Who do you prefer for the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee?
73 Responses to Option A
Prefer his ideas.
Overall better choice, not a fraud.
He is better than Hillary.
better policies
I prefer Bernie Sanders because I have more in common with his political policies then Clinton. I agree with him on 90% of the things he says, and I don't view him as someone who will flip flop on issues constantly like Hillary.
don't trust hillary
Feel the Bern!
Bernie is the only reasonable choice because he is the only one willing to get rid of the big banks and wall street.
He is the most honest, he has the best positions, as a side note I do not trust clinton at all. They have had their time.
I like the things he plans on doing.
He is a true liberal/progressive and takes no corporate money.
Feel the Bern.
his values align with my own
because she is for corporations
Bernie is more solid and has years of experience.
I like Bernie better.
I think that Sanders embodies hope for future generations while Clinton entrenches privilege and power in the hands of the plutocracy. Where Sanders seems genuine, clearly has integrity, and seems to be focused very much on utilitarian gains for the majority of people in the United States, Clinton or PACs that support her have actively sought out the support of industries that directly profit off of the suffering of others, such as for profit prison industries, fossil fuel, Wall Street and the pharmaceutical industries. The Sanders campaign is powered almost exclusively by small donor donations and that's really important to me.
i think Bernie represents the mass of people and also has the policies that the country needs to enact to become a more civilized nation.
More progressive
Hillary is bought and sold. And rotten.
Bernie Sanders is more progressive in terms of race, disability, economic policy, LGBT issues, women's issues. I will vote for whoever the democratic nominee is though.
Bernie Sanders is authentic, caring, and doesn't lie to people to get their votes, then turn around and go against the people's wishes. He wants to overturn Citizen United, which will help get big money out of politics, because we are becoming an oligarchy where a wealthy few are in control because of campaign contributions. 1 person, 1 vote. Raise the minimum wage to a living wage, universal healthcare, affordable college and university tuition.
I think Bernie Sanders has the best interests of the American people at heart - not his own best interests (like some other people).
Bernie Sanders wants to break the big banks, give people single payer healthcare, and raise the minimum wage to $15. He doesn't take money from Super PACs and billionaires and millionaires.
Bernie speaks on real issues
I am a poor college student. Loans suck.
I think Clinton has a better chance to win
Better candidate.
I think he's focused on the people more than her. I support what he believes in about education and healthcare. He's definitely focused on the working class.
I would take either candidate but I think Bernie brings something to the table that I really like. I think he has lots of ideas that would work for Republicans as well as Democrats. I think if Hillary gets elected Republicans will do the exact same thing they did to Obama and just dig in and refuse to do anything to try and make her look bad.
He is more for the people, trustworthy, and promoting upward mobility in this country
I think option B is a liar. Option A agrees more with my own liberal views.
I support his policies more.
I think Hillary is too influenced by money and special interest.
He has the right ideas on what the country needs. He is forward-thinking and compassionate.
Fell The Berrrrrrrrrrn! Enough said
I believe that he will work the best for the people who are of the middle class and he truly believes in what he is campaigning for. I agree with his viewpoints on jobs, student debt, financial issues, and healthcare issues.
I am a big bernie sanders supporter and have been since he announced. I will vote for him if he is elected to the front seat.
He's got great ideas for the country, and doesn't have the degree of baggage that Hillary has.
Feel the Bern!
I'm feeling the Bern!
So many reasons to like Bernie, so many reasons to dislike Hillary. He's a legit nice guy, and consistent on his principles for 30 years.
Only real candidate. Hilary is just more of the same.
He's not a Clinton
Hillary is a little too slippery for my taste.
I don't think Hillary is trustworthy. I don't think she's earned the job - her entire political career is built on her husband's past. I don't like how she assumes I should vote for her just because I'm a woman.
No brainer, can't trust Hillary
He's a breath of fresh air
I agree with a lot of what Bernie says. His lack of big money interests in extremely appealing. I feel like he actually has the pulse of the American public and knows the needs and priorities. I feel like Clinton is just another career politician and will only push the political landscape to the center further. Also, she was a big proponent of censoring video games in the late 90s and early 2000s and I just can't forget that. She saw an easy target in video games and used that to increase her appeal to "concerned mothers" who think that video games are the problem and not the fact that they have a choice of what video games they allow their kids to play.
