Which name do you trust more to increase web site sales, renewals, inquiries through social proof and popup notifications?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
C | 46% 23 votes | 54% 27 votes +4 |
B | 30% 15 votes | 32% 16 votes +1 |
D | 14% 7 votes | 14% 7 votes |
A | 10% 5 votes | Eliminated 5 votes reassigned |

Both PathWise and PageBoost sound like tech savvy names. Tectonic sounds old-fashioned to me, and Spark is just a nothing.
PathWise I think is the best option because it conveys what the company is doing without coming right out and saying it. It's creating an easier and smarter path for people to come to the website or engage with it on social media. Spark is also a good name because it is short but also descriptive. It will help spark or boost engagement with customers. Page boost is the third choice because it's a little too on the nose for me.
"PathWise" has a nice professional sound. It sounds like they know what they are doing and i have a lot of confidence in them doing a good job. C "Spark" also sounds like a company that does a good job or has some kind of special technology that no one else has. B "PageBoost" is a little plain or generic but it still sounds competent and professional. They might be kind of boring but they get the job done.
The word "Wise" as part of "PathWise" in Option A gives off an authoritative feel, followed by Spark in Option C, which sounds like a catchy, modern-day company. Option B is simply better than Option D.
PathWise has the smartest sounding name. It sounds reliable and professional. It used two words which when combined form a cohesive goal.

The name seems to speak to the reason for the service.
The first two sound more like what they are doing, and sound strong and easy to remember.
PageBoost I think hands down is the best name, way above the other two I picked. It just seems to convey the goal of the service the most. Pathwise was my second choice, mostly because I thought it sounded nice and memorable, but I don't think it really conveys the purpose too much, but I think it could be associated with service pretty easily if it becomes well known. Spark is pretty similar to pathwise, but I thought overall sounded more generic, so I put that third. I still liked it more than Tectonic however.
i only really like the name pageboost i dont like the rest of the names
I like option B the most because it is the most clear name as to what it is trying to do. Pathwise also provides some description of the page does as well. Finally, choice D seemed like the most reliable name to me of the remaining choices.
I feel option B was the most clear as to what it did. Options C and A were catchy but still had a vague sense of what they do. I didn't feel like option D was clear at all.
I love option B pageboost. It seems to say what it is about and the name coveys the meaning as well. Spark seems like it can give your page a spark and increase traffic.
I chose B because PageBoost sounds the most connecting here to the description. It sounds like a name that really shows that the business is here to help boost web sales and renewals versus the other names. Option A isn't too bad in that it intrigues users into thinking the business has something to do with pathing and websites although isn't direct. Option C is a bit too abstract in terms of relating to the name but at least sounds like an interesting name overall to create interest around. Option D however is the weakest as it doesn't spark much interest just in terms of a name and doesn't connect at all to the description.
B just seems quite literal... the term boost also seems quite positive. Option D has a gravity and depth, seeming to suggest the world can be changed, literally by making Olympian changes like the shifting of continental plates. Option A suggests that things are interconnected and that it's about connecting the dots to achieve an objective; there also seems to be a suggestion that the company itself reveals a path to wisdom; however, the name doesn't seem to have any tonal qualities, falls flat in the mouth.
The name describes the product. It's simple and easy to remember, which is also a big deal. Tectonic, the second choice, is clever because of the play on geography, but it's not necessarily true that everyone will catch the reference.
I prefer choice B out of the three. The name to me would kind of say it all, it describes very well what the site is supposed to do. Choice C sounds pretty good as well, with the name spark implying that it could be the "spark" that increases your sales and inquiries.
Pageboost sounds the best since the name implies it will boost your page. Spark and Pathwise both have interesting names so that was a toss up. Tectonic sounds like something to do with earthquakes, so that was left out.
Option B is the most descriptive name mentioning "page" and "boost" in the name. I know what that company is going to do for me. Also Option B is an active name. Option C is also an active name "spark" but the name is not clear on what is being "sparked." Option A is the worst name IMHO leaving Option D as the third choice.
I trust this name more to increase website sales, renewals, inquiries through social proof and popup notifications because it sounds more professional and essentially states its purpose.
This choice makes me most interested in following up and finding ways to improve my web sales and such

I like these best in this order.
Spark is the only one that really stood out, others dont even seem like they apply
it has a simple but powerful title. very catchy
I liked the names I choose, I felt they made the most sense for what you were asking
Spark has a very unique name to it, sounds original and trendy. It rolls off the tongue easily, and would have the most potential to be a household name affiliated with a service.
Spark makes me think that the service will help spark people's interest.
I think Option C is clever, simple and would be a great name for this subject. The others are far off in quality. Option A and D are good names but I don't feel explain what the service is quite as well as Option C. There's a spontaneity and quickness to Option C that works really well for this type of service. Option B sounds like a scam service. Something cheap and potentially a risk. I wouldn't trust anything with a name like that.
these three have the catchy sound of sales and boosting
I liked the names best. There was no other information to base my choice on.
I like spark the best because it often associates with lighting that fire under you to get yourself moving forward. I also like pageboost because the words sound uplifting.
I selected options that seemed more unique and creative.
I chose option C. I think that "Spark" is something I would remember.
The firs 2 choices fit well in my opinion. They relate to the product and are just good overall.
Spark comes before a flame. I like that the name implies instigation.
Spark and Tectonic both sound modern and tech-y. PathWise is sort of similar but not as strong in this regard. I didn't choose PageBoost because, while it does have the most descriptive name, it sounds like something out of the early 2000s.
These options are kind of informative of what the service does and are easy to say and remember.
I picked these names because they seem the most interesting to me and I feel that are good indicators as to what the what the product would do. I also feel these are neat names for a product and would be easy to remember. The name I did not select, doesn't remind me of anything involved with the web.
Spark seems like it would be a very attractive name
C is catchy.
Verbs like Spark are a great way to convey that they are generating or "boosting" something, and Tectonic is similar, as it conveys information that something is groundbreaking. PageBoost is alright, but I prefer the first two options the most.
Spark in option C is the strongest sounding option. I like PageBoost as well. I would stick with Spark as that feels like it would be a good way to increase sales, renewals, and social media popularity.
I rated the names based on how they looked and the most logical sense they made based on the criteria.
C because it is one word

I just happen to like those particular names for the thing. In that particular order of course
tectonic is the most memorable and unique name, i would go with that
Tectonic sounds the most feasible name out of all the other options.
tHEY ALL SOUND THE SAME LEVEL OF TRUSTWORTINESS TO ME
I like the simple, one word names like tectonic and spark. These illicit a sense of motion in my head when I read them. I picture the service using this name to be one that would actively drawn in customers in increase overall sales and customer growth.
All of them are actually pretty decent. However, the ones i have picked are interesting.
I like Option D the most because the name sounds unique. As long as you can market it well, it should be really good. Option B comes close as the name is pretty self explanatory which I like. Option A sounds good and it also sounds really trustworthy. However, I still think that Option D is the best Option out of the three.
