Q: Is this a good idea? A twin set of bags that can be hung under a table tennis table at each end which will hold 20 balls each. This is so the players can simply reach into the bag to grab a ball after each game rather than picking up same ball each time.

Yes as long as its out of the way

Makes cleanup convenient.

A good idea? Yes. But there are plenty of substitutes and DIY options that I think actually /making/ this product is a bad idea.

This is a good idea but the hazard of loose balls under the feet of the players may not be a great idea. This idea would also help out the younger players that decide to play war instead of table tennis.

This is a good idea, although I think I have seen similar items made of mesh or net being sold currently.

Perhaps in a professional setting for a tournament but not for the average game. I also wouldn't be prone to change it because you shouldn't make the game easier..more skill involved playing with the same ball

Yes this seems like a useful idea for those who engage in table tennis.

I think it could be useful in a competition or outdoor setting where the ball might go wild and far. I'm not sure about getting a new one for each game but it would be handy to have to replace a lost ball.

This is a good idea. It would definitely make the games platy at a faster pace which would make it more fun. My only concern is that means there could be dozens of balls underfoot of the players playing.

Table Tennis Bat Bag Waterproof Ping Pong Paddle Bat for balls Can be hold 1 table tennis racket and 3 table tennis balls.

Yea I can see it being a good idea because the ball could fly off table so many times. It would be nice not to chase after it every time.

Yes, I think it would make playing alot more fun, if you didn't have to keep chasing down the same ball. You could just keep playing and then at the end of the game collect the balls and store in the bags.

Ping Pong Paddles, Balls, and ... If installed as a permanent net to a ping pong table.

This is a fantastic idea! Because when you play with just one ball and they go off the table it takes time away from the game to get it

i think it is a good idea that should come by default with the table you are buying.

i think this is a good idea but i dont think a specific bag needs to be made for this, a tennis player could use any bag to hold tennis balls

This seems like a good idea as long as it's not too cumbersome to reach into the bag to pick out a ball without dropping more balls on the floor or having trouble keeping the bag from tipping over.

I like this idea, it is innovative and helpful.

I think it is a good idea especially if you are a good player. The balls are so light, and they get dented and cracked. This way at the start of each game you start off fresh with a pristine ball. You could also use it to grab a new ball mid game too if one becomes damaged or goes out of bounds. Any dents or pings will make it bounce in a haphazard manner that isn't really fair to either player. I think this is a great idea.

I think it's a good idea and will save time which is a good thing.

Yes this sounds like a good idea. I hate chasing the balls. I would use this.

This sounds like a good idea but because I don't play table tennis I wouldn't buy it.

Of course it is as long as it doesn't get in the way of the players playing

If you are serious about table tennis then this is probably a great idea as I'm sure it gets annoying to have to stop and get your ball. The con to this is you need to pick up all the balls you used at the end.

Sure, it might be. If it were hanging up as an accessory when I was buying a new table, I would probably throw it in the cart. I am not sure that I would seek out something like that if I already had a table though.

Yes! This wold make the game so much easier! Granted, a pain to pick them all up at the end...

It isn't a bad idea. I just son't know if it's really been a problem that needs solving.

Yeah that seems very logical but selling a product like this seems futile why not hang a bag yourself?

No I tihnk they need the time to get the ball as it gives them time to think and rest thier arms for a second

Yes, but then you'll end up losing balls that have scattered around the room that you forgot where they went.

definitely useful for beginners who are practicing because most of their time is spent looking for their ball, this would give more playing/practice time

This a great idea as it will save lots of repetitive action that you spend while retrieving the balls. Also the momentum of the games will be unbroken as you just reach down and get another ball with ease.

Yes as long as it doesn't overhang at all so as to get in the way of play.

I think that it can be helpful to some people, especially kids, who may not like "chasing the ball" around and allows a faster turnaround of games. However, at the other end of the spectrum, I don't think that a lot of parents would buy it because it would mean that balls would probably end up all around the room and the kid's wouldn't clean it up after, meaning you'd be finding little balls all over the floor and it increases the likelihood that someone may slip on them and ultimately get hurt.

I think so because it is always a pain to find ping pong balls when one rolls under the couch.

yes nice idea . nylon table tennis racket buy TT balls

Yes, I think this is a good idea. It would be a useful product that would make playing table tennis easier. I honestly am surprised someone hasn't already come up with that. The only problem I see is making the bags far enough from the edge of the table that they wouldn't bump the knees of the person playing if they squatted down a bit while standing right at the edge of the table. Maybe the bags should be at the side of each end instead of at the actual end where the player stands.

Yes! It is such a pain to run around the room looking for the "lost" ball. This would make the game so much better. Great idea!

The idea seems sound but I think a bag will be something that may get in the way of the players during rapid movement. Their knees or legs will hit the bag and can possibly send balls flying all over the place. If the product had to be a bag, I'd recommend having it purposely placed on the sides of the table where not interaction is expected. Now I personally think a sliding drawer would be a better product to make as an attachment to the table. This way if the players lose a ball, they just pop open the drawer and get a replacement.

While it sounds like a good idea, there's probably a degree of danger to having multiple balls floating around the area where one plays table tennis. Likely someone will slip on a loose ball.

Yes. I believe this is a good idea. The bag should be made with a see-through or mesh material and a large enough opening, so that an adult can easily reach their hand into it and reach the bottom of the bag without getting their hand caught. However, maybe not such a good idea in a competition-type of environment due to the potential for cheating.

I feel like it would still be a hassle to go to the bag to get a ball. Feels a bit unnecessary.

FOR AN AVID PING PONG PLAYER THAT WOULD WORK OUT GREAT BECAUSE IT WOULD SAVE TIME AND EFFORT.

its good for speed ping pong not so much for competitive. cause the ball has to be checked by the ref. that being said I'm pretty sure this exist already it hos 2 paddles and 3 balls

Yes it is a good idea. Nice to just have the balls right there instead of chasing one around.

It might be but it must be priced very cheaply

This is a great idea. That's one of the biggest problems of table tennis- always having the balls go everywhere and having to stop the game to pick them up before resuming play.

Yes. It is a good idea.

I feel like it would look silly (like balls)

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

  • Assess how important stacking capability is relative to other functional benefits in various contexts such as home storage versus travel convenience.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
