Imagine you are buying a probiotic meal topper for your dog that is filled with essential vitamins and minerals for good health as well as probiotics for digestive health. What name on the label of this product would you be most drawn to?
Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 33 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
B | 66% 33 votes |
C | 30% 15 votes |
A | 4% 2 votes |

I think this is a catching and interesting name that does a decent job of describing itself without being too formal sounding.
Option A sounds the best to me. It has enough of the probiotic aspect to make clear what the product is, but doesn't just say probiotic which is kind of generic.

It gets the idea across the best
probio-nutra sounds overly complicated
I chose option B as I like the term NurtiProbiotic.
I think that NutriProbiotic flows better when you are trying to say it.
They're honestly all equally forgettable, but I suppose B is the easiest to get through when reading it
B has a good sound to it. A Harder to understand. C I don't like the word "booster" in products.
I feel like NutriProbiotic is for one easier for more people to say. It is more memorable so that when you are out shopping you know the name. The name also kind of lets you know what you are buying.
I like B because it conveys that the probiotic is nutritious. Same for option A, nutrition is essential for pet and last is C since it is just a booster.
Option B. provides the clearest intention with just a name, you can tell it is probiotic and nutritious. Option A. is a little more ambiguous with choosing to shorten the words and ad an A over the I in Nutra. Option C. doesn't necessarily tell you what it does right off the bat, not every one is familiar with probiotics so the ProBio could mean many things.
Choice B - NutriProbiotic. This has what I am looking for in the name of the product. Choice C - ProBio-Booster. This has a confusing name and have to think what ProBio means but it has booster also which is what is wanted to help my dog. Choice A - ProBio-Nutra. Would have to really read the label for it to be revealed this is what I am searching for to help my dog's digestive health.
the ones that start with pro don't seem to roll off the tongue as easily.
For a probiotic meal topper for my dog, the name should be NutriProbiotic because that name is strong and gives me the sensation that it belongs to a reputable company that really wants to help my dog's digestive health.
Choice B is my number one choice because it is easy to understand and uses complete words. Choice C is my second choice because it makes the most sense. Choice A is my last choice because it sounds like a bunch of syllables put together, it does not sound like a name of anything.
The first one I chose sounds more like a brand
"Nutri" draws my attention because to me, it stands for nutritional and I already know that probiotics are used for digestive health and are natural. "ProBio" makes me think of top biology nutrition. A booster just makes me think of a boost in digestive health.
They all sound okay. But I voted with which would look best on the label.
I picked them bases on how generic they sound. Option C sounds the most generic, I wouldn't trust it. Option B and A sound less generic and option B sounds the most trust-worthy.
I like B as it spells out exactly what the product is
Choice B has a better flow to the name. Single, non hyphenated. I find this most attractiveChoice C is the next choice, it sounds OK but the hyphen kind of turns me away. Some people are likely attracted to the word booster though, gives a piece of mind.Choice A is last because of all things, the name reminds me of the giant rat called a, Nutria.
The names sound more fitting and flow better
I think B explains what the product is best. I think that A says it is a supplement and I don't understand what C is as a type of product.
It says probiotic which is what it is
I'm not crazy about my first choice, but it is the best of the three. Using the word probiotic in the name tells what the product actually is, so that would be less confusing for some people.
B sounds most in line with what I'd be looking for. A seems to also focus on nutrients. C is my last choice, it just doesn't sound like something I'd give to a dog. Booster makes me think caffeine or another stimulant.
These sounds the least weird and most normal in this order
A is least because it is confusing, would not know how to even say it, let alone know what it was. B seems to clearly display the features.
I chose B as my first option because it just looked the most appealing, honestly.
The one I ranked last is too trendy sounding. The one I chose first sounds best and has the actual thing in the name I'm adding to the food
I like that this name actually says it's a probiotic. For the others, it's not totally clear what the Pro stands for. Professional?
I think B resonates more with the overall message and product. It resonates that there are nutritious probiotics, for a healthy digestive system
B is memorable and elegant.
B is my first choice because its name most accurately reflects what the product is. C is 2nd because the name isn't as descriptive, but is better than A's.
The first name states explicitly what it is - a probiotic with nutrition. It doesn't have a fancy name so people will not have to guess at what it is for and what it does. The second option is also quite good at explaining what it is for.

the first two give somewhat of a picture of the product while the last is almost like another language
I like booster best, it is the most descriptive since it boosts the dogs immune system
more positive wording
Labeling it as a booster seems understandable and non-judgemental - you aren't telling me I'm doing a bad job of feeding my dog, just that there might be some nutritional gaps.
Option C has a nice flow that is memorable and would be easy to see on a label while shopping. ProBio-Booster just has that ring to it while clearly getting across the main concept of the product. Option B, NutriProbiotic, is also a solid choice, but a little clunky to look out and say, frankly. It feels a little too long and too generic. Option A, Probio-Nutra, just falls flat. There's no flare and it doesn't really speak to the idea of the product at all.
The first name that I chose sounds like it is an expert food topper. It sounds trustworthy and as if there would be a great benefit to adding this to my dogs meals. It sounds nutritious and healthy. My elderly dogs would definitely benefit from a healthy meal topper that has a probiotic formula. My younger dogs would benefit from the vitamins included. The word booster suggests that it is a topping or an add on so that is the best name for it.
I choose probio booster cause I use it all the time I think it's a better choice
The first one just sounds hip. The second one as well. I don't like the word probiotic. It is over used and silly. I like the mixture of words, it is creative.
Like probio-booster the best. Still sounds like a probiotics and a booster for my aging dog. The other 2 sound weird and I do not like them that much. I chose option B over A because it at least had probiotic in the name.
Looking for a name that is not silly and had a professional sound. This order sounded the best in my opinion and probably the easiest to remember.
I like the booster
I like probio booster better because it sounds like it will do a good job of boosting their health by having more vitamins and minerals. Second best is NutriProbiotic because this product is used to increase their intake of probiotics. I don't really like probio nutra at all. That's too much combinations of words and it just doesn't sound as direct.
I think the idea of a booster is a lot better.
C with the name booster on the label I feel it has the extra vitamins and minerals I am looking for to feed my pup. Booster feels like just want it is supposed to be a boost of extra vitamins and mineral for a healthy dose to give to pup.
I like the ProBio in the beginning I know what that is right away
