Which store name is more appealing for an online ecom store for pet owners?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 3 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3 |
---|---|---|---|
C | 42% 21 votes | 42% 21 votes | 54% 27 votes +6 |
D | 34% 17 votes | 38% 19 votes +2 | 46% 23 votes +4 |
A | 14% 7 votes | 20% 10 votes +3 | Eliminated 10 votes reassigned |
B | 10% 5 votes | Eliminated 5 votes reassigned |

They are all cute but for some reason PawLot sticks out from the group
Pawlot is the most descriptive of what the store actually is. Cushypaw makes me think of slippers for pets. Pawopolis is a weird sounding name.
Pawlot actually sounds like a retail destination. Option C is the best of the rest but is too odd of a word combination to be catchy. Option D sounds less pet related and makes me think more of a marijuana dispensary rather than a pet site.
choices based on what rolls of the tongue easier.
Pawlot is a play on similar sounding stores (like Big Lots) but emphasizes the service to pets with the Paw. This brings in connotations of a business. Pawopolis doesn't necessarily bring to mind a store, but it does sound nice. PawMaw has rhyming in the word, but it isn't clear that this is a store, and a stretch to think it is a store for pets. It could be just a gibberish word or it could be a foreign word.
My choices reflect my favorite play on words that remind me most of the description and would be easy to pronounce.
A was the best to me.

Honestly all of these are awful but "opolis" at the end would be the least interesting
I chose by when a viewer saw the names, which they would select first to view the website.
Option B was the better choice in my opinion because it catches the attention of pet owners. It sounds like a mall for pets, which would be adorable within itself. Option D was then my second option, CushyPaw sounds adorable. Especially for cat owners. Option A was my final choice, it sounds like it would be a slightly advanced version of a PetSmart. Option C was not one of my choices, it seemed too far fetched and not something that would catch the attention of anyone.
I like the first one. It sounds interesting
When I think of online stores, I prefer names that are short and easy to remember. I also prefer a URL that is easy to type. I ranked my choices based off of this reasoning.

These are the cuter names
I really only like the first choice. I think it sounds cute and fun, but the others just don't have that "ring" to them that make them interesting.
I could see C being used with some fun superhero marketing, given how popular superheros are now. It seems a little awkward to say though, I might change it to Pawtopolis.
I like Cushy Paw the best, it conveys a sense of elegance and glam that you want for your beloved pet. Pawopolis is cute too, but it's a mouthful to say and write.
These are the stores our most appealingAnd the order I perfered.
My choice sounds like a large store with alot of choices and variety
PawOpolis flows really well. I dislike all of the other names, to be honest. PawMaw sounds like Pall Mall -- the cigarettes. Really unappealing to a lot of people.
I chose C first, because I think it gives the impression of a big pet store with a lot of options. I chose B next, because the rhyming is cute. I picked A over D for third, because I think "lot" gives more of an impression of a store, while "CushyPaw" sounds like an individual product.
C sounds like an animal city where you would get anything you'd want for your pet. D implies good products for your pet. A implies a big selection. PawMaw sounds like a weird colloquialism
Picked the three I liked the most
I think option C is the most creative and attractive name of all the choices
pawopolis is cute
Pawopolis has a catchy rhythm and suggests that there is a broad and large supply of pet products available. CushyPaw is a cute name and suggests caring and a light-hearted approach to pet based products and services. Pawlot is suggestive of pet products and brings an image of discount products. PawMaw feels old fashioned and dowdy.
I thought that the pun in C was the beat and most memorable. A still sounded like a store name, but I don't get how the other 2 choices relate to a store.
C is my favorite because it connotes a city the size of a metropolis with choices and products to explore for my pets.
way beetter ddesign
pawopolis appeals to all types of pets and seems to be a capital of where to purchase pet items. Pawlot is a cute & memorable name. CushyPaw indicates you will find glam items there. The first choice seems to encompass all of the others without being about only one thing.
Pawopolis sounds cute and creative! I imagine a puppy or kitty city
each name choosen feels more in line with a mall or shopping area for pet products
I really like my first choice. However, after the first choice the other options seem really lacking in creativity and really did come across as a ecomm store name.
I think Pawopolis is a cute name and so is CushyPaw but it makes me think it is out of my price range and I wouldn't bother looking into it. Or it sounds like it would only have purse dog clothes or something like that, so it is just not for me but maybe good for somebody else. Pawlot might sound a little bit too discounted but I'm slightly more likely to go there than Cushy Paw.

i like the 3 i selected the most
These are in order of the most luxurious sounding to the mundane.
Honestly, these are all terrible names for someone with any kind of accented speech, but especially a southern accent. PawMaw is how a person would ask for a certain brand of cigarettes. I rank ordered these in terms of least difficult to most difficult for accented speech, but they truly are all (p)awful.
HONESTLY I DON'T LIKE ANY OF THE NAMES PRESENTED. CUSHEY PAW IS THE LEAST OF ALL THE EVIL CHOICES.
The 3 I chose are cute names and the other sounds pretty weird
I linked CushyPaw the most because it sounded inviting and friendly whil Pawlot and PawMaw just wasn't that appealing to me
I think that option D is the cutest name that would drive customers to the store followed by Option C and A.
CushyPaw makes me happy because I think of a puppy's soft paw. PawMaw reminds me of Pall Mall Cigarettes so it makes me sad.
D is my favorite because it sounds soft, squishy and warm. Makes me feel good. C is cool because it makes me think of lots of choices and options. A big place. A was my next favorite because it made me thing the prices would be good. I think I related it to "Big Lots".
Option D conveys that pets are involved, but also has a soft, cuddly more gentle feel. Option A is not as cuddly, but does sound pet related and hints that there a lot waiting for the customer. Option C is an interesting name, but I'm not sure I would be inclined to visit that one as much as the others.
Pawopolis is just a bit too hard to say- the others flow off the tongue better and are more catchy and memorable!
D makes it sound like a high class elegant place to purchase pet things, C also sounds like a place for pets, didn't chose B because it doesn't seem associated with a store?
I chose these in order of what I thought was best for an online store for pet owners, that were most unique and memorable.
"CushyPaw" is easier to read and pronounce than all other options. I appreciate the pun attempts, but they're not very good
I like the use of the word Cushy, it makes it seem inviting to shoppers looking to spoil their pets. I like pawopolis because it sounds like I would have lots of product choices. Option three I chose just because I really didn't like the last option.
CushyPaw sounds like the most unique and inviting name, very appropriate for the store. Pawopolis sounds like the emporium version of the online pet store. I'm not a fan of Pawlot, but it's better than PawMaw which is way too close to the Paul Maul cigarette brand.
my 1st choice is really cute and it sticks out
