I think a 60L is best because 3 days requires a decent amount of supplies and the larger size is good.
I think 40L would be necessary to hold everything you would need for 3 days.
I bring about six to ten liters with me on every hiking trip, and my trips average about two days.
I own a 40L backpack. I think it is more than enough for me personally, and I typically have extra room. It holds a large amount of items and is comfortable to wear.
I would like 30L. I think that is enough but won’t be too heavy. Too much would make me struggle more and need to drink more
I would prefer the to buy a forty liter volume hiking backpack product image because that somewhat large backpack is about the size of my current hiking backpack and is large enough to carry most everything that I feel I need to have when going hiking in the mountains.
I think a 25 liter would be good. I wouldn't want it to be too heavy and hard to carry cause then I would want to drink more water. I do not own one now so I just feel like 25 liters is good.
I currently a bunch of hiking backpacks with various sizes. The one that I use the most is 30L.
For 1 to 3 days I would think 40L would be a good size
30 Liters is necessary. That is the amount I carry in my backpack and I think it works well.
I am pretty minimalist only taking what I need on where I go, so I would likely go with the 25l so that I would have a little room, but not enough to weigh me down.
1 day - 40 liters. 3 days - 60 liters. My current backpack is 40 liters and I don't camp overnight anymore since I have a 3 year old, but when she gets a little older I'll be taking her.
I would get 40l is good amount. It’s enough to drink and have a bit more just in case anything spills.
I think a 40L backpack is the right size. It allows you be bring enough to be prepared for most situations without being a burden.
I already own a 50L bag and think that it is plenty big. Possibly too big, so I would opt for a 40L for the comfort and easy of carry.
My current hiking sack is 30ml. I’m an average size person, any bit bigger is a bit too heavy for longer hikes.
For just a 3 day hike I would think that a 30L sack should be able to hold the needed supplies. Anything larger than a 30L would be to much space and would also weigh more as well.
When purchasing a Hiking Backpack for a 1-3 day hike, I feel that the 10l would be plenty enough because even with 10l it will weigh a lot and even more than that would be just to hard to carry or hike with.
I would say that it would be dependent on where you are going and the time of the year, the more you would need. If I were just going for a day or two, I would opt for the 10 or the 25 just because it wouldn't have to have so many items to carry.
I would want the 40L one because I feel like the 60 L one is overloaded and if you need that much you should not be hiking.
I think that it depends on your expertise. I am not an avid hiker or camper, so I would probably assume that I would need a 60 liter. But others who want to camp lightly and are experienced campers/hikers may just need a 40 liter. I would probably think that I needed more things than I actually needed - or I don't know enough about products that can be packed down or have multi-use, so I'd need the larger bag to bring all of my stuff.
I would use my 40L backpack for a 1-3 day hike.
I don't own a hiking backpack currently, but I would think that the middle option (30L) would be a good catch-all for an intensive 1-day hike or a relaxed 3-day hike. (40L) and above seems much too large for a 1-day hike.
The price and qaulity will be considered by how well it can truely hold the amount of packages and stuff its indicates it can hold.
I'm a little mixed. I'd likely be in the 30L or 40L range. Granted, I don't want to forget anything, gear wise, and you don't want to be in the middle of packing, and realize that you don't have room for all your gear. 60L is probably overkill for a couple day hike. It's more of a through hiking bag, but I'd likely buy the 40L. Just in case I need a little extra space.
There's a big difference between a 1 day hike and a 3 day hike. I think for a 1 day hike, a 40 liter backpack works just fine (and it's the one I have). For a hike longer than that, a 60L backpack would work better to carry more things along, such as a sleeping bag and emergency supplies.
I believe 40 L would be about right to be able to pack things in but not be too heavy so that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my hike.
I think a 40 liter backpack would likely be fine as 60 liters seem way too large as it comes up to right behind your neck, but 40 liters is large but still not obtrusive.
30L is a great midpoint for short and longer trek. Even if the hike is short, I always take extra water.
I'd be going 60L because I like to pack a lot of stuff when I do a multiple day hike. I don't mind the extra size and weight as it gives me a better workout when I'm on the trail.
I think the most water possible the better in case of emergencies.
I have a 25 liter one which is nice to me but I want to buy a 60 liter one because it will make me to have better capacity for me.
Mine is 40 l this is what I need I can have everything in it and still have room if I need more to take
30L because u can never be too careful even if you think your only going for a 1-3day hike you never know what can happen. Also carrying water filtration packages helps reduce the weight that needs to be carried
60 is a must if it is an overnight. You need room to stow something like padding or a tent for a sleeping spot (IF it's NOT an overnight it's VERY VERY different though). Note that it will likely NOT need to be that heavy, as padding for a tent or a lightweight tent takes ROOM but might not be weighty.
I believe something in the 20 - 30 L range would be sufficient.
I usually drink about 4 liters of water per day, so I think a good balance of being able to hike without being too tired and having enough in reserve to also use for ancillary use-cases such as washing things is about 30L per person for 3 days. I always try to take more than I need as I have encountered too many people that need help and are unprepared when I have gone hiking.
I would probably purchase the 25 liter for three days… a little over 8 liters a day sounds about right or more then enough..
I am clueless about this because I never gone hiking for that long, barely one our max. But I do not drink much water and I can see myself picking 25L backpack, seems it would be enough.
I'm not an avid hiker but I would go with 60L just to be safe and because I drink a lot of water
I would choose a 20L backpack in order to get me through this HIke! It's proven to be the best as far as weight is concerned and the amount of space needed to carry necessary items.
I like the 60L male design, which looks large and versatile. I am strong enough to carry such a pack for several days. Very helpful for sure!
I think i would be able to carry everything that i need in a 30 L bag without it becoming to cumbersome for me
40 is where you still the bag still looks nice aesthetically pleasing while also carrying a good amount.
It depends on the terrain I'm going to and if I plan on using a blanket or a full sleeping bag for a full sleeping bag I think a 40 Lt should be fine. For colder climates I generally need more space because you want to take more layers more layers. However a 30 leader should be fine if it's a temporary climate but I always put water in my bag too depending on if I'll be able to find it or have access to clean water
I would choose the 30L. It appears big enough to hold all of the essentials. I would bring a minimal amount with me, because I wouldn't want to carry any heavier of a pack.
I would say that at least 30L would be desirable for this duration of hike. Any more would be okay, but unnecessary. While any less wouldn't offer enough flexibility for what I might want to carry.
I would go with a 40L because it is big enough to hold enough items for a 3 day trip, but not too big to make it awkward to carry around for days.
25L is what I would go for. I already have a hiking backpack and this is what it is.
I think 40L is what i would get as that's what my current hiking backpack is and i think it gives a good balance between size and storage capacity for me for the amount of time i would be hiking and has enough room for carrying all the essentials i would need.
