Which name do you prefer for a business that provides dog/pet sitting?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 28 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
C | 56% 28 votes |
A | 22% 11 votes |
B | 22% 11 votes |

I would never know what B is for, so I put it last. A is better than C because dogs are the primary thing that are pet sat.
A seems the most specific with what the business will offer, followed by C. B does not sound pet sitting related.
Bird's Dog Sitting gets across that it does sitting for animals like dogs. Bird's God Sitting sounds like it might be for just bird sitting. The Bird House would definitely seem like a sitter only for birds.
Only the first two have any semblance of saying it is a dog sitting service.
Option A is the most enticing and the most memorable of these three options. I would be far more likely to utilize the service with the name from option A than from options C or B.
I don't really get "dog" from either B or C. So I went with A as my top choice. But I do like how "The Bird House" sounds.
Option A sounds more natural then Option B makes no sense, then Option C makes no further sense either.
I like this one the best. I think the name is great and would be a great name for a company
I chose A because of the way they used the word dog in it.
Birds dos sitting is more explanatory and to the point
The simple names that don't hide the purposes for the service or are essentially abstract are the most ideal versions. Overall, I find these options mostly suitable and the brand names somewhat recognizable.

Any of these are fine, really, but I think the Bird House is clever and cute.
Option B is a clever play on a known phrase. Option C and A are about the same.
I liked B because it seemed unique, fun, and memorable. Otherwise I thought C was better than A because it seemed more general.
I made my choices this way because the birdhouse sounds unique and not common and cookie cutter like the other options. I feel that the other 2 are decent, but the dog sitter made it sound like it was just a dog sitting only and not all pets.
I feel option B is the best of the lot. It resonated with me from the get-go.
I suppose I would choose "B" The Bird House. I would assume the owner's last name would be Bird and people would pet sit at his house.
B works the best for me, and then the other ones with "sitting" are kind of drab and predictable as to what they offer. Do something different!
While Option C and A are very specific to letting you know that this is a pet sitting service, I find The Bird House charming since you can always just include the tag line to have the pet sitting information as a secondary informational liner. I feel like it's more unique and more though was put into the name overall. It sort of implies that your house is welcome to all pets and I like the feeling that conveys. I chose option second because it seems this service is not just limited to dogs, therefore Pet Sitting feels more appropriate than just Dog Sitting. This is also the reason why I chose option a last since it just says dog sitting. I myself have a cat and if I saw option a I would naturally assume the services would not apply to me since I do not have a dog.
These names are all going to be confusing. B is the best though because it is simple. C makes it clearer but more confusing. A is the most confusing having two animal names next to each other.
Option B is clever. Option C is plain but inclusive. Option A is plain but doesn't signify that other pets can be watched as well.
are you looking after birds or dogs or both? i like the first one but moreso if it's an establishment where the people and pets come to you. then it makes more sense. if not, then number 2 seems to include more animals, unless, of course, if you are exclusive to dogs.

Bird's Pet Sitting sounds more pleasant and sounds like it's open to a wider variety of animals.
I like the more straightforward names and prefer "pet" to "dog" just because I like that it offers more possibilities. The Bird House is cute, but doesn't convey enough information at first glance.
I chose panel C. I think that "Bird's Pet Sitting" implies that is would do more than sit for a dog.
Option C lets me know they do pet sitting for more than just dogs.
I prefer option C because I would know at a glance that they would sit my cat also, and not just my dogs. That said option A is OK, but option B wouldn't clue me in at all as to what it is.
I like birds pet setting as a name for this service along with the bird house for an easy to remember company name
I think option C is the most straight forward and easiest to understand since it says pet sitting
bird house sounds like it's for birds, so it's last. Pet sitting is more accurate, not just for dogs, so it's best.
I like C the most because this is the only option that makes it apparent that this is a pet sitting company
C describes the business and does not limit it to dogs. B gives no indication of what the service is.
A says "pet sitting" so it clearly states what the business is. A just has dog, which is limiting to a specific type of pet owner. B could be any type of business.
I like that this name at least implies that they watch all kinds of different pets. It's not as clear looking at the other names.
C is my top choice because it's more inclusive to all pets. A is my second choice because it makes you assume this business only pet sits dogs. B is my last choice because I immediately thought of a bird store, and not of a business that has anything to do with other animals besides birds let alone pet sitting.
I prefer C because it makes it clear that the business is for all types of pets, not only dogs. A is better than B because B doesn't make it clear what the business does. "The Bird House" sounds more like a bird feeder business than a pet-sitting business to me.
I like Option C because it keeps the business open to lots of pets. Potential customers would be more likely to contact for pet services other than dogs.
Option C let's people know that all types of pets are cared for. Option B is the most creative name, but it's hard for a customer to tell what service is offered based on the business name, which is why I put it in second place. Option A makes it seem like only dogs are cared for, when other pets are as well.
Option C, sounded a bit more general which I liked. Option A, limits it to really just dogs. Option B, just sounded too vague to know it was related to pet sitting which is why I ranked it last.
The first one is easy to say and sounds cute for a pet sitting business. Second favorite is A as it spells it out and is simple tp remember.
It is best to not be specific with the animal so that they know it is for various pets and not just one.
Option C makes it clear it's not just for dogs, like Option A makes it sound. Option B can be confused with a similar saying, implying disorganized or messy.
I like C as it encompasses all pets and its easy to read. The other 2 are very generic and I don't think explain enough.
C sounds like they do multiple types of animals, A implies it is just for Dogs, and B makes no sense to me
I like option C the best since it includes all pets and clearly says what it is. Option A is pretty good because it says what it is, but doesn't include all pets. Option B is a cool name but I would think it just has to do with birds.
It is best to make it clear what the business does in the name. B sounds like it only has something to do with birds. It only works if your customers really know what the company is, but it is a bad idea for getting new.
I would need to see in the name that the company does pet sitting for me to consider them.
Bird's Pet sitting because it encompasses all types of pets.
Option A is the best because it has the words Pet sitting so that people know that it has that service.
Option C best represents the company.
