How much would you be willing to pay for a device that allows you to use smart speakers while being certain your privacy is protected?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 35 votes after 5 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

I would pay for this but not much even $19.99 seems like to much.
If I were to use such service I would not overpay, I'd pick the cheapest option.
I would pay no more than $20 to for this type of device. The next option would be just to not buy one if the prices were over my $20 threshold. I don't feel the privacy is worth the higher prices.
I would love to have that reassurance and the cheaper the better.
Simply put, the cheapest it'll be offered for. While I don't want to scrimp on security, I don't want to be taken to the cleaner to pay for it either. I felt starting at $19.99 (A) and going up from there was acceptable for me.
I chose option A because obviously the cheaper the better but I would definitely like to ensure a smart speaker is privacy focused and doesn't record me or keep recordings of me.
The most I would be willing to pay is 49.99. I would prefer to pay lower than that if possible. However, if the price was higher, than I would rather not pay to secure my privacy.
obviously the cheapest price i would never pay too much money to secure my privacy, i would play the radio for free
Privacy is very important to me but I am only willing to pay as little as possible.
privacy is very important and should be available at a reasonable price
A is the choice as $20 dollars is the cheapest and a price that looks attractive.
I voted based on how appealing the options were to me compared to the others and which ones I would click on in the real world.
I think 20 bucks is the best price point, I wouldn't spend any more than that for something unless I knew 100% it guaranteed my privacy.
A would be the best price to pay, I don't use smart speakers too much. If it was a smart speaker with this built in then I would be willing to pay a lot more.
I would go with the cheapest price. Plus the price of just under 20 seems like a good deal to me.
I do not believe that there should be speakers listening in and I think the cost to the population should have to bear the burden of the cost. I would chose the lowest amount possible to pay for this service. I then rated each by cost form cheapest to most expensive
I don't think you can ever be 100% certain your data and privacy is completely protected, but maybe for a small fee a service could increase your percentages of protection.
Choice A is my top pick because that is really the maximum price that I would consider paying for a device that allows you to use smart speakers while having privacy. Anything more then that would just be too expensive for my budget and not worth it at all to me. That is why Choice G was the second pick for me because I would rather not have the device then pay anything more. Choices B and C were next because at least those two are both at $50 or less. Choice D, E and F are all last because the pricing for them is ridiculous at $100 minimum. That is just way too much money.
This is not something I could pay a whole lot for.
Well of course I would want it to be as cheap as possible. I went in order of price.
Naturally, I would want to pay as little as possible. That is why I ranked the prices from lowest to highest. Realistically, I wouldn't pay more than $40 for it.
I would want to pay the cheapest, so I ranked the options accordingly but then after $100 it's just too much so I wouldn't pay over that.
if it works, then of course, i would rather pay the least. i would be willing to go about the same price as a google or echo device though.
My privacy is extremely important to me. I would pay just about anything to guarantee it.
I have been given no information on HOW they protect privacy, merely the cost.

I do not think I would pay more than 49.99 for it , so that would be my preferred price since I think the quality would be sufficient for this price. However, I would not spend any more than this.
$49.99 is probably my high end. It sounds interesting, and I'd of course want to see the product, but $50 is prolly in the ballpark.
$50 is the max I would like to spend.
I like to spend $50 for it. So, I choose option C
I would rather spend less money than more money but feel like if I spent too little, I would be questioning the quality of the service.

I own a couple of smart speakers from brands including Amazon and GOogle.. I care a great deal about my privacy but I have never had real concern for it while using smart speakers because I trust these big companies overall to have good security measures in place for user data. I only use my speakers for general use tasks like weather and web searches. With this said, I would not be willing to pay more than $99.99 for a speaker that does this.
I'd be willing to pay a premium for privacy.

The more you pay the better the product will be.
I believe in paying for quality

You usually get what you pay for and I am sure this is the best quality one also.
F because I believe having that privacy should serve as a premium.

I don't use smart speakers, so I have no need for such a device.
I dont really see this as a problem so I ranked based on least cost.
I don't use smart speakers because I don't trust the privacy - I would not be willing to pay more for security that I probably wouldn't trust either.
I do not think that I should have to pay extra for my privacy to be protected. This should not be something to be worried about.
I would likely not use the service as I could probably find another method that isnt costly. But i would want to know every detail of why, and how this works before I pay something for it.
I see no need for extra security when using a smart speaker.
If I'm using a smart ANYTHING, my privacy is not a concern.
I wouldn't really care about protecting privacy while using smart speakers
I'm reading this as a separate device from the speakers that would offer privacy protection. If that is the case, I am not willing to pay extra for that. Seems unnecessary.
I don’t use smart speakers and have no plans on starting. Thus I am not interested
i DO NOT SEE THIS AS AN ISSUE AT ALL. IF i AM USING A SMART SPEAKER, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT MY PRIVACY OR THINK THERE IS A REASON TO BE CAUTIOUS WHEN USING MY SMART SPEAKER
I do not listen to anything that private that I am worried about my security when listening to something. So my option is G.
I'm not interested in such a product.
I feel as if when pairing my device with a smart speaker my privacy isnt at too much of a risk.