I like his ideas for healthcare and schooling.
I believe in his message about getting big money out of politics and expanded healthcare
Bernie, all the way.
Definitely Bernie. There is just something about Hillary that I don't like. I don't consider her trustworthy and I believe she would do everything she can to procure the presidency - whether its helpful to the nation or not.
He has better policies on many issues than Clinton
Hillary is being bought out by corporations and not practicing what she preaches.
I do not trust Hillary at all, and she always comes across as whiny and condescending.
I prefer Bernie because I side with him on more issues and have an easier time believing him to be sincere.
I have heard good things about both, but my partner has strong feelings about Sanders
just like him better of the two.
I want someone who isn't in the pocket books of major corporations.
Much better candidate, stuck to his guns for 30+ years, wants the same things I want
I disagree with HIlary on single payer healthcare.
Hillary isn't trustworthy and she's too much a part of the establishment.
I don't trust Hilary at all.
I think that Bernie Sanders is a viable option for the Democratic party because he appears to be sincere and interested in offering chances for change and growth for the country.
I am concerned about Hillary's ties to big banks and for-profit prisons.
I am torn on this one. In the primary (2 months ago) I voted for Hillary, but now I am leaning more toward Sanders.
Not as much baggage has Hillary and he has been fighting for liberal issues for the last 20+years
Not that I would be disappointed to have Hillary as President, mind you.
feel the bern!
I prefer Option A's (Bernie Sanders) policy standards.
Hillary is too conservative for me (supports the death penalty, for example) and I like a lot of Bernie's ideas.
I agree with his politics more. I think he is more aggressive with his ideas and not so middle of the road as hillary.

We need someone who has more foreign policy experience than Bernie. While his domestic policies are great, we need someone more worldly wise at this moment in time.
she has more experience and her husband used to be president
She has more experience.
I have been a fan of Hillary's since the 90s. She is a strong woman with experience who can continue the good work Obama has done. Bernie Sanders is great, but his ideas are not feasible in the current political climate of today.
I think she'd make a better executive even though I tend to agree with Bernie more on the issues.
Clinton has both breadth and depth of experience, has specific plans, can give specifics for those plans, and has more knowledge of foreign policy.
I am impressed with her service in office already and believe she is the most capable candidate.
Can we have a third option? C neither. But if i have to choose then Hillary only so she can make history and be the first women president.
Have supported her and her husband since the 90s
She is not as liberal as Bernie and I think she has a good chance of becoming the first female president.
I feel like Clinton has the international experience to represent the US. I like some of Sanders ideas bur feel that he hasn't figured out how to pay for them.
I like them both but I prefer Hillary because I really want to see a woman president.
She has all the experience you would need to be president. It seems ridiculous to me that everyone overlooks the resume in their selection of president. Also it seems like Bernie Sanders has shifted his attitude lately to be more like an angry cranky old man. I used to like and respect him, but lately he's just been making me question whether he was putting on a false nice guy persona.
I don't like Hillary, but I honestly believe Bernie isn't capable of doing half of what he says. Hillary may be sleazy, but she can get stuff done.
I love Bernie but don't think he can hold up as nominee
because i want to vote for a woman.
She is the most qualified candidate for President in U.S. history. I support her wholeheartedly and volunteer for her campaign.
more traditional
She seems to be smarter.
I like Bernie, but he is too strong of a liberal. This is a problem because our conservative heavy Congress will not agree with any of his policies. Hillary is more of a realistic candidate.
I think she has more respect from other world leaders.
This is tough because I like different aspects for both of them. Honestly I would be happy with either one of them over any of the republican candidates though.
She has more experience with international leaders and is well-rounded.
better choice
Bernie Sanders is just too liberal/socialist for me, I'm 37 years old, married with no children, I don't want to have to pay for everyone else's kids to get free college, I had to pay for mine! Hillary isn't that much better, but comparing her to Bernie and Trump, she's the only choice...though it feels like choosing between a punch in the stomach and a punch in the nose
I think she's the better candidate.
More experienced and respected among world leaders.
