Which brand name do you like the best for a type of household tape that is easily removable? The tape is similar in feel to Duct Tape, but not permanent and is meant for lightly holding items on walls, windows, doors and appliances.
Option D won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
D | 54% 27 votes |
B | 12% 6 votes |
F | 12% 6 votes |
E | 10% 5 votes |
A | 6% 3 votes |

I like A the most because it shows a high sense and degree of fidelity and trust in it.
I like option A the best. It is easy to remember and say.
for this kind of household tape that is easily removable i would prefer option A name it feels like it would fit with the product they are trying to sell

I think wussy tape is the perfect name for this product, and just the name alone would be almost enough to tell you exactly what it is and how the tape works, its wussy so its temporary and that is a super cute name for it!
I think Option A is humorous and would be rememberable compared to the other names
After carefully studying and comparing all six names for easily removable household tape displayed above, I selected Option B as my first preference and the one that I would click on to learn more about. I felt that WUZZY TAPE has a certain special "ring" to it that makes me curious about the product. Option A was my second choice followed by Option C, Option D, Option E and finally Option F with all six rankings based on my own personal opinion of the relative attractiveness of each product name.
I prefer Option B because who does not want to be associated with wussies?
Option B is my first choice for the Duct Tape that lightly holds items because Wussy Tape is similar to the word was which means the tape was here.Second choice is option F because Beetle Tape gives an image of moving which most Beetle are moving and not permanently fixedThird choice is option A because Gal Tape gives the impression that even a Gal can handle this tapeFourth choice is option E because Betty Tape gives impression that women can easily use this tape for many things.Fifth choice is option D because Koala Tape gives the impression of something strong whereas it should express something that it is removableSixth choice is option C because Rosey Tape gives impression of no relations to the tape.
I like this name the best because it explains that it isn't too strong and won't last forever.

I prefer option C because it is cute and fun. It’s easy to pronounce and remember.
The use of the word rose in rosey makes me think of a gentle application.
I like option C the best because the name is kind of cute, same with option D as well. They seem friendlier. Option B is a little confusing to me and I don't really like it. It kind of sounds insulting a little bit.

