Which business name do you prefer for a business that provides IT guidance?
31 Responses to Option A
I prefer option A, I think Pathfinder is a great name for a company provided insight, help & guidance. They are providing a path for you in the IT world.
IT Pathfinder sounds like its targeted toward giving advice. New England Tech Insight sounds too regional.
I believe IT companies create a path for companies to follow. This makes great sense!
its easier to remember because it sounds like car
For a business that provides IT guidance I think Option A is perfect because "The IT Pathfinder" implies that this company will lead the way and provide guidance needed for whatever venture. The name is catchy and very relatable.
I am not a big New England fan but I do like the chowder. The IT Pathfinder sounds like it would help me with my tech issues.
pathfinder sounds more attractive to me
It sounds more universal and being IT guidance business, Pathfinder word make sense than option B
Option A is generic, but it sends a simple yet clear message. Option B is more complex and could be regionally limited. Customers would have a harder time understanding B if they are not technologically literate.
the reaosn i picked that is because the IT pathfinder is more business and it sounds better
Option B is a bit too wordy for my tastes and Option A is a lot more unique while still getting the point of the business across.
A is just more straightforward with IT right there in the title. I like the use of Pathfinder too, gives me the impression of guidance. In B, Tech is too broad a term, it could refer to any host of specialties.
Easy to remember, easy to say and write.
Option A describes the business more accurately. B sounds vague.
New England sounds too 'regional', this is more broad and global
i prefer a because it at least has the it in its name unlike the other option
This name just sounds cooler. Also, I think the phrase New England might make some people think of the NFL football team Patriots, which are widely hated by many people so might have some unconscious bias there.
The New England name makes me think its not in my area, and as a Southerner, do I really want to support this company?
The name makes the business seem to be very helpful.
I chose A because if the company expands it would be a more relatable name.
I chose A as "The IT Pathfinder" rolls of the tongue nicely. I fell option B makes it seem the company is limited to the east coast of the US.
I am drawn to panel A as it is "Non Regional" which means to me that it does not only cater to a small group of people but its reach could be worldwide. I would remember that name.
I don't really understand the meaning behind Option B because is it only for New England? I think Option A would appeal to more people.
B limits it to just New England, where as A is more inclusive.
I prefer the name in option A because it actually references the service of IT in the name. I feel like the other name could be used for so many other business ideas.
A is simple and easy to remember. It’s also clear on what they provide.
I dont like New England, and calling it that makes me not like the company
Nice name and it is self explanatory.
I think the 'pathfinder' is a nice way to say the company provides IT guidance. Also feels more memorable.
it suggest information technology and a way through it
Option A makes it clear what area the business specializes in (IT), and generally what it does (pathfinding, or guidance/navigation). It's not tied to any specific location, so I wouldn't feel the need to be located in the area in order to use their services. Option B sounds more like an east coast analytics business.

Sounds a lot more professional to me
I like B because I think the word insight sounds better for a name than pathfinder. That reminds me of an SUV.
A just sucks. It's trite and uninformative.
Since I'm from New England I think anything with the name attached to it means something to me, just like the Patriots.
I like tech insight. Insight means understanding to me. I think you do not even need the New England.
I like the New England aspect of the company which gives it a nice location and some property value to it. Option B with "New England Tech Insight" feels like the better choice here.
New England Tech Insight provides an easier to understand, clearer description of the services that the company provides. The IT Pathfinder is too vague. For these reasons, I selected Option B
Option A sounds like a car, while Option B sounds modern and advanced.
This one sounds more unique and memorable, and less generic.
I think that Option B is more accessible as a name to those unfamiliar with tech.
The name overall sounds better. Choice A reminds me a of the SUV from Nissan and not dealing with technology.
Option A is a little ambiguous as to what the business does.
this one seemed more specific of the brand
i like the design of this
The name is a lot more descriptive, "New England" being the location of the region for the business and "Tech Insight" is a lot more clear than "IT Pathfinder," which in itself does not really say what kind of path finding; is it help with getting into the IT industry? A pathfinder for certain how-to's? Etc.
I like this one a lot more because it shows the location of the company as well as using the word tech which lets me know right away what they do!
I chose B because it sounds the most professional to me.
It sounds like a more educated name and more trustworthy.
i think this option is more interesting and cool
