As I did not find any marketplace or single aggregated portal with reviews for thousands of IT agencies worldwide, how about launching such marketplace for both - IT services providers (Agencies) and Service consumers (Customers)?

If there's a hole why not fill it and make money.
I think it's a great idea, but to become the leader or well known in this market I would think raising a lot of capital might be an issue. Getting some investments or startup money seems to be the main barrier. Also, are you sure there aren't things like this already? They may not be great, but I thought there were databases of IT providers, etc.
I BELIEVE THERE IS A NICHE FOR THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS IDEA. A LOT OF PEOPLE WORK WITHIN IT AND ITS BUSINESS SO THIS WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA TO GET REVIEWS.
aggregators are always a good thing. the problem that might be though, with the structure of data in the agencies. i would believe there is no standard template
I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA AS LONG AS IT IS EXECUTED PROPERLY
It would be very helpful because I would be able to select the right IT agency and save time and effort.
because I genuinely do think this is an excellent idea. A marketplace that provides both services would be very beneficial, even with potential challenges it may face.
it would tackle both audiences and thus reach more people
This seems like it will at least help get us closer to the goal
Seems like it would be a good idea. Seems like a Yelp for IT services.
Would bring both groups together to help each other. I would find it helpful if I needed that kind of information.
I think it is a good idea so both providers and consumers can be on the same page.
Collection of such data would be daunting, especially accurate and "vetted" data
Great idea but it would leave a lot of data to have to sift through. You would need a really comprehensive database.
I think this is a good idea for both IT service providers and consumers. I would be a nice way to have a central area for people to lookup reviews of providers. Right now there is now way to find reviews of providers. Also, it will be good for consumers that want to find a provider to use, for their needs.
I don't see anything wrong with this idea. I don't know much about these things, but I can't think of anything that would be a problem.
It may be easier to focus on providers as they will have to establish themselves in the market. Customers come and go.
It sounds like a good idea, as it could be a valuable forum for people in that field.
In business it almost always pays to find a need not being served and jump in there.
seems something new and interesting
I think this sounds like an interesting idea. I think it would be good to have customer reviews and the main challenge would probably be marketing the idea.
I have never seen it before, so go for it
i am not 100 percent sure what this means, but it seems like a decent idea
I think this could work if it's set up properly. It sounds like it would be a Yellow book or Yelp for IT service providers. I think the biggest challenge would be collecting all the information for the agencies and sorting it into easy to search categories. Consumers would want to be able to sort by country so they can find relevant information.
I feel that in the day of technology, if there isn't something like this somewhere, there is most likely a need for it, just that no one has put the effort into doing it. I feel the biggest challenge would be advertising and getting the word out that it is there, as well as how to establish it's legitimacy as a reputable site.
This would make life easier to both sides. The down side to this idea is that a lot of consumers are really bad at describing their tech problems. As a former IT person I know this first hand.
I think it might work.
I feel it would be an excellent idea, as it brings the providers and consumers into one website for them to interact with each other.
I think is an excellent idea not only for the agencies but the customers as well. The agencies would be able to promote their business through engaging with customers, reviews, and taking recommendations to heart. The customers can provided useful feedback, recommendations to potential customers, and areas of improvement. The challenges may include negative/unfair reviews, lack of agencies to review in particular areas, and the annoying bots.
There is a big demographic that would find this service useful! People love reviews and rely on them.
IT WAS EASY TO UNDERSTAND
I think it would be quite useful. Just culminating them all by the sheer amount that exist would be tough.
It would be great, there is not such thing, and you would be able to get different opinions and ideas. The only challenge I see it's getting the people to the site.
sounds better sounds bettersounds better
I think having an area for both would be excellent, I don't see any challenges that would be different than any business out there.

B Is Good
This is just so specialized. I cannot figure out how it would get marketed and if there is a real market for it in the first place. It seems too specialized and like it would be a difficult business to get off the ground
I think this idea would be challenging because it can be hard to meet the needs of both groups. If you have IT provider with a bad reputation, how would you get them to be a part of the community and balance consumer need.
Instead of asking this question here in Mturk among people, who aren't experts, do your homework. Go to Linkedin, find minimum 5 people from Agencies and 5 from Customers. Conduct interviews. Ask good questions. I believe concerns are: 1) countries and languages, 2) pricing, 3) trust. Just my 5 cents.
market for this is small and niche
very nice an the good
Right from the beginning, the obvious questions are who will assess each company and with what criteria?
Most worker will not be familiar with the terminology of both consumers and providers, so this would be challenging as an idea.
If you have a marketplace dedicated to providing reviews for both IT agencies and customers there will likely be a conflict of interest and a bias towards one of the two groups. This could result in a less satisfactory experience than if the portal was dedicated to just one group. By combining the two you are going to make a more mediocre experience for both.
I think the problem is that the rest of the world isn't educated enough to know what they are looking for. An average person wouldn't even know where to start looking for specific IT problems
How do you list these IT agencies. Do you list them based off of reviews? Will they pay to be ranked higher or be more visible to potential customers? Will these IT agencies simply use the portal as a means to advertise their firms and not really provide good service? Who vets the IT agencies? If a customer is unsatisfied, who is liable? Way too much risk to me.
It would be very difficult and time consuming to accumulate a large enough amount of data to be meaningful.
It could be a good idea but it would be so much information to wade through that it would discourage a lot of folks. So much so it would be too confusing.
It seems like some creative Googling would find this information just fine
Choice B - It is too easy to Google or ask Siri or Alexa or other search engine to locate what review for any company to be searched. Personally if there is no review of the company available on the web, I move on and continue searching or put feelers out on social media for recommendations. Choice A - The marketplace would be a good resource for someone dealing in this field on a daily basis but still too easy to ask for recommendations or to Google a search themselves.
