.
The rainbow colors are a little too much. This cover is a bit more conservative.
I like the colors more in A, but I think B is more appropriate for the content matter.
I prefer B because it makes me feel less stressed. The colors in A are very bold and give me anxiety. I also didn't like the peach color in A, it was hard to read against the white background. Option B was easy on the eyes to read.
I prefer the slightly off-white background in B to the plain white background in A. I feel there is a lot of negative space on A. Also the leaves, which appear to be painted, are more aesthetically pleasing to look at on B than just the empty space on A. I also feel like the font used to present the name at the bottom is more clear to read on B than A.
B looks more mature. A looks more like it's for younger people.
The other one looks cheap and like it was done in Microsoft Word.
the green leaves feel very relaxing and felt right for the topic of the book. i immediately felt this was the right cover choice
B is a more calming cover which fits the book's title better.
The text and background colors are easier on the eyes and easier to read although I am not too keen on why there are falling leaves in the design.
The leaves look nice and give a sense of peacefulness and serenity, which mirrors the message of the book
B strikes me as more in-depth, natural and credible. A strikes me as more surface-level with simple, practical ideas. I'm not saying this quite right...I feel like A would be supportive of me and go deeper to help me not just deal with it, but to understand its larger meaning in my life. I feel like A would give me kind of simpler, down home advice and be more of a checklist/how-to. (I honestly think both perspectives are great and needed.) I feel B would be a bit heavier and A would be a bit lighter-fare.
More soothing, and if there is some way to tie in a plant theme in the book it is perfect
It is a more calm serene cover, the other is a bit too loud for the subject matter.
I believe the generation ready for retirement currently would find this cover more appealing
A looks very plain and low effort. Also the way the words look highlighted with a marker communicates a sense of urgency, which is opposite of the sentiment to stop freaking out.
Option A feels informal, it appears trendy and may not work.
I like B the most because of the calming effect of the colors and leaves. It gives you a sense of calm down.
I did not option A's design. I felt like option B was much simpler and more appealing.
The best thing about B is the leaves on the cover. That made me think of "turning over a new leaf". It reiterated to me the idea of making positive new changes in life.
more appealing and softer look to the logo
Retirement is a serious subject, and option B seems more serious. Option A just seems whimsical and a makes me think of a fad. I realize the messaging and content is the same, but option B is just much more realistic to me.
I chose B because the yellow subtitles on the white background in A made it more difficult to read.
I chose option B because it is more detailed. Option A is boring to me,
The fonts on B are very easy to read. The green leaves give a message of growing your "green" money.
Thought the leaves were a nice touch
I like the drawings of the leaves.
I chose B because it was more appealing for the genre. The color scheme was very calming.
the cover is a little more peaceful and less urgent
The picture of the green leaf is pretty good
