What do you think of the brand name MyShittyBackpack™ for high quality hemp backpacks?
50 Responses
Its too immature for my tastes
It's funny but I don't think it conveys the high quality part
it sounds like a great product - however, I would not take the product seriously because the name sounds like a joke.
It's a terrible name - I wouldn't buy it! Who would? Very unattractive name. At least make it clever or something if you want to be funny
Hemp isn't poop so I don't get it.
It is a shitty name and immature
it made me laugh, yes, but i don't really understand how the word shitty goes with high quality. just seems like a counterproductive product, since it's high quality and it is, in fact, not shitty at all. might give a bad impression of how the item actually is.
I think it's such a funny name that people definitely won't forget about it!
This must be a joke. Why or who would buy something with the word shitty in it? I like the idea of a solid hemp backpack but that's just being ridiculous.
I like the name.
It's okay. I'm not too big on shock-factor names like this, but I bet the kids will love it.
I would not even look at a product with this name because I would not trust it. You can say it is high quality but the name says it all.
I like the name because it is eye-catching and descriptive.
It really doesn't scream quality. If it's high quality hemp, I'd expect a brand name more geared towards hemp or focusing on the quality. Frankly, this name sounds like the quality would be awful/crappy.
It sure isn't a classy name. It sounds very low-life and excuse the pun - crappy.
I find the name very interesting, but I do not know if others would buy it.
I think shitty is awful, I get the joke but no, I don't think this would appeal to people overall and would provide you with a very limited market share.
It's a cute and funny name, but backpacks are expensive. I'm not sure I would take the brand seriously enough to invest in the product.
I hate it because the profanity is unnecessary
I don't think many people will buy it since the word shitty is in the brand name, it doesn't make me think high quality anything.
I think its hilarious bust probably wont sell to kids or parents. College kids however will jump n it.
Great name that would get a lot of attention from the younger crowds, but will also cause a lot of negative attention from older generations and those without senses of humor. Definitely an attention grabbing name and makes me interested in the product.
I don’t think it would sell well.
I don't like the name whatsoever
Shitty would infer bad. I wouldn't think high quality when it comes to Shitty
The name for this backpack is awful. I have no idea if it supposed to be some kind of inside joke regarding hemp but if it is I do not get it and I would imagine the vast majority of consumers would not either. It just makes me think that the backpack is shitty and that the brand does not care about its image at all. Maybe they are trying to be meta and having the product be the oppose of what you would think based on the name but I do not think that will get the average person to buy the product after hearing/seeing the name.
I think it's awful, who would want to buy that?
i dont love it. i think it may offend a lot of people and is distasteful.
I think it is a very clever and interesting name for it. I think it will be very popular and sell very well.
I have to say that I really like that name. I think that it a great idea and would very much sell.
Vulgar and unnecessary. Why do this to an already marginalized backpack (hemp)?
It is hard to see a company with such a name for one of its products as the one above as a professional company, in my opinion, and not being able to see it this way makes it hard to think that the product would be of high quality. It is quite humorous, but the name does not say "high quality" to me.
Um, it's horrible. I'm not into hemp, so I don't know if shitty has some kind of other context, but it makes it seem like it is a garbage backpack
It will get a lot of attention and purchases. I personally am indifferent to the name.
Very poor choice of words although somewhat humorous.
I think "MyShittyBackpack" has a fairly limited appeal as far as demographics. I think it's a bit too crude and immature for anyone outside of freshman year college students to use. I know there is another bag company called "nutsac" that is fairly popular, but that name is not as try-hard as "MyShittyBackpack".
I think it's trying too hard.
I don't particularly care for the profanity in the product name. I imagine this could be sold in retail stores next to children's backpacks and I don't know how I feel about that. I think some sort of play on the "hemp" component of the material might be better.
It would probably be okay if the brand was targeting millennial consumers. However, it might limit the market that they could offer to.
look really trusty and professional
it a funny name and id be interested in the backpack
The name does not inspire thoughts of high quality.
not a very nice name.
it's shitty, so no
I don't like the name. Especially when children and young people will repeat the name.
The brand name certainly does not evoke a sense of quality. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I think it is an okay name. Obviously it's humorous, which would likely appeal to many people in the target demographics. However, calling the product "shitty," even jokingly, could have some unwanted effects. Some people might associate it with low quality, even if it's just unconscious.
its just a horrible name for a back pack or just about anything
This name doesn't really work. I understand that those people attracted to products like this may be considered potheads with bad taste. However, the name isn't very suitable. But then again, I am far from the target audience group for such an item.
Hemp frays and looks shitty though I think the name is absolute crap no pun intended.
