What is the best name for a IT consulting business?
Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
B | 54% 27 votes |
C | 32% 16 votes |
A | 8% 4 votes |
D | 6% 3 votes |

Patternlift seems like they are pulling something out of a bunch of chaos and making sense of it. Loudlogic seems like they are just uncovering what was always obviously there, but only they no it. Bracketmachine honestly doesn't seem to mean much.
I like the order on this one.
I find that Patternlift is the best because the name suggests that this IT consulting business can help you get out of a bad pattern that you are in. Thoughtloop is my number two because it sounds intelligent and convincing, and for number three, both Bracketmachine and Loudlogic are bad, but Bracketmachine wins out because at least it has the word machine in it, whereas Loudlogic makes no sense to me, logic is not loud.
I didn't really like any of them. This is the order they were least bad. A - slightly interesting, B kinda weird. C makes little sense

i feel this is the most unique that also fits what the company does
I picked the options that reminded me of brainstorming
D sounds like it's about sports betting. The others aren't particularly good either. It seems like someone is desperate for a name and the good ones are taken, so let's just throw words together.
It seems to fit the type of business
"Thoughloop" denotes a circular pattern of thinking, like it will "come back" to its original purpose.
Out of all of them, I think Thoughloop sounds the best and doesn't just seem like two words thrown together. It would be my 100% choice out of all of them.
I prefer the shorter and more memorable names. Some of these names are just too many syllables in my opinion.
I like loop in the name makes me think it is a cutting edge loop!
My top choice sounds like a company can reach our for advice and consulting.
I went by the ones with the best name to it.
Option B matches best with what the company is and what it does. I also think it has the most appeal to it and would make people more interested in learning more about it. Option B is also the strongest name and would make a wider audience of people believe in the company and be more willing to invest time learning more about it.
Best meshing of concept and design ideation
I chose by which Id choose to work with first.
Thoughtloop sounds the most interesting and inviting. Patternlift is difficult to figure out what the company does but more catchy than other namesloudlogic i like the alliteration, but find it hard to grasp what the company would do
All three are very unconventional names, but this one stood out to me as different.
Thoughtloop sound more like an IT company name than the rest for example hyperloop, I have seen IT companies with the name "Logic" behind it, patternlift is far more professional and better than bracketmachine.
I like B because it is different and makes you think about the company.
I choose B then C because these names are descriptive and appealing.
These choices seem more IT focused overall and in descending order
Thoughtloop really caught my eye- its easy to say and meaningful.
I really don't like any of them.
If I were looking for an IT consulting business I would go based on this order of names. These are the ones that really stick out.
I liked thoughtloop the best because it is consulting and they help provide thoughts and advice.
I like thoughtloop the best, its catchy and sounds intelligent.
Thoughtloop rolls of the tongue best and seems relevant - loudlogic is a great name but seems a bit unfit for IT.
Thoughtloop sounds full of ideas and Loudlogic sounds related to IT but I'm not sure about the loud. Patternlift seems more fitting than Bracketmachine because I do not associate IT with the physical PCs as much as the digital use of them.
I went with thoughtloop because it is the one that makes the most sense.

These are the orders I like
To be honest, most of the names don't make any sense and really don't signify IT consulting. Loudlogic might be the only one, the others were forced choices
Just sounds better and a few of the other did not make much sense.
The company name made me want to find out more about the company.
My 2nd and 3rd choice dont make me think of IT at all. The names really dont sound related to IT
I chose option C first because I like that name the most, it really says a lot in the way of making it sound like you'll get logical answers and they're not afraid to tell you the answers. Second, I chose option B, because it sounds like a company that could really help you when you need it or have questions. Third I chose option D, because it sounds like a company that specializes in IT consulting so it's fitting.
None of them honestly sound like IT companies...
weak on the left
Loudlogic sounds pretty cool for a IT company
Logic implies you know what you are doing. Secondly, pattern means structure.
I like C as it sounds aggressive and bold. B is ok and sounds smart. D and C were confusing.
I don't really get any of the names but the first one stands out the most.
I think the name should include the word "Logic".
I like the Loudlogic name the best.
Picked the ones I liked best
Options C and B sound very in depth and professional.

They seem more professional
honestly, none of these names really tell me anything about the business, but I tried to pick the ones i liked best
I chose what I thought was most logical for an IT consulting business although I don't feel they are great choices based on the information given