D is best as it looks strong and reliable
I think that D would be most fitting, it makes me think of the grip that a Koala might have in comparison with the tape. Otherwise I don't think any of the others are very fitting.
I will be honest and say that I don't like any of htem. None of them roll off the tongue.
I find E and A to be rather sexist. I don't like B at all. D is a cute name.
OK "Wussy Tape" made me laugh and I'd totally buy that myself but I imagine others -- especially other women -- might not find it as funny. I like Koala Tape best because it sounds the cutest, which I guess is appropriate for "Duck" (yes I know it's not Duck but there is a Duck brand...) tape but with a softer side. The one I like least is Gal Tape, men and women both could need this product and as a woman I actually avoid products that are marketed specifically toward women in this way, give me the MAN TAPE any day!
I rated them in order of wide spread appeal, but I think other options are required. Pick a name that actually describes the product like easy clean tape, or off quick tape.
Koala Tape sounds the best because it is a cute name and they are known for clinging to trees. out of all the options that is the one that associates the best with tape.
honestly only like D the other ones are not very attractive for tape, they should be a little more manly like its durable tape.
I chose option D because I think "Koala Tape" suggest strength because of the strong grip of koalas. I think that his would be a good name for a duct tape brand.
I like my first choice as a name of an animal is cute. I don't like the name of a bug. I don't get or appreciate the association for the feminine names.
I don't really feel that any of these names are apropos, and I really dislike "Wussy Tape" - which is pejorative - and any of the names that seem to be referring to feminine terms, because I doubt that women would appreciate being associated with a non-permanent, weak tape substance. "Koala Tape" doesn't really make sense, but it's the least problematic of the options presented.
Koala has a nice connotation. Beetle and Gal are just okay. Rosey and Betty are a bit too specific. Wussey is just not nice!
My rankings are based on the product title I think would be best for this type of product.
I really like Koala tape because I think of a koala hugging a tree and coming off easily. Option B is just terrible...I hate the name.
The weaker names let’s you know what the product is like
As someone who is trying to find exactly this product right now to hang up Halloween decorations without damaging my newly painted walls, I definitely like Koala the best. As a cute animal that is associated with clinging to trees or their mothers, it is a pleasant image with a positive vibe that correlates well with the product use. After that, Beetle and Rosey are memorable without any negative connotations. I had mixed feelings about Betty and Gal as they are names for women and customers may not like that a person is being associated with utility tape unless there is a charming backstory to the product which is where the name comes from. Wussy sounds too much like an impolite word - NO on that one.
Koala tape sounds adorable. Option A, B, C and E are too girly.
I like the best option D because it is more fitting to the concept as koalas cling to trees and adhere to them stably but flexibly at the same time, also, this name gives a warm and positive feeling.
Wussy tape sounds weird.
I really like option D, Koala Tape. It makes me think of the koala animal, and I think they are so cute. So, I feel like that is a good association to have with the tape being mentioned.
B sounded totally ineffective to me. I thought F sounded off putting since I have an insect phobia. A and E similarly felt too feminine to be effective. D was the most impactful and whimsical.
Option D and F are the only two I would acknowledge as an option - D was better than F - the remaining names I personally find offensive and would not acknowledge or purchase.
None of them makes you think removable tape. But they all are great names
If I could have only chosen beetle and koala, I would have. I really do not like the other names at all. They don't really make sense. Koala tape is cool because I think of strong hold but soft and gentle. Kind of like the Koala. I know they aren't gentle and quite strong and deadly but I think it fits the theme of the brand. Beetle tape is cool because don't bugs stick to walls with some time of magic sticky legs. And they leave no trace of such.
I prefer this name and think that it is the most user friendly. I like it because koalas can be removed from a bamboo tree if needed and just like this tape can be removed.
I like choice D the best because the name is super cute.
I only really like my first choice (D: Koala Tape). It makes me think of Koalas and how the hug tree branches. Or how baby koalas hug their parents.

Betty Tape is the name I like the best for a type of household tape that is easily removable because it is captivating.
I think y'all can do better. I chose E, Betty Tape, but I don't love that name. I do love this product, and would loved to have had it when I was in college, and also when I had young kids at home, to display their art. Thanks!
E I like the name Betty. A Gal is fairly appropriate. C Rosey reminds me of Rosie the Riveter, which sounds strong but feminine. F is silly. D is off base. B is vulgar.
Option E, sounded the best. Followed by option C. Option D and A, was okay. Option F, wasn't my favorite, because it seemed liked it could had used a different animal/bug. Option B, I didn't liked the sound of the name. It just sounded dumb and not a big fan of the word 'wussy.'
I'm not a fan of any of the tape names besides E. E sounds somewhat unique, but the others sound way too much like Gorilla Glue or "Duck Tape" (Duct tape). D and F are somewhat blatant in their similarity which gives them an acceptable cheesiness, but the other options are like more bland versions of those.

I went with what name I thought fit the product the best. I do not like the one wussy tape because it sounds like cheap tape.
Wussy tape indicates it is weak, which is never the intention of any tape product. Beetle tape however indicates a certain strength and quality of lightness
This sounds good and memorable. I would chose this one to buy. It sounds cool. Thank you.
I like the animal names best. I don't like the "girly" or "wussy" names.
Frankly - none of these are very good- especially not the ones that seem to be equating "weak" with the feminine gender. I'd keep brainstorming...
The choice F sounds very gentle and fluttering. If it is used as a brand name it is literally explaining the work of the tape. The choice C is also good because rosey explains its gentle nature of the tape. The choice E is Betty tape is an okay name and it reminds me of betty white who is a strong woman. It might not have the same relation to the tape but it works well. The choice D is Koala and given that the animal is slow and holds on to the trees and branches, means that the brand is being represented by through the name. The brand tape hold on but not for long. The choice A and B sounds sexist and i would not want to be associated with the brand.
